Now that Kindle Fire 6.3 is out in the wild, who has a good cookbook-style how-to on installing the Google Play Market on the Kindle Fire 6.3?
Getjar.com installs without any hassles and I am using my favorite apps distributed by Getjar. Now, how about Google Play Market?
Thanks in advance.
Its the same way you install the it in the other firmware but if u dont know how search the forum or use kindlefirewire.com he has a how to video just make dude your rooted

Here the apk http://www.mediafire.com/?iu3mpcbdzrwbdez
It doesn't work on my Fire with ICS, just shows blank pages.
Chrome needs to take advantage of the hardware acceleration features, which is not enable in ICS for Kindle yet.
thank you very much
I'm sad. I would love Chrome on my many non ICS Android devices.

How did you get the app to show up? I copied the apk to system/apps, but it doesn't show up on my KF 2nd gen. Play Store and Youtube work fine. Firefox crashes, so currently I have no browser...
Flash the AOSP jb ROM n u get chrome to work. It's working on mine flawlessly.

Ok so I was checking out Google Play because Zite was just released and found that on the website it said that the app was compatible with my Amazon Kindle Fire! Mind you I'm at work on my iPhone, so I thought that's weird. I pressed install and it said that the app would be sent to my Amazon Kindle Fire shortly! Of course I can't verify that it worked. My KF is at home. Can anyone verify that the google store works with their KF. I have the google framework but no root and the latest just released version 6.3 installed so that may be why. How cool if we could buy apps on Google Play!
the google store is working with the kf - i think since december last year
correct me someone if i'm wrong
It's been working all along but it is currently experiencing some major issues.
The Play store seems to work better for me then the old store. But in the last 24 hours it seems like its having some issues.
So how do you install an app from the play website that you've purchased without being rooted?
http://www.androidcentral.com/getting-google-play-store-errors-youre-not-alone probably just related to these problems

I have google play installed , I'm not rooted, but I'm able to download free books and songs with no problems. The moment I try to install an app or update an app it forcecloses. I should be able to use google play to its fullest if I can download books and music.........wth..

Need a build prop that is compatible to run order and chaos for the fire running CM9. Any help would be appreciated

Any time I had issue with getting an app to work. I'd buy it off my GSII or Amaze. Then back up the APK and push it to my Mytouch 4G Slide. You bought it, so there's nothing wroung with pushing it to another device. As long as its yours.
::HTC Doubleshot:: Virt. Inq v2.
I had to uninstall Hellfire CM7 and ReloadedROM CM9 because neither one allows me to install any of the "Kindle Fire Edition" games that i bought off amazon store.
In addition, most of the games don't show up in google play store either. My phone can't download them as it says not compatible either so I have no way to officially download the games that I bought.
I think we have to use MODACO ROM for now. It is the only usable ROM if you want to watch movies, use Play music and play the games for Kindle Fire without frustration. No CM7 or CM9 that I have tried can do any of this as well as MODACO.
If anyone can come up with a way for the games to work please let us know it would make those great ROMS worth using. I know the HWA will be solved soon with the new kernel, so maybe that would fix most trouble?
Idk I love the ics cm9 Roms just need to games to follow Me there.... that's what's holding me back

It seems they stream their videos with Flash but I guess Adobe / Google don't get along. One person from Amazon said it worked great while another person said it did not work.
But what about the books - will they work on (unrooted) the Nexus 7?
The amazon kindle app for android works just fine. Is this your question? You can also install the amazon app market on the N7 from Amazon's website.

Quick question, is Amazon Kindle app better than Google Books?
You can side load Adobe on an unrooted N7. You just have to use a browser such as Boat or Firefox.

What you're trying to do is not feasible.
I want to transfer over my apps from my apple store to the Kindle fire HD is it possible? If so, how?
Since that's not an option can I use the google play with the kindle fired HD instead?
That's not a possible task. Two different OS/platforms... different code... no way to do it. You get what you can get from amazon app store.

I'm sorry bro its not possible. Just enjoy your sweet tablet with your other half. sorry
Yes on PLAYSTORE.
Apple Sync
This is a good question. Since Apple uses a BSD Kernel and quite a bit of proprietary layers over the Kernel, it just not possible to "Sync" the applications to Android ICS (Kindle 7" HD 7.2.3).
Now if you would like to Sync Music, Movies, Podcast, etc you may purchase an application for the Kindle named DoubleTwist.
Email, Contacts, Calendar, Task Lists etc can be done through IMAP4
Ok cool, thanks

Acid_Bomb - Yes, you can use Google Play rather than Amazon App Store, if you go to this page: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2064633 you will see a Step-by-Step
tutorial on Rooting the Kindle and installing Google Play (plus a few other little goodies).

DenusAndre,
Once you root the Kindle, then install Google Play Store, the doors open wide. You will save lot's of $$ over
Amazon App Store. It is not to say the Amazon App Store has nothing to offer, it does. We have found that
overall, the Google Play Store offers more to the end user. Thank you for taking the time to post your
comments.:good:
