Android on HTC HD2

I am really getting tired of WM 6.5 and the in persistence / buggy experience... Just wanted to know if anyone is working on a port of android 1.6 or 2.0? And is it even possible to port given that it uses 800x480 and not 854x480 like the droid?
I would also be happy to try other non-android alternatives, if any exist? (and how about handling the danish dictionary or symbols(æøå) with alternative roms?)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=578575
What are you finding so buggy? What what on earth is an "in persistence experience"? :s
Its called the HTC Passion.. basically..
and it absolutely is going to be released....I have that first hand from my contact at Google who has actually handled the device.
http://blogs.zdnet.com/gadgetreviews/?p=9541
Since all these unaware journalists have found a new hobby in bashing WinMo, everyone seems to get the "I am done with this buggy WinMo experience" Virus =
I so happy with 6.5 and my TG01 together with the 3.5.1 SPB Mobile shell it is a dream to work with it. Ok it is still no unbox- and just begin- experience, just still have to mod a bit but after a while its just great.
Iphone OS is nothing for me, an OS you need to jailbreak and fear to receive a worm like the one thats sneaking around the web the last days...
Although I don't like this ignorant world domination company.

Indeed. To stop these homicidal tendencies brewing in me when I read all this "oh if it only were an Android device" stuff, I can only wish they get their A+Snapdragon whatever sooner, so that they go to some other forums/threads to bug people there, but that time for real reasons - when they realize that trivial things like watching a movie can be a challenge.
I really like the HTC HD2 and it is the best phone hardware I have ever had between my fingers (both spec and design wise imo)
I too was kinda annoyed with all the reviews *****ing about 6.5... But after using the phone since release I can honerstly tell that it has some major flaws that my Hero didn't have - mainly because it runs WinMo 6.5 and not android.
Here is some of the reasons I wanna change to android:
- I have major problems sending and recieving messages (think HTC is working on this..)
- I have wait times when I want to write an sms - up to a minute (also a known universal problem with too many sms'es in your inbox)
- The "dictionary AI" is very, very bad compared to my HTC Hero
- Volume control is very buggy
- No good flash support like on my old Hero
- No good google- calender, email or youtube integration like on Hero
- No Android market with innovative apps like wikitude and ebuddy(facebook chat and good msn app + other im in one)
- no hardkeys for multitasking
I also want to mention that I need to softreset my HD2 once or twice a day simply because some functions (bluetooth, ui, com. manager, etc..) messes up the phone to either freeze, become slow or leave some functions not working... I have never had these problems with my Hero.
It might sound like I hate 6.5, but it has some advantages like leaving more advanced options to fittle around with, remote desktop, wifi-router and stuff like that, so ofc it comes with a price to put android on the HD2 =)

Google services integration is the only thing in your list that's relevant, plus there's no Android market, which is a dubious loss. Everything else is either design decisions or bugs introduced by HTC and have nothing to do with WM. How in the world would Android add hardware keys for multitasking to HD2? I can't say I always resist following hypes successfully, but this is just ridiculous.

Just throw your HD2 into the trashbin (or eBay ) and wait for HTC Dragon.
BTW: Don't you think youl could have more problems with a system that is constantly changing than with a system that is finished?
I made the expirience, that Linux-based systems can be a *****y thing too. Functions that work with one release don't work when you upgrade. I would (and I do) stick to WM because of that.
HTC is definitely working on the SMS problem... they've asked me to install logging software on my phone to help them identify the cause
As for the dragon, im afriad to say the instant the dragon is released my HD2 is going on ebay, the only reason i wanted it was because of the screen, and if there is an alternative, im getting it!

Yeah, I said that with the HTC Hero, which was a great device but Android is far from brilliant yet. Hopefully 2.0 will make things a lot better but don't you think most Android phones are just plain awful looks wise... Heres the Dragon v HD2
http://www.slashgear.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/htc_hd2_htc_dragon-540x388.jpg
Looks, ill stick with HD2. Speed, i'd go with Dragon, but overall usability, i'll stick with the HD2.
People say the HD2 keyboard is poo, but so was the Hero's until the software update. Android is great, but its just too buggy at the minute and the fact a program can run in the background without you knowing and drain the battery in about 20 minutes is rubbish!
As the hardware is the same, I'm quite confident that when the Dragon is out, you'll see that port over to the HD2.
I'm thinking about Android .. task on background can ruin WM device too.
But does Android have good ebook reader ? Comic book reader ? AVI video player ? Good image viewer ? Control over data connection ? I'm afraid of these things ..

