Blinking orange and green led? - myTouch 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My notification light is alternating between green and orange and I have no clue why..
My battery is low but it should just blink orange for that.
I've done some research and they sat the battery is overheating, the battery is not hot at all so I'm doubting that is the issue.
I'm running ICS currently.
any ideas of what this is.
Also, I can check to see if it's a notification as the LCD is busted until I get it fixed, it's just driving me nuts.

Most probably you have a notification so the LED alternates between red for low battery and green for the notification. It's what it does on mine and I'm on ICS also (I2IEAILiiTY's hybrid)

Exact meaning of led notifications, my phone won't charge

I know my mda has a red - orange - green (bi)LED and a blue LED.
Yesterday my battery was very low, but i couldn't charge it because i wasn't home. I thought that it wouldn't be a problem, i 've backups at home, etc, so i didn't worry... When i was back home i tried to charge it, but when a do so, a red light shows up and after a while it changes to blue.
Does anyone know what's wrong or at least know what the different colours mean?
tested the battery -> full
tested my battery in another phone.. was completely full, so the charging is not a problem, but i'm afraid my phone is dead...

Led colours..

Hi guys,
can someone explain me the possible colours of the Jam's led and what they mean?
Static orange means charging, static green means fully charged, blinking green means network reception is ok, blinking orange means incoming event (alarms, SMS, phone call etc) or existing GPRS connection. The blue LED means Bluetooth active.
And red means dead battery.

It's called a backup battery. I think the LED comes on then the SD reader shuts down and the screen goes to half brightness. Don't forget the backup battery.
So there!!
the red comes on if i take the battery out while it's connected to usb, probably means error with the battery
and i think it comes on on low battery as well
I tested it last night. When my battery got down to 10% the screen went to half brightness, the radio turned off, the SD card slot shut down and the red LED began blinking.

So the battery is not dead.... Still have a little juice on it
Regards,
Arto.
Non windows 2005 pocketpcs retain about 40% of battery when the battery low indicator is showing:
How much battery charge do you think you have then? 5% maybe?
Try half.
Yes, when we shut you down because your batteries were "critically low," they were still 1/4 to 1/2 full. Why? Because, if the batteries ever fully died, it would be catastrophic.

Hero LED not permanent whilst charging...

I've just noticed that the LED light on my Hero is flashing whilst charging rather than being on permanently.
I'm getting 3 orange followed by 1 green.
Any ideas what this means?

Never seen this before. Sounds like an error code of some sort. Is the battery maybe on the way out?
I got red and green flashing when it is charging and sharing internet connection

[Q] Led Status Indicator

I just got the Huawei IDEOS X5. Once the battery ran low, I plugged it to the charger. The problem is that the Led Status Indicator (above the screen on the front of the phone) doesn't become orange (it is green). According to the instructions this Led should be orange while the charge is in progress, and become green once the phone is fully charged. This behavior does not follow the info described in the manual of the phone.
Has anyone had the same problem? Do you know why this is happening? Should I return the phone back to the seller?
Thanks
khtc
Led burns green, when the battery is above 90% or so. Under that should be orange. Sometimes when you plug in the charger, it takes time even to start charging (Led is green then). I'd say try to observe more
I thought the same when I first start charging my device, but when the device was fully charged I realized that the led(which seems to me green) wasn't.
The orange color of the led it's not so orange(like was on other devices) but is more close to green(again the green on other devices). On ideos the the green led it's not so light and yellowish, it's more deep like trees green.
And what sanpsa says happens also after 90%
Thank you guys. You were 100% right both!
Dunno, whether it depends of soft or not, but when battery below 15% (or 10%) LED should be red. For mine device it's so.

[Q] Red light?

I have this red light that only appears on my screen when its on, but when screen's off it disappears, is this the red light of death?

With the red light of dead the phone isn't booting at all, so no. Are you running Semaphore kernel? With semaphore kernel the led turns red when phone gets hot, and it can be disabled using semaphore manager app.

Or perhaps you have a LED notification system and you have a missed call or the like
All I needed to do was switch the kernel, I also have another question to ask and I'll ask it here so I don't have to make another thread.
How come my phone gets hot sometimes while charging?

Its normal for this BEAST with this configuration.. 40 degree is normal. Even my phone gets heated while charging or long hours surfing on net. relax.

The more you use the battery, be it discharging or charging, the hotter it's going to get, some kernels actually have a shutdown mechanism if it gets to something like 80C (176F or so) which personally to me seems insane, but considering that 40C (~104F) is actually normal and cool compared to computers I guess it's not all that surprising.
