You can't.
The history of everything you download stays on their system permanently.

I tried.. its still the same. i tried it with and without an account but its still there in the downloads...
is there any expert out there can help me out..

Those apps listed in the downloads section are apps you've already purchased. They will appear there always. It doesn't mean they are installed on your device. You're logged into your Samsung account.
If you want to hand it back as new, then do a factory reset, make sure you include to format sd storage, and when it reboots displaying the Android guy and asks for google account, leave it, don't sign in or setup. Done.

This could be the solution to your problem, factory reset doesn't wipe the internal or external sd

I don't have a pc but someone posted else where this statement:
Connected to KIES...logged in...choose my download. Right click on the apps and chose delete...done.
Hopefully this might help, unfortunately Kies for mac does not support the app portion.

Choose on my downloads? You understand what im trying to remove?
Im trying to remove the apps in samsung apps downloads list. But i have alraedy uninstall those apps.now what i want is to remove the apps in samsung apps downloads list.

yes, you downloaded apps at one point and even though you have wiped the phone, the downloads still show in the samsung apps downloads. I was just suggesting what someone else wrote to the exact same problem. I admitted I had no way of verifying it, so I was only trying to help as it seemed pretty easy to connect your phone to a pc to see if it actually removed it from your account thus removing it from the downloads section on your phone.

But there's no donwloads in kies, i tried it.. so how?

Selling phone, how to setup for new user?

Is there anyway to setup a phone for a new user without logging into the market as yourself? Im actually giving my phone away to a smartphone illiterate relative, but I dont want to ask for their gmail login info to enable downloading from the market.
It seems if I login as myself, then the user cannot be removed. Anyway around this, anyother way to install apps without using the market?

Figured it out. For those with a similar Q in the future: use Root Explorer and go to /data/system/ find accounts.db and rename it to accounts.db.bak

So then what happens? The other person just signs into the phone with their Google account and all is set up?
Wipe your phone
Why not just wipe your phone? And yea if you rename that with a .bak at the end the other user should be able to just create one. Only thing, renaming that file to .bak does is make it to where the system doesn't see it and it also keeps a copy on phone incase you want to revert back to it. If your selling the phone, dont rename it, delete that file if you ask me
I agree with sinister, just wipe it and give it to them, show them how to log in and call it good
We're comin from a pure power source.

Noob mistake. desperate for help

Ok, so I installed Droidsail to try and move my large games to SD card on my S4 to free up some space.
It didnt work, so I uninstalled it. before I uninstalled it I had changed a setting to 'install new apps on SD card'
Now I'm getting an error: Insufficient Storage Available whenever I try to update or install an app.
This includes trying to re-install Droidsail to fix the setting.
I also tried to install Rom Toolbox, and I successfully installed that!
But superuser is out of date so I cant use it to change the setting
Cant update superuser... see error above.
So does anyone know a way to install an app completely manually? Not involving clicking 'install' at all? or another fix?
Can you flash to stock?

Go to the development section and use the search function to find the stock factory ROM and directions to install it. I also suggest you take a lot more time to learn about Android (and the S4 in general) before you do anything else. Good luck.

I could be an idiot, but it appears that there is no stock rom yet for AT&T s4?

8 minutes between my suggestion of going to the development section and searching you replying you couldn't find it isn't a very good attempt.
However, you need to restore your phone to the original factory firmware that is supplied by Samsung for the AT&T S4 (i337). There most definitely is a complete thread about this in the Development section. Take a little time and you might find it. I'm not trying to be mean, but if you are not willing to take a little time to look for information and learn about your phone you are only going to screw it up worse.
I doubt you are an idiot (as you stated you might be), I just think you need to learn a little about how these phones work before you end up with a really expensive brick. Good luck.
Try Kies (just as bad an app as iTunes lol)

I need help with downloads on my galaxy note 3

Ok, I'd like to start off by apologizing for a stupid post, but i need answers and I think this can help.
So let me explain my problem. I recently tried to download 3 'big' apps from the playstore not realizing I had only about 400 mb left of storage; obviously after I finished the downloads it showed a warning stating that I had insufficient space. I cleared up some space but even after having 4 gb of space, I couldn't download even one though they were only about 1 gb each. I figured that I needed more space so I cleared even more to have 19 gb of space, but the when I tried again, the same error showed up. Out of options, I decided to reset my phone after backing it up, but now even with all this space, the apps that I tried to download while I had no space still show the same error.
Hoping for quick replies or to talk with people who experienced similar problems. Again sorry for the stupid post.