Galaxy S + Android - The missing features

Hello everyone,
I just moved from a Samsung Omnia II (WinMo 6.5) to the Galaxy S (Android).
Well, I'm really in love with this device. Android reminds me the good old Palm days but on steroids . I believe it took me too long to move away from Windows Mobile.
But, as any OS newbie I'm missing some features. Instead of writing them down I thought it would be better to post them here. This way I might get some help but I'll also update my solutions so other freshmen will have a reference.
Here it goes:
1) Usb webcam - (something like WebCamera Plus from WM)*
* it seems hard to find usb apps for Android. Everything is either web or wifi based.
[PARTIALLY SOLVED] - Using Placaware USB Webcam . Video is working on several PC apps (e.g. Skype) but no audio. And the development is "frozen".
2) Driver Free Bluetooth presenter - I've found many on the market but they all rely on driver installation. I can't understand since windows has a BT protocol for that by default.
3) Pdf Printer - (something like FluidPDF VPrint for WM)
4) Good/Fast Encrypt Tool - like FreeOTFE4PDA on WM or TrueCrypt in Windows
[SOLVED] - Or at least partially solved using GP Pro (thanks to Android Market)
5) HP12C Emulator - can only find HP48.
6) Fax send/receive solution - like KSE Software Truefax Phone Edition in WM (believe me, some people still send/receive faxes
7) Metro Maps - like MetrO for WM
[SOLVED] - Using aMetro (thanks to spyrale at post #7)
8) USB auto file sync solution - like MobSync in WM
9) IE Favorites syncing - used to sync the WM and PC directories using MobSync
10) USB Device controller - like MyMobiler for WM. Again I can only find wifi solutions.
11) Top Explorer solution - like Resco Explorer in WM. I've been using Astro and Root Explorer but was hoping for a one single app that does the full job.
12) Skype type solution - what going on with these guys? Are they out of their minds thinking that people will buy an specific device just because it has skype on it? I've got the Skype beta for Android but I can't get a dial pad on it????
[SOLVED] - Using Nimbuzz (thanks to Kalikot at post #2)
13) Full Backup Solution - like Spb Backup in WM -Perhaps Titanium Backup does the job but I haven't figured ou how to use it (still learning)
14) Good Travel Management App - like Spb Traveler - I know I know... search in the Market - I have done it but the search function in the Market is kinda poor don't you agree?
15) Palm Emulator - like StyleTap on WM - Am I asking too much?
Themes and Customization - I've been trying to have a full black solution. I've been using LauncherPro + Folder Organizer and it's 90% done. I'll post some screen caps in the next days.
16) The only missing feature is a black notification area.
[SOLVED] Of course the solutiong was right here at xda (thanks to MacaronyMax.)
Edited 11/Oct
17) Video Editor - can't believe it doesn't come out of the box (maybe on Android 3.0 )
18) Better Search - the search function in Android doesn't lookup on all contact fields. Sometimes I want to search by a company name (like my car's dealer) and it won't find. WM had the same problem and it was slow. With Android the search is fast but only on name fields. That's a feature I miss since the good old Palm days.
[SOLVED] Using Power Search (thanks to Android Market)
Well, I'll keep this post up to date. Or will try my best since I've got a 9 months cutie at home
I dont know about the others but the best Skype solution atm is Nimbuzz which also has its own VOIP service. It has a delay during calls but there arent any other better options other than the complicated SIP routing.
Titanium Backup does its job even if you move from other custom roms or other firmware. Its wonderful and its worth the price for the additional batch backup/restore options
Hi... I moved from a Samsung Omnia i910 withWM 6.1pro.
The BIGGEST thing I miss from wm over android 2.1 eclair (I have not flashed any unofficial 2.2 roms) is something as simple as installing apps to the external sd card.
I know some apps on wm 6.1 were forced to install directly to the phone memory but with MOST apps you had the option to place on the external card to save ROM space.
It suprises me that such a sophisticated device as the SGS and such a powerful OS such is Android did not come out of the box this way.

