Sense 4.0 keyboard. - Desire HD General

Is it possible to pull the sense 4.0 black keyboard and flash or install it in the sense 3.5 roms? Of so does someone have it for me because I like the black skin and the sense keyboard, I tried others but now sense has the swype function I love it .
Tnx in advanced.
Desire HD RUNNYDROID 5.0

why not get a third party keyboard?
I guess that a lot of those have skins to look like the ics keyboard.
For example:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=inputmethod.latin.ported&hl=en

Exchange "ics" with "sense 4" and it's still valid
I use the go keyboard which has swype functionality and skins. Maybe you should check that out.

I'm using this keyboard for a few weeks now - Love it!
Cheers
Why would you use a software keyboard? Love sliding out the hardware keyboard and writing with it
why slide to type some letters? sometimes it's fastest using the screen.
which version are you using 1.4 or 2.0 beta?

Thanks for the heads-up; very nice keyboard. Better that the Blackstone one, in my opinion.
I'm currently using SPB Keyboard 4.
This one is looking good though. Who can give me some more solid results. Any conflicts with X1 HW keyboard? What do you like about it, or don't? Opinions please!

because I hate waiting for my X1 to change from (fast) portrait mode to (omg wtf slow) landscape mode
Yeah that keyboard is quite nice, but I prefer nice and large Keypad style keys with T9 vs. a qwerty keyboard in landscape mode, so no good 4 me....
just downloaded it. so far, i'm liking it, but it lacks T9 input which would be nice. and another thing that really drags it down is that if you type really fast, it won't even register half of the key inputs, which is really bad

But the question is still valid.
I just downloaded 1.4 and so far it works nicely with the german skin, but needs a soft reset after installation.
But nevertheless maybe somebody could let us us know the differnece between 1.4 and 2.0?

Man i would love to cook this into my rom but it doesn't seem like something that can be cooked because of the install process. Maybe i'm wrong.
It looks greater than default keyboard, i will try it

I'm using 1.4 right now, but I didn't do any hardreset, everything worked out of the box after registering it.

how many out there use a Sense build without the sense launcher?

just out of curiosity to see if there's others like me. I cant live without the HTC Keyboard and Dialer.
Count me in.
I did but now I use bangster with the HTC_ime keyboard

My dream is CyanogenMod ROM with HTC Sense. I like HTC dialer, contacts and HTC Launcher. But now I'm trying Launcher Pro with Beautiful Widgets and Pure Grid Calendar and it's look also very good. Instead of HTC keyboard I'm using Swype now.
I also like this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=733682
But it doesn't work for me, for now.
I am currently developing a build at the minute. If anybody knows were I can download a sense rom I can disable sense and just have the features you request. Currently I only have the nexus one builds which I dont particulary like!

Don't forget a feature ONLY CyanogenMod has so far... a real working Audio DPS with graphic equalizer. Something Android badly misses compared to WinMO.
me too!!
I would be! but im not lol
Sense on winmo is amazing, but I dont see the big fuss about it on android. I do like the keyboard though

There is a Froyo rom for the MyTouch Slide, but it doesn't have the Sense UI, and even though I always use LauncherPro as default and not the Sense Launcher, it feels weird not having Sense UI, so I switched to SlideMEROOT5.
Even though you can use other launcher instead of the Sense Launcher.
The Sense Dialer, Music Player, onscreen-Keyboard, and the Sense Task Bar!!! Are part of the best of the Sense UI !!!

I had to go back to a Sense rom for the dialer. Cannot believe stock Froyo dialer doesn't search contacts as you dial. And the Sense mail app is better too, can actually move mail to folders. Other than that I use Launcher Pro and its widgets.

I like Sense without the Sense Launcher too All the little stuff that HTC brings like the keyboard, fm radio, the camera app is better too. I like Launcher pro with all the shortcut dock.
Like others, I like the "other" features of sense but not the launcher. I especially like that the Facebook link actually works on the sense builds. I use Zeam launcher, because I love the Quick Launch bar and the swipe functions. I am currently using mccm's new sense version and getting ready to try Sergio's new entry.
I really want the Froyo to have Sense already!!!

Hi!
One other feature, in addition to the keyboard and dialer that I cant live without is the link feature in sense contacts. I find that feature extremely useful, the way you can link Facbeook, Google, exchange and phone contacts is unique to sense. I could perfectly well live without the launcher and the sense widgets though.

HTC IME keyboard please

I really hope this is possbile. The HTC IME keyboard is absolutely indispensible to me. It in my experience has by far the best spell correction out of any keyboard I've tried. No other keyboard can I mess a word up so bad, add in a few extra letters than the word has, and it will still figure out what I'm trying to say.

The only thing I hate about the keyboard is that after putting a period to write down my email, it always puts a space after it. Errr....
If the HTC keyboard can be ported to the Galaxy S and Nexus One phones, then I'm sure it can for the Nexus S.
It'll be ported, no worries. In the mean time try Smart Keyboard Pro with HTC Skin.. very very similar. I actually prefer that to HTC_IME, but both are damn similar.
I had switched a while back to HTC_ime as well. I recently got tired of it's myriad bugs and switched back to stock and am loving it! Can't wait to see how much better the Gingerbread version will be.

i just switched to smart keyboard pro from the HTC IME and i will never go back. it's amazing, and the dev is very nice as well
Smart keyboard is great, and I would use it over stock keyboard for sure...
But I re-iterate, in my personal experience, no keyboard comes close to the spell correction offered by the HTC IME. It is VERY forgiving to typing mistakes. I mean you can completely misspell every letter of a word, add way too many letters, and it will still pick up what you're saying.
Then you gotta learn to make less mistakes!

Check the options you can turn off auto spacing after entering a period.
I personally use Smart Keyboard. I would like to use the new Gingerbread keyboard because of the multi-touch, but don't like that the keyboard TICK sound is not adjustable and it's very loud if I have my ringer/notification volume at full.
Smart Keyboard doesn't offer multi-touch, neither does HTC IME.
I will switch to Ultra Keyboard when I get the Nexus S because it is multi-touch.
Huh? AFAIK both Smart Keyboard and HTC IME have multitouch. Smart Keyboard even has an option for Multitouch AFAIK.
I'd try this kitchen, should work and you can customize it completely, check it out Great way to have nice, working HTC IMEs

smart keyboard has full multitouch, you have to enable it in the settings, though i think it's on by default.
Also depending on your phone it may not work too good, i've noticed on my nexus one the multitouch on smart keyboard has never worked good, but it works alright in apps like maps and the gallery.

I like SwiftKey. SwiftKey X is amazing, and the SwiftKey 3 beta is even better(but, since it's in beta, has its bugs).

Rotating Rosie from Flyer Sense 3.0?

I know that the Flyer has a landscape Rosie, and I also know that zFreak made a ROM a while back - FlyDom - which was a port of the Flyer ROM to our phones.
I was wondering, since many things weren't working in that ROM (aside from the fact that it 404's right now) if someone could get its hands on the ROM and post here the Rosie?
I am thinking that maybe by replacing that with the Rosie in a Sense 3.0 ROM (I am on SpeedDaemon Fantasia) we would get the landscape Rosie in Flyer.

Rosie touch in landscape is not rescaled properly. AND: It's different type of Sense, it will not work.
