Anyone else have this happen I feel like 1 year plus 3 or so months is not the cause of this but i could be wrong..?
Never had this problem before
The Rom latest Gingerbread miui.us release
Its my wife's she said she tried to charge it all last night then it died at work. Brought it home I plugged it in for a half hour the charging symbol only stays for seconds then vanishes to a blank screen.
Any help with this would be great
Edit plugged into a different charger than laptop USB and it booted
Mod delete or lock just in case someone else has problems just lock

Edit still having charging problems took almost 20 hours with 75% charged
Using Nook Color power block that came with it and nook USB not NC USB it charged fine now its not does miui.us normally have this problem?
Could be Rom ill try and reflash or go to cm7 7.2
And is there an app that tells me what kinda voltages are getting into the nook color while being charged?

My friend was having really bad problems with charging her nook with CM7. She tried new cables, etc with not much luck. I even considered having her get a new battery. Finally I advised her to go to CWM recovery and wipe battery stats. It came back to life. Been working great since.

You also mentioned (I think) that you were using a non-Nook cable. That cable will charge, but very slowly. You need to use the Nook Color cable for it to charge quickly.
Cant get past the charging screen
I would like to try and clear battery stats but I cannot get past the charging screen. I am using the NC power brick and cord. Any ideas?
Opened up unplugged battery plugged back in. Works fine

randomly when I play little empire, my phone will suddenly die.then when I turn it on it says I have no battery left. sometimes if I reboot it'll say I have around 20 to 30 percent. this happens even after I tried battery calibration (the app and in cwm) and even if I fully charge my phone. I'm on tdjs Kang with stock kernel on darkside gov

I have to comment cause im having the same problems. But instead playing games, mine will just die. It happen now btw, it was on charge all night woke up and seen that there was no charge on the battery, i unpluged it and now it wont charge and my orange led just flashes when i plug it into a charger. In order to get out of it last time i used a walmart charger. Took out the battery pluged it in, took it out over and over and different ways. I was about to bash it. Well then out of the blue it started to charge again and turn on with absolutly no charge but did show it started to charge again. It only happens with cm7, cause thats only what i use the most. So i dunno whats the deal is im tempted to take it to tmobile store and see if they can give me a replacement battery and to see if its the battery itself. So hell i dont know what the heck its doing but i need it for my job cause im a truck driver and i depend on it to get loads and what not. It doesnt power up,doesnt boot into recovery, but does turn on when i hold the volume button and power button in the vibrate unknown mode and orange led flashes. I know i didnt brick it because ive been in this situation before and works after i did the special pattern to get it working again. The pattern is unknown cause it all depends so dont ask it was a euthastic comment. so hell buddy me and you are in the same boat until then

Edit** ok i managed to get it turned on again, pulled battery, sim, sdcard. Put it on charge then waited a few minutes, then put battery in it and then plugged it back in. It worked, im going to try to post a screenshot of the battery usage. I got to let the battery charge up some, so i can put everything back in it. I dunno it may be related to the emmc chip.

My wifes phone constantly shuts off running on battery power. If it is plugged in, it is fine. The battery will show 90% and it still dies. I have tested this battery in other vibrants and it's fine. I'm gonna try calibration but, this doesn't exactly seem like just a calibration issue to me. Any other suggestions? Thanks

for some reason i had the same issue on the previous vibrant i had.. when i flashed ics passion it was doing the same thing i though it wouldve been a software issue but i figured out that SetCPU was in fact cause the random reboot same way like yours plugged in perfectly fine all of a sudden the phone would shut down idk i hope i helped

maybe try cleaning the area where the battery connects on the backside of the phone. Could be a connection issue caused by dirt or something. Use a very small amount of isopropyl alcohol on a Q-tip.

Thanks everyone. I was using ICS Passion with no overclocking. I switched to the CM9 nightly and it hasn't happened since. It's still weird because the phone was on Passion for months. I even nandroided back to a fresh Passion install and it still happened.

This past Christmas, I hacked my son's NC and installed CM7.2 and bought him that charging base/speaker combo. This has worked out really well for him so far.
Until this past weekend, anyway. For some reason, his NC isn't taking a charge. When I plug it into any charger, be it the speaker base or his wall charger or the one I have for my NT, the battery indicator shows itself to be charging but the n remains green. No matter how long I leave it on, or what charging device I use, his battery indicator always returns to yellow when it comes off.
Is there anything on CM7.2 that might be causing this? Should I wipe and rehack?

First, try a new B&N cable.
That's the thing, I've tried the NC with all four of the B&N NC/NT cables we have in the house. No dice.

Do you have Nook Tweaks set to USB Host or USB/VBus "on"?
I honestly have no clue. Where would I check?

Look in the app drawer for Nook Tweaks. If it is not there look in settings.
This sounds like the same thing that occasionally happened to me! Try rebooting while plugged in.

I tried rebooting in every manner possible. I've cleared the dalvik. And I've looked for Nook Tweaks and that USB thing and I can't find anything that even looks like that. No dice on any of that :/

You have to download nook tweaks from the Play Store.

Okay, so I need to download Nook Tweaks and turn off this USB thing?
Here's another quirk I noticed. My son's NC has been off the charger for about two hours now with him playing it, but the battery indicator still animates like it's charging.
Sent from my Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet using Tapatalk 2
I get that same issue...I just plug the cable in then pull it out again until that shuts off.....otherwise it will drain the battery like crazy.....I swear whatever battery B&N used in the nook colors is crap...especially with it being internal...

So would y'all suggest reinstalling the ROM? Or should I DL Nook Tweaks and turn off that USB thing?

I have now tried to find a solution to this in the forum but every thead I look through seem to have the LED blinking fast 3 times.
My problem is:
I updated to 4.3 yesterday. I was running stock with root and CWM recovery.
During the night something happened while the charger was pluged in. When I woke up the phone would not turn on and when I connect my charger the LED is constant red. I search around the forum and google and tried to keep the charger pluged in for 2 hours. Nothing happened. Then I read that the battery connector might be the problem and disconnected/connected it again. This did nothing ether.
Is this a sign that the battery is dead? Is there anyhting else I can try?
I dont want to order a new battery before I know that is the problem. Could it be somthing else?
Hope you can help!

so a voltmeter detects the battery alright?
if you get a red light while pluged in then it must be the battery, cannot charge the battery or show charging animation or boot at all.
scary knowing that I charge my phone during the night.
