[Q] Defy+ stuck at 100% - Defy Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I have a defy+ and was using Quarx CM10 but I had too many FC and reboots, so I decided to try CM10.2
Most of it works like a charm, but the battery is stuck at 100%, when I remove the battery and connect to the charger it also shows me a 100% icon!
Also, I'm not willing to try to wait until battery dies because it is not showing "charging" in any situation, plus this version has a bug when battery reaches zero.
Anyone had any idea how could I fix it? I really appreciate any help! Thx!

Flash CM11. This bug is fixed there

[Q] Defy battery fix not working (CM7)

I'm running CM7 on my standard Defy, and a lot of the times, the battery doesn't charge even when it's connected..
I've run a battery calibration app from the store several times, but the fix is only temporary. I've even flashed Auris's red lens fix for ICS but that didn't seem to help.. I'm guessing it's not compatible with GB
Does anybody where I can find a fix for CM7?
And is this happening frequently cuz I play a lot of games on my phone?
edit - I've noticed that even when it does charge, it charges at the rate of about 1% every 5 minutes or so which is incredibly slow
Edit 2 - seems like calibrating it every time the discharge occurs doesn't seem to be helping either!!!!
Can anybody help??
calibrate after charging to 100%
and why the heck did you flash battery fix?? You don't need it for cm7

It seems to be okay now.. i flashed the fix because the calibration app didn't solve the problem at the time

The red lens fix is for defy running defy+ kernel because the defy+ battery is different. CM9 requires a defy+ kernel, cm7 runs on a regular defy kernel.
Please don't randomly flash things.

Defy battery on Defy+

I want to use my old Defy battery on my defy+ (as a emergency battery, using my old defy to charge it), will it work?
Did you test it already?
only the load don't displayed right. that's all what happen.
Jelly powered.Defy
with stock rom, the load will only get up till 85%.
but it will works normal.
When you use a custom rom, the you might get a battery fix.

the problem can be the battery, even if it's a new one.
I tried two other batteries, and the problem had continued.
I think the other ones was fake/old batteries, but sold as original and new.
Thanks for the help, the problem is solved, I just had to do full sbf install for 3 times. Now my mobile is on for about 26 hours using the new battery. (On 4.2.2)
Maybe I had problems both with the old battery and the battery files on the ROMs.

I have been experiencing similar battery problems running Whiterabbit 2.1.1 on my Green lens Defy Mb525. Which 4.2.2 ROM are you using Jinx? If I flash a new ROM and recalibrate the battery is that likely to fix it? I'm guessing sbf install is the same as a full factory reset. (forgive me, I'm a beginner when it comes to all this!) How come you needed to reinstall 3 times?
I don't know, what solved my problem, but the fact is that I reinstalled the sbf three times than updated to Quarx's latest 4.2.2 nightly than I got it right.
My phone just run out of power after 3 days 4 hours. Good luck!

Thanks for taking the time to reply Jinx.
3 days is excellent! I flashed sbf twice, had some trouble running Jellybean ROMs without serious lag, so am currently reverting back to 7.2, running 'Cyanmobile experience'. It runs smoothly, but still encountering the battery drops, so its somewhat of a mystery!
I'll keep experimenting.
I have a spare battery, and an external wall charger. Currently swapping between the two to last through the day with enough juice!

Somehow, even for me, after 3 sbf flashes, CM10 is really smooth and there are no problems so far. Oddly, after the second sbf flash, CM10 was quite laggy.
I bought my brand New defy in October 2012. I've had huge battery drops ever since I jumped onto the CM10 bandwagon from this February. How's that possible?
