KF too dead to charge. - Kindle Fire General

i accidentally let my kf die, and it wont turn back on. i have FFF and twrp 2.0 installed aswell as the latest cm9. i left my stock charger at school, so i wont be able to get it until sunday, but anybody have a suggestion as to how i can get this thing to charge? when i plug it up to my phone charger it lights up the fff screen and then it goes into boot loop. and it wont get past there and i know its completely dead so its almost as if its using the charger to turn on, and then it is trying to use the battery to boot up. but since the battery is dead it cant turn on fully causing it to "loop"?
thanks

You NEED the stock charger. Otherwise it won't charge.

That's what I figured, I usually top it off with my phone charger when I'm at work but I figured that since its actually dead it will have to be the stock one.
Thanks

Does it charge ok in WinMO or WinPho?
Have you tried a different USB cable or charger?
have you tried different battery?
Does it charge while turned off?
What exactly happens when you plug in the cable?
ok so its totally dead now. i plug it in and the orange light comes one. then it boots without me touching it. then dies. then boots then dies then boots then dies. then when its dead i unplug it and plug it back in then it repeats. its wont just charge. and what it was doing before was like when i had it pluged in it would sometimes charge. like 18 percent one minute then like 24 percent one minute. then it would be at like 6 percent an hour later after being plugged in. and no it has never done this before. on my winmo or anything. i havent run winmo for a while lol been android last 6 months. and i have been running nand for about 1 month and no problem
I had the same thing , But it suddenly started to funcion again, It started to function when I went from sd to nand, longshot but...
well i am on nand now. and have been. its just like it is not even trying to charge anything ya know
i think the female plug in the phone might be bad lol
Take out the battery and wait +/- 1 minute (or a bit more)
After this put the battery back in the HD2 and try charging it again.

Battery died, it takes forever to turn on again

Does it happen to you guys?? It happened once, now it is happening again. Although I'm charging it, it doesn't turn on. Do you think my device is defective?

In my experience with Tablet like devices (such as the nook) when you let your device get so low on power it shuts itself off it can take quite a while before it'll turn itself back on, even when using the proper cables and chargers. I imagine this has to do with the fact the software wants to make sure there's enough power in the device to stop it from immediately shutting off again.
I've also seen this in my phone where when it shuts off it won't properly turn back on until it meets a certain charging percentage (unless I'm unplugging it, powering it on after it has a little juice and plugging it back in)

i believe ur charger might be defective....happened to me once nd it was due to the charger......not giving enough power to boot up the tab...i.e tablet discharging quicker than charging...

[Q]My nexus4 can't start up

I installed the official update. After shutting down, nexus4 can't start up. Press the power button over 10 seconds, it also can't reboot. And I pressed the three buttons, it can't go to the bootloader interface. How can I get it start up again?:angel:
I had this when I did my update. It took a while of holding the power button to get it too boot again, try charging for already an hour then hold the power button for at least 1 min. Once I got mine to boot again I've not had any issues since when booting it up.

Thank you very much, but it still can't turn on.:crying::crying:
Hmm... Do you see red LED light flashing when trying to turn on your device? If not, try charging it for a little and it should boot afterwards.

yes, I saw the LED's red light, it sometimes last 7-8seconds somtimes 1 second.,:crying::crying:but what's that means. It's still doesn't work. I have no idea.
Then you may be out of luck. Take a look at this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2011328
You can try leaving the phone on AC charger overnight. Some people have reported that they managed to fix their phones that way.
Was it the official OTA update you installed? I suppose your device was not rooted then.

My phone was on USB charge once ( actually plugged into the computer not the ac to USB issue people have been having) and because it thought it was charging it carried on as normal but the battery wasn't being charged fast enough by the USB to keep it running and the phone just died, no shutting down or anything dead with a flashing red LED the reason it did this was because the os thought it was charging even though it was discharging so until the battery actually ran out of juice the phone ploughed on. I immediately unplugged the USB and switched to the AC. The red light went off and the phone was silent for at least 10 minutes. I then with all toes and fingers crossed tried to start it again and it did. The red led lit up and stayed on for about 5 seconds and then burst into life. It really depends from how long you've had this red led if its been like it for a while I'd recommend a straight 24 ac charge with no interruptions. If that doesn't work I'm out of ideas :/ good luck Blewk

i've tried all the power + volume combos...how did you get to bootloader?
If people just let their phones charge undisturbed overnight and tried the next day to boot, that number would be -80%..
I bricked my N4 by accidentally flashing a wrong bootloader - a simple error that proved fatal!

