usb not working on Streak 5 - help

I am running streakdroid 1.91 and USB only works to charge the Streak.
Nothing else happens --- I get no USB Mass storage icon and my computer does nothing when I attach either the USB cable or the home dock via USB.
Fastboot USB detect also does NOT work -- it just hangs.......
Other than charge the computer, USB does nothing!
Any ideas? Please?

Have you checked to make sure you don't have an unrecognized device in your device manager? Most of the time the problem is simply drivers, could possibly be the cable, and hopefully it's not a hardware problem
usbdisk - enables auto mounting of usb drives using host mode - also mounts ntfs drives but breaks usb to pc mounting of streaks sd card.
last time i got that issue was when i flash a new rom with the above option.hope this helps.relook into your install.txt while flashing.
I had a similar problem and I was using one of the Dell ROM's. I was never able to fix it and spent about a frustrating hour on the phone with Dell Support (them telling me that there was a problem with three different computers and suggesting that I didn't understand how to plug in a USB cable). They eventually replaced the hardware.

loading book from computer on uSD cm7

ok I'm wanting to load books from my pc to the NC. If I'm running the nook software I just plug it in and it finds the nook color then I drag and drop the files.. no problem. when I'm booted into the cm7 from uSD, when I plug it in it shows 2 new removable media drives but when I click on them it askes to me add the removable medial??? when I take the uSD out ad look at it on my pm it only shows the boot image not the file structures? How do I load books into my uSD cm7 from my computer?
1. Plug the NC into PC (running Windows)
2. Look at the NC's notification area, if you see usb icon appear then
3. Tab on it, then tab on "USB connecting to PC" or whatever it says not usb for debug
4. Read the warning, then tap to turn the USB mass storage on.
5. On PC, it should recognize the CM7 by now.
6. Do whatever you want to do.
Note: properly remove ubs on PC before tab to turn off USB Mass storage on the NC.
Votinh is correct. Alternatively, I just use dropbox to wirelessly sync files to my nook.

Problem connecting to Defy's Memory card

Dear all,
I've been using Defy for 6 months, been alright, but for the last 2 wks, I have stopped being able to connect to my Defy's Memory card via USB cable anymore. I think perhaps I did uninstall some moto drivers or something, so I decided to reinstall it, but that wont help.
All it notify me on my Win 7 when I connect my defy is "Android ADB Device connected"
How am I supposed to solve this problem?
Thanks so much in advance,
You shouldn't need any drivers to connect to the memory card. When you plug the cable into the Defy, pull down the notification bar and select the USB Mass Storage option, then tap OK. (Also, go into your settings and make sure USB Debugging is not enabled.) The Defy will act like a USB thumb drive.
thanks a bunch, i forgot to turn it off, never thought bout that before.
i just updated to Wajkiui 1.12.16 today, n it just happened again. Can't connect to my sdcard even thou i turned usb debugging off already.
I tried going to recovery, and mount SD card through recovery menu, but nothing show up in my computer.
My external HDD can connect pretty well w the same usb port ... what on earth might be happening w my fone n pc?
I have same problem with Defy+
I have installed ICS.
In system menu I have "USB Debugging" OFF and if I select "Share SD Card",
USB debugging is still on and I cannot connect to SD card.

I'm also having this issue. Tried flashing B518 again, installed Recovery, flashed elora with all wipes.
When I connect the usb cable, it only charges the phone. If I enable usb debugging, it detects I've connected an usb cable, but nothing more.
If I reboot the phone with usb cable connected to pc, during startup the phone FC android.process.media
