Hello,
i just bought a new nexus s (I9020) and after root i installed NScollab 1.0.18.
having 2 issues:
1. the browser won't launch, everytime i try to launch it i get an force close.
2. the battery won't charge over 98%, it's plugged to the charger for about 10 hours already and it's stuck at 98%.
thank you!
Leo
Did you do a full wipe before installing the custom rom? If not don't know about the browser not launching .The battery is not going charge to 100% with plug in charge, because of the safety charging feature.
I try to do a full wipe and install cm7-browser working. After that i did a full wipe and installed nscollab-browser not working.
About the charge-what is that feature?

read this thread.. it's explained why there is such feature.
Thank you. Any idea about the browser issue?

So, CM7 browser works, but NSCollab's doesnt? That's strange since NSCollab is basically CM7 with few modifications that shouldn't cause any major issues. Have you asked in the NSCollab thread to see if anyone else had the problem?
I want to use my old Defy battery on my defy+ (as a emergency battery, using my old defy to charge it), will it work?
Did you test it already?
only the load don't displayed right. that's all what happen.
Jelly powered.Defy
with stock rom, the load will only get up till 85%.
but it will works normal.
When you use a custom rom, the you might get a battery fix.

Just buy a motorola Defy and because i am a n00b  this phone has CG7 rom software ... so now i find i am stuck on that....
i install CM10 Quarx ROM but when charging it will go until 90% or 95% ... and Battery HD say 90% and 4.167 V ... if i charge the phone closed it will go 100% but the same voltage is reported ,,, wipped status battery dont help and even FIX battery 1500mAh not fixed ( Fixed 1st time when showed 100% but after go again to 90%....) deleting the battd.bin and other files from root folder and replaced with another one dont worked too
so my Defy is GREEN lens with DEFY+ CM10 Quarx.... any suggestion how can i fix ?
sorry for my bad english
Did you try running the battery from completely full to empty? usually you need a couple of charge cycles to let the smart board on the battery reset itself.
now i change the battery... i buy one from DEFY+ 1750mAh
but now is stay always at 100% but only 4002 V ....
i must put patcg again from 1700mAh ? or reinstall the ROM ?
Try toe calibrate your battery

the problem can be the battery, even if it's a new one.
I tried two other batteries, and the problem had continued.
I think the other ones was fake/old batteries, but sold as original and new.
Thanks for the help, the problem is solved, I just had to do full sbf install for 3 times. Now my mobile is on for about 26 hours using the new battery. (On 4.2.2)
Maybe I had problems both with the old battery and the battery files on the ROMs.

I have been experiencing similar battery problems running Whiterabbit 2.1.1 on my Green lens Defy Mb525. Which 4.2.2 ROM are you using Jinx? If I flash a new ROM and recalibrate the battery is that likely to fix it? I'm guessing sbf install is the same as a full factory reset. (forgive me, I'm a beginner when it comes to all this!) How come you needed to reinstall 3 times?
I don't know, what solved my problem, but the fact is that I reinstalled the sbf three times than updated to Quarx's latest 4.2.2 nightly than I got it right.
My phone just run out of power after 3 days 4 hours. Good luck!

Thanks for taking the time to reply Jinx.
3 days is excellent! I flashed sbf twice, had some trouble running Jellybean ROMs without serious lag, so am currently reverting back to 7.2, running 'Cyanmobile experience'. It runs smoothly, but still encountering the battery drops, so its somewhat of a mystery!
I'll keep experimenting.
I have a spare battery, and an external wall charger. Currently swapping between the two to last through the day with enough juice!

Somehow, even for me, after 3 sbf flashes, CM10 is really smooth and there are no problems so far. Oddly, after the second sbf flash, CM10 was quite laggy.
I bought my brand New defy in October 2012. I've had huge battery drops ever since I jumped onto the CM10 bandwagon from this February. How's that possible?

Hello,
I have a defy+ and was using Quarx CM10 but I had too many FC and reboots, so I decided to try CM10.2
Most of it works like a charm, but the battery is stuck at 100%, when I remove the battery and connect to the charger it also shows me a 100% icon!
Also, I'm not willing to try to wait until battery dies because it is not showing "charging" in any situation, plus this version has a bug when battery reaches zero.
Anyone had any idea how could I fix it? I really appreciate any help! Thx!
Flash CM11. This bug is fixed there
