some users can't send/receive mms with ICS, i believe the reason is the system can not match the APN type,in general, the APN type mms will be used when send and receive mms.so, i try to copy the mms setting to default, yes ,mms can work very well.

Smb can help?
I have a problem with any MMS! I can't seem to send or receive! Settings are as indicated by everyone but though it connects to WAP (UK O2 network) ok and WAP-able, MMS is no-go. Think you could write a few notes on what your settings are? I have a feeling it's the configuration of the MMS server, tia.
bump
i,
anyone in Malta managed to set-up the WAP and MMS settings for the GoMobile operator in Malta? I tried coping the settings my old P800 line by line, but they don't seem to work.
ok, I have managed to send an mms now.
however I still cannot receive mms. I receive a notification that I have mms, but when it tries to download it it fails.
what could be wrong between the sendging and receiving?
just as an update, everything is working now. and WITHOUT any setting changes!
MMS is sending and receiving now
next I'll be trying the WAP just for kicks.
How did you manage?
Hi how did you manage to configure the mms settings for go mobile malta? I managed to configure GPRS, but mms just says sending and after 3 re-tries it fails.
Having Trouble with MMS on my HTC Hero on Cricket. Voice, text, and WAP are working fine. I used Apn backup to backup apn's and changed the "production" line settings so that it matched up with Cricket settings. MMS Proxy: wap.mycricket.com User: 10digit(at)mycricket(dot)com pass: cricket port:8080. The restored the apn's. I can send picture messages to the phone itself, it appears to go out and come back in. Other can send me picture messages and I receive them fine, but when sending messages to other they never receive the picture message. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

go on howardforums.com and look up brandonharrison.
he has the mms fix.
which ROM are you running?
This should fix most people's problems with sending and receiving MMS.
There are 2 APN settings, one for Internet and one for MMS.
Copy the MMSC, MMS Proxy, and MMS Port settings from the MMS APN over to the internet APN. *DON'T DELETE ANY APN SETTINGS* No restart is required.
I'm assuming the phone has issues switching between APN's or just doesn't attempt using the second APN. Let me know if this works for you or doesn't.

You'll likely want to mention which carrier this applies to, as personally I only have one APN, MMS is in it, for "Cingular".

Do you have this steps?
yes please post the steps! i have some APN manager apps but I'm only aware of one set of APNs (i.e. one XML file). Are there others?
Can you please give more info on how to fix this. Please I've had my phone like this for like the last three months, and I really need your help. Thanks in advance.

hd2 energy rom with android 2.2, windows 6.5 t-mobile. i get the error message posted on this thread. the problem is that i dont have any apn settings. i tried adding new and saving it. nothing appears.
I am currently in Sweden, and my phone is SIM-unlocked via Sprint's unlocking utility. I am using Comviq as my service provider. Normally, I have Sprint as a provider.
To start off with, here is the application, hardware, and software versions I am using:
Android OS: 4.4.2
Build Number: KOT49H.L720VPUFNG2
Hangout Build: v2.5.81636427
APN Information from comviq's website (http://settings.tele2.com/?operator=comviq&locale=sv_se):
Name - Comviq
APN - 4G.tele2.se
Proxy - Do not set
Port - Do not set
Username - Not set
Password - Do not set
Server - Do not set
MMSC - http://mmsc.tele2.se
MMS Proxy - 130244202030
MMS port - 8080
MCC - 240
MNC - 07
Authentication - PAP
APN type - default, MMS, SUPL
The issue I am having is actually very similar to this issue from last year:
https://productforums.google.com/d/msg/hangouts/kzg-hqiDANc/8WG2j3EGWGkJ
I am completely unable to send MMS messages via the Google Hangouts application, but if I set my default messaging application to the stock messaging application, then my MMS messages go through perfectly fine. If I switch back to Hangouts, the MMS messages. The problem though that I am having, is that even if I specify an APN manually, this does not allow me to send the message either. If I try and edit any of the APN's already listed in Hangouts, and click the menu button and Save or Cancel, it deletes the APN rather than actually saving any data. If I add the APN, it doesn't actually save the APN to use. Hangouts has a list of APNs I guess embedded in their apk, but I can't do anything.
This seems specifically to be an issue with Google Hangouts, since other text messaging applications work perfectly fine with sending MMS messages.
Why doesn't Google Hangouts just follow the provided APN data installed in the Mobile Networks menu? Is there any way to work around this issue?
