I found a problem with this 3.1 rom! After rebooting, it lost all contacts of the device, only sim contacts left! I have tried three times, the same problem remains!

Exactly!!! Why should you.
BTW, if you don't wanna lose your data, you might have to keep the old data.img (not replacing with the new one). However, this might work with the same build, I never try with other builds..

To be honest I asked a question the other day - no one bothered to answer - I guess no body knew the answer (can you keep key lights on in android during use like you can in Windows using keypad led control?)
Sometimes people get frustrated but more often its just a lack patience.

Try to search the question, or read more before asking, things might happen differently

Lol.. Der must be an option to "LIKE" a Post.. Same as we have on facebook..
Best way to NEVER lose your contacts is to sync them with google. They'll be re-synced on any new build.
I do this cause using Titanium backup to shift contacts/messages from a clean Froyo build to a Sense build always corrupts the build and force closes everything on boot.

But if everyone just do this, the forum will be a mess, don't always just think of yourself please will you people.
What are the rules about posting other peoples work, i.e. ROMS and themes? Im not sure but I see over in other forums, like the EVO for example where 5 people are making ROMS using a base that they give credit to one guy for. I only ask this because over here in the D2 section, there is only 3-4 different groups working on stuff, everyone is tight lipped and not willing to let anyone in on the "secret". I see random posts where it says that the source for the base of ALL these ROMS is open, meaning ANYONE should have access, and ANYONE should be able to do as they please with them. I know that is not the case and it comes down to who you know, just like anywhere else in life, but I think the community is only being held back because we only have those select few working on new stuff....DONT get me wrong, all the devs. are doing amazing work for us D2 users, I just think we are being limited alot. I sent a pm to one dev in particular asking him to release a variant of his themes with the ApeX flip and fly out transition animations added. They are really cool and they compliment his ROMS well. I even got permission from some others to use those. I not only didnt get a response, but when I pm'd him askin why he hadnt responded, he said he never got it, (I still have it in my outbox). I just think it would be cool to have, say, a Fission Blackout ROM with the blackout Swype and android keyboard, and the cool transitions from ApeX, and only have to flash one zip in recovery. Due to question being answered and consent of the OP, thread closed
I started this thread since there's been already a few days without any news about developing for this phone. If you are reading this, I kindly request you to post here IF you know someone who's developing ROMs or anything. Or if you are a developer by your own.
There are a lot of users out there looking for custom rom for this device. And it would be useful if people could read here, if anything's going on. It is very frustrating when you've no idea if there's gonna be anything.
Of course I know about Cranium ROM and CWM attempts and stuff but none of them works properly, for example I can't install 3rd party apps in Cranium ROM.

I am sorry to tell you this, but people have their own life to follow, development is done on their own will and time, we cant force someone to develop roms for us, we can ask and wait and when its done we can have it, otherwise just have patience, and everything will come on its time

Mbba67 isn't saying that you force people to develop. Mbba67 is right, you can't request people to start develop, if they want or are able to develop, they will start automatically with developing (that is what mbba67 says).
Just be patient, the developers will come.

Yes, we can assume that the developing will get faster. CWM has alway been kind of the only option of installing CM7. I can hardly wait!

Could a moderator move the question to the thread it's supposed to be on the delete this one. Easy to find what you need.
before denouncing a person by saying that person has no knowledge, you should maybe take a minute to look through some posts of that person. if you had done this, you would've known that both dark_knight and slappy are definitely knowledgeable.
but anyway, me too would like to see this moved and cleaned or even better deleted.

there was a rom in development section but the developer of the rom got bored because of the members who ask for eta a lot and accusing him of detching his own rom development then he upgraded his mobile phone and moved along and leaved a reply in the rom thread that if he was able to fix problems in the rom he wouldnt do it because of those people who just think developers are machines they dont get sick they dont get tired they dont have real life and this is completely wrong they are not bound to update their roms or make another updated but they do it because they like to do it and for the sake of the legend (HD2) to get the most out of it

In other words, Sbryan was sick of douches like you (kslakhani) who just kept asking him to fix things and make the ROM work. You really don't appear to understand XDA at all, you probably shouldn't come on here too much.
First of all I hardly asked anybody to fix things.

There's no real Sense 4 ROM for HD2 yet, but there is one for Desire. All we need is one man who would like to spend his time porting that **** to our device. Want it? Do it yourself or wait for someone else who wants it too and will do it for you.
