[Q] Signature in Windows 8 Mail - Windows 8 General

Hi Guys & Gals,
Has anyone managed to figure out how to add a signature for each email account that is configured in Windows 8 Mail?
I quite like the layout of Windows 8 Mail from the Metro UI and I cannot see any section to add a unique or a global one for that matter anywhere....
Cheers

Windows Mobile v Windows Live contacts

Hi guys,
I'm hoping someone can help me here.....
I've been trying out different ROMs with few issues, and have settled on using udK's 8.0 R1.
I had been saving my Windows Mobile contacts to Windows Live, which worked well for me, allowing me to edit all contacts - including those which were only phone numbers - in Windows Live Mail. However, a couple of days ago, I noticed a few contacts seemed to be missing - not a problem as I'd backed them using PIMbackup a couple of weeks ago. However, on restoration, I synced with Windows Live, which caused all of my Windows Live contacts to disappear. Note that all the contacts details are still available in my Windows Mobile contact list.
Can somebody help me restore my Windows Live contacts, so I can use Messenger again!
Hmm... try this:
Launch the "Windows Live" icon. Select Menu > Account options > 2 Switch Windows Live ID which will ask you if you want to replace the current Windows Live account on the device. Answer yes.
Then try to re-register your account on your device. This should re-sync the whole Windows Live story to your device.
Please report back if this solved your problem.
Thanks for that Schaggo, but I think I didn't make myself very clear. I got desperate in the end and made every single Windows Mobile contact a Windows Live contact by hand! Painful for my 170-odd contacts, could be a lot worse for someone else!
I think somewhere in the PIMbackup/restore process, all my Live contacts got overwritten by themselves as Windows Mobile contacts, therefore next time I did a sync, Live thought I'd deleted them all. I think next time I should restore my contacts from Live, don't you......

[WM6.5] "Enable Updates" in Pocket Outlook?

So I'm poking around in Pocket Outlook, and under "Menu>Tools>" there's a Greyed out item named "Enable Updates". I tried searching for any info regarding this, but couldn't find any. I can't find anything that allows me to use the item from the menu, but was curious what it was for. Anyone care to enlighten me?
This functions works with Exchange 2010
I don't know how, but it works only with 2010
SMS Sync works only with Exchange 2010 too...
Thanks for the info!
Yeah, it's an Exchange 2010 feature and seems it will also work with WM6.1:
Over the Air Update Mode
You can now push new Outlook Mobile updates/new versions to Windows Mobile 6.1 and above. This is really nice since you no longer have to wait for a new Windows Mobile OS version to obtain a new version of Outlook Mobile.

Also, slightly off-topic: Has anyone figured out how to actually send SMS from Outlook/OWA with Exchange 2010?

[Q] Contacts List (People)

Hi
I have a contacts widget on my Nexus7 but it doesn't contain the same information as that on my Laptop in Windows Live. Is there a way to have my contact details copied from my Laptop to my Tablet?
I also cannot see how to set up my Tablet to permanently sync with my Laptop. How is this done?
Managed to work it out myself after a great deal of research and then trial & error.

[Q] Disable Exchange Security Policies

Hi guys,
Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, if is not the right place I will move it.
Recently I bought a Windows 8.1 tablet, so playing around with the pre-installed apps I set up my corporate exchange account in the Mail App(Metro) and it disabled the option to access with PIN and picture just the password was left as an option. So just wondering if is it possible to disable the exchange security that is imposed by the Mail App in Windows 8/8.1.
Thanks guys,
I get the feeling that you think it would work the same way as that of Android where you simply flash a cracked /modded .APK file
I simply use OWA (Outlook Web App) so as not to have to conform to the security.
You could also install a full copy of MS Outlook (desktop version) so as to bypass that requirement.

Left click or long hold on the start menu, click control panel then user accounts. On left hand side of the window you will find 'reset security policies' at the bottom of the list.
I think you can also do it in Local Security Policy editor (secpol.msc) but I haven't ever tried. The actual restriction is stored in the registry. Be aware that if you continue using the corporate account, you'll probably get locked out of picture password again. Also be aware that what you're asking for is probably a violation of your company's policies and is much less secure (in order for the feature to work, your machine must store the password or an equivalent to it; normally no such thing is stored).

Hi Guys, any update on this? Would we have a patch of some sort to block this policy enforcement? My Android Nine app can simply accept a 4 digit pin and encrypt its own data, but Windows 8.1 Mail App (surface pro 3) insists on putting a complex password. It's a headache to write a complex password each time even if I set timeout to 15 mins.
I also could not find any other alternative, even Touchdown pulled support for Win 8.1 app. I can use an Android emulator but then we are losing connected standby function of getting mail updates automatically even when screen is off.