Yes, i have tried both, yet nothing seems to work. I also recieve random errors when downloading some apps.
Did you mean you have factory reset your phone? Or reboot?
In any case you can try to Clear Cache or Clear Data for your Google Play app.
If this does not help, there might be a problem with your Google account? Try to delete unneeded apps from 'My apps' list. Or try to add another account to your phone? Then download again.
Are you using a MicroSD? If the answer is yes, How much space is left on that?
I have factory rested my phone; No, I'm not using an SD c
card

Foreground apps crash with no errors

Hello
I have this problem. whenever I open play store and apply updates or install new apps, the play store crashes and the updates are interrupted until I re-open it and resume the update manually. This doesn't seem to happen when the updates are done in the background automatically without opening the store first. I have already tried uninstalling, deleting cache and data, reboot etc. but the problem persists.
I have the Samsung Galaxy note 3 SM-N9005 LTE version with rooted kitkat 4.4.2

I see that very few people have this very annoying issue
I just don't want to resort to factory reset. I mean I know it will probably fix it but I just don't feel like setting my phone up again from the start which is time consuming, besides, what would be the purpose of this wonderful community if all problems were solved by wiping up one's phone.
I was wondering if the cause could be some poor memory management or bad cleaning/anti-virus apps interfering with the memory management I mean I am a complete noob in terms of android management but I assume when there are multiple apps being downloaded/updated at the same time it must consume a great deal of resources but for an app to crash without even the popup message that says "....has stopped" I have never seen before

Maybe you try to get a appstore.apk, delete your's wipe Cache and then install the apk.
I would also recommend data wipe though cause with backup (I use titanium) it'll be less time consuming than everything else. Just backup user data and you won't have to set it up again. The thing is it's not guaranteed that the problem lies within playstore and since we don't have your phone in our hands it is nearly impossible to point you to the exact fix.

well... speaking of backup I also use titanium and nandroid, thank god for that because earlier I tried something stupid (suggested here on XDA though) I cleared the app store cache and data which is fine because I did it before with no problem but then I cleared the google services framework data/cache, I wish I hadn't because it literally messed everything up. I was unable to connect at all to the store even though I had a good network connection. thank god it worked again after I restored the app/data
I can live with that issue. it's not such a hassle since I usually check the play store for updates every day at least. but I may try your first suggestion though. thanks 4aces

As you wish b careful though. I think (definitely not 100% sure) you have to put the apk file in device/system/apk with es file Explorer or root Explorer and than put the permission to rw rr.
That's why I recommend full wipe.

thanks for the link. maybe I could try to update it as my version is 4.6.17 which is older than 4.8.19 and see if there is a change. One thing I don't understand is that one can only disable it and not uninstall it so does that mean it's a system app even though it's not in the /system/app folder? should I convert it to user app with titanium prior to update?

One more suggestion. Try to open application manager in settings and select all. Look for download manager and clear the cache then reboot.
If it doesn't help wait for other replies or wipe data will have to do the work.

I tried that but didn't help. then I tried to update and move to system, made it even worse as play store crashed as soon as I hit the update button. Reinstalling the app wouldn't help so I had to restore a nandroid backup. I'm giving up now but won't waste time doing a wipe data because it's not a real issue since I'm able to update anyway by hitting the button and close play store right after. All my apps still update in the background anyway

I haven't a clue as to what would've broken it, but I'd start by un-freezing anything that's not blatantly a bloat or otherwise undesirable app.
FYI - iirc deleting bloat does nothing to increase internal storage, that's a hard partition, so I always freeze.

are you sure about that? just strange how my storage went up quite a bit after deleting bloat.. if you freeze it or uninstall it i can see it this way but deleting all together should clear up some space.. thats pretty much why root is needed so you can mess with the root file system.. if it didnt clear up space thered be no need to get rid of bloat
