What do you mean by fail. Let's say you try to run titanium backup, what happens then?

Anyone else having problems with titanium backup, i just updated it to the newest version, and now its telling me im not rooted no more? but the phone is rooted.
Are you running a custom Kernel? I just had this same issue yesterday. Let us know if you get it working and if you're able to restore backups. I got it working, but could not restore backups. I keep getting a parsing error.

Running superuser.apk?
Can you still get root from a terminal session (su)?
Are you using the latest busybox?
Have you tried letting it install its own app-only busybox?
All my problems I've had with TiB have been with superuser.apk and busybox.
Might not be permanent root then, check other root apps like rom manager or something. Parse error is prob the version of busybox you have, clic problems in tb, then download busybox from within app.
On stock rom/flash a rooted kernel, search the dev section and check again, the joeykrim root is janky

My Razr M was rooted and I was able to load Safestrap so I could flash a custom ROM. All went well until I went to Titanium with Root and it complained about me not being rooted. I cant open Superuser, I aslo ran the ROOT CHECKER app and It said I wasnt rooted. Now am I stick with this rom? I tried to re-root but I cant get the bug report / vibration to happen. Any ideas>?
By can't open superuser do you mean it fcs? If so try wiping data on the superuser app.

I'm running DHacker's version of CyanogenMod 10.2 on my Droid RazrM, and I'm having trouble doing tasks as root. I had the phone successfully rooted and working before I installed the ROM, but now I can't update my SU binary. SuperUser fails at "Gaining Root Access" and SuperSU reports that no SU Binary is installed. I've tried flashing the update as recommended but it doesn't appear to do anything. Am I using the wrong zip (UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.43.zip, MD5: 2acd41db58d782ca0d386d805bd29f5d)?

Hey guys, I m new in xda. Well I'm in a bit of trouble. think u guys can help me.
I wanted to replace my superuser app with superSU v1.45. I installed superSU and then uninstalled the superuser app from the onscreen option of superSU. And after that everytime I try to open superSU ,it says it needs to update the binary, then I need to choose a option between normal and cwm method. When I choose normal it keeps saying "Installation aborted." My superuser app is uninstalled and I lost my root.
So If there is any process of recovering my root again without flashing the stock rom again by odin, please suggest me.

There are two ways - if your phone is already rooted but you just have a problem with the app then the best superuser app for our phone is
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.noshufou.android.su
once installed swipe to the right and then press update binary
if it says the binary is not detected you have to root your phone again
the best way to do this is as follows (note this will prob only work on stock based roms and not cm7 due to build prop)
download attachment
go into cwm
mount system
flash zip
select superuser by chainsdd
restart
once restarted use link2sd (playstore) to uninstall the superuser app
download the latest version of the app from the link at start of this post and update the binary as iv already said
thank you markassmith . I will try & tell you if it works.... (t:thumbup:humbup)

Hi All,
Need some advise on how to correct this.
I have a N9005 that was brought in KSA .
Rooted it using Chainfire CF-Auto-Root-hlte-hltexx-smn9005 using Odin.
Root was successful and was working fine . Installed Magisk Manager successfully .
All of sudden SU binary update popped up which is not working .
Tried to flash SU V2.79 manually from TWRP which is of no help , The issue still exists.
Tried to uninstall SU and unroot it with no luck. Tried to re-root using chainfire autoroot and it worked again but the binary update wont complete.
Please advise what am i missing... Do i need to uninstall Magisk before we flash SU or do we have any other conflicts that im failing to see.
Usual reply to SU.
Remove and reinstall from Play Store .Do not use TWRP to update binary.
Or flash the supersu zip found by searching .