That would brick basically any phone. You don't play around with flashing the bootloader unless you're sure.
Got the red light once while doing benchmarks.. But i was able to get into bootloader mode reflash system img.And bam i was good to go..
Dang man, this same problem is happening to the LG Optimus G. There is a thread on xda for that phone and the op says to take the back cover off, disconnect the battery then reconnect it and that fixes it. Maybe worth a shot on the nexus.?? That is if you don't want to reflash the phone.

Why you want to do it the hard way that void the warranty than the easy way?

I plugged on my friend's car charger and suddenly my phone turned off and wont turn on.
When I plug on charger or USB and keep holding power, red led blinks many times, faster and faster.
My computer wont recognizes it.
Any solution?

Holy crap. It's literally IN THIS THREAD.
Leave it on your charger for several hours and see if it boots. If not, it's probably RMA time.
It's plugged for about 10 hours and nothing.
I live in Brazil, no sells here yet and it was bought on USA.

I was just mentioning other options just in case someone couldn't get into the bootloader. What if you send the phone to lg because you couldn't get into the bootloader to reflash and they can by disconnecting the battery and find out that you are unlocked and rooted when the phone boots back up, which would also void your warranty. Although I would not take the back cover off if the phone was stock, might as well send the phone back if you can't get it to boot.

I am in exactly the same situation as you. Prospects to resuscitate our bricked Nexus 4 are extremely dim!
Im wondering if what is posted Here may cause this issue?
Please, any advice will be thanked.

You seem to know very little about how chargers, batteries and charging circuitry works. To put your mind at ease, a USB 2.0 port is rated at 5V DC, 500mA. That will charge a Nexus 4, albeit slowly. Your 0.7A charger isn't going to fry anything, as there are multiple safeties built in, unless something is SEVERELY wrong with it, meaning faulty construction.

So you are telling me that, unless there is any issue with the charger (faulty construction) there is no reason to worry about that it will lead to this "Red light of death" or any other issue (lowering battery lifetime for example)?
This is totally off topic but, Do you (personally) think it's true what people say that charging a cellphone with a lower output charger increases its battery service?
Quick question:
Does this red light issue appear when battery is drain to 0% (among other factors)

There is no reason to worry unless the charger or your phone is faulty, in other words, hardware failure on either side. Unfortunately there would be no easy to foresee that.
The charging circuitry will only use what it needs to do it's job. As long as the voltage is within range and the current is not too LOW, you're OK. The N4 is rated at 900 mA to perform a standard charge. It will accept as low as approx. 500 mA to charge in USB mode. That idea is rubbish.

Batteries (2) will not charge??

So I've got a dx I'm getting set up for my wife...
Originally installed paranoid android but was having problems sometimes getting past a bootloop and did not realize that it won't charge during recovery,,,, it also would not charge while off it kept trying to reboot which would then loop....
So i searched and read about cutting an old cable and rigging it so it would work with dead battery..
That worked and seemed to be going fine, wound up doing an sbf and starting over, rooted again ,,, all was good,, (or so i thought) took off the cable rig,,,
and now if i try to charge it it shows a green light and icon animates like it's charging,,, but it's really not. It died again...
Thought maybe just the battery was old and gave up the ghost...
So i ordered another BH5X,, got it in and same thing happens with it,,, and if i try to charge from a powered off state it will try and boot up fully but then quickly display a large battery with a question mark and then reboot, starting the cycle over again...
What gives??? Did I screw something up internally, with the cable hack???

Had the same problem here. It seemed like charging but then fell out almost directly. Like he's using too much power while charging (even when power is off). After an extremely long charging he finally gave up 4% .. But went dead again after like 15 minutes......
Somebody any idea? Lot a thanks if you have any!..
if you did something like [Howto] Fix "Battery Low - Cannot program
you likely fried your phone and there is no fix
but phone not charging can be one of several problems
bad software: fix with sbf
bad charger: buy new charger
bad usb charging port: no fix at least not easy anyways Replacement Micro USB Charging Port
bad battery: buy new battery
also may want to buy a Battery Charger for Motorola Droid X (MB810)
or a TBH’s Motorola Programming Cable Adapter