Blame google and android pre2.1 , Froyo is said to be able to install to SD but frankly I've yet had need. Also what do you expect? Winmo has been out for what, 10 years or more? Android has only really started to take hold in last 3 years.
Post #1 Edited - two missing features solved and two more added.
unless there are others come from the sam Winmo background, else you need to provide the explanation of each WinMo apps
for metro maps have you tried aMetro?
for backup i use myBackupPro, simpler than titanium backup..
Boy I'm really enjoying Android. It's fast and clean like the good old Palm and still has all the capabilities of Windows Mobile.
I've been a handheld user since the very first Palm Professional and so far I've had only three killing devices:
1) Palm Professional - the good old one (still at home as a remote control hehe)
2) Palm Treo - I still miss the fun with that keyboard.
3) Samsung Galaxy "S" - loving it all the way. Android, great screen, swype etc etc....
One more Solved. USB Webcam (check post #1).

My Review WP7 on HD2

Hello.
At first, i'm german so i'm sorry for my english.
And i realy want to thank all dev's for this great work and im realy happy that i can use WP7 on my HD2 now.
So what do i have?
-WP7 Installed with activated Marketplace
-An HD2 which thinks it is an HD7
-HTC Apps Installed via Marketplace
-Windows 7 64bit that was registry hacked for sd card supoort wp7
What did i do first?
Where are my Conntacts?
Ah i see. Facebook very fast sync but no nummbers and i want a way to sync outlook.
So google and found this:
http://smart-max.de/aktuell/synchro...und-kalender-mit-einem-windows-phone-7-gerat/
Used Google Mail to Sync.
Some Conntacts now dubble? ah i see. Connect them.
Perfect.
GPS?
Mhh there is this Bing Map. Is this GPS? I dont see a signal..
Route planing? Ok but not realy a navigation software.
Hope for TomTom or something.
compas?
nope. its gone. nowhere to find.
watch movies?
Wargs. Mp4 sucks and the sync is rely bad ass.
I didt find alternative player yet.
Music?
great! best music player ive ever seen on mobile.
Camera
Works but..... i dont know. is it cut on the edges?
i miss wide screen mode.
then i discovered that the german mode hide some funktions in the camera like 720p movie etc. but still this is not the expirience like on wp6.5 . the touch to focus funktion is gone either.
game performance?
need for speed is not perfectly smooth and the music has to be turned of cause it suck and laggs.
assasic creed. not realy multitouch. everitime i jumped i had to lift the dpad finger or else it wont response anymore.
overall
the experience is that great that i will stay on wp7 for now.
i like to see everything at once and i like the look.
performance is great and better than everything else even better than the original rom.
i hope there will be good apss in future.
i miss my navigation software.
i dont like that everything is so hidden. you dont realy see you batterylife with a percent nummber or you dont realy see what data is send even you dont see your sd card and no files or folders. you dont see your gps or youre other sence funktions. these are thinks i hate on apple so why its now on microsoft?
on wp6.5 you have had the feeling that you can see whats going on.
mircosoft kiled my own insatllation of htc hub so i have to download the original which seems to be ok for me.
fresh air on my hds. i realy love it now.
i like to see a therad here for apps that work good on hd2 with wp7.
also i like to read about navigation so i will open a thread.
Apps review on HD2 with WP7
Need for Speed
Music stucks.
Grafic performance is ok.
Graviti control works good.
Assasin Creed
Sucks. No Multitouch.
Once you jumped you had to lift your thumbs or it wont responde anymore.
Grafics are ok.
HTC apps from Marketplace
All great but Led Torch just use one LED.
Go on
I agree, the GPS is somewhat lackluster.....(hopefully Google Maps coming soon to WM7?)
Disappointed there is no compass
Camera was better on 6.5
Overall I like WM7, and I like it enough to keep it on my HD2. The speed is incredible, it run rings around 6.5 and earlier WM OS, crystal clear graphics, and I love the text, and email clients, Internet Explorer is SO FAST.
I have a TP2 and a Touch HD so 6.5 will not be missed personally.

[Q] HD2, N900, Desire Z or 7 Pro?

Hey to all,
I now have a great choise - choosing the mobile phone with fits best for me. But the problem is; I dont know with one it is.
I was able to test all these Phones for now;
-HTC HD2 (owning now)
-Nokia N900 (owning now)
-Desire Z (may sell HD2 / N900 and buy one)
-HTC 7 Pro (same as Desire Z)
But I dont know with Device fits best to me, so I would be happy to get help from you.
I really looooooooooove the N900 because of its abilities of chatting via Facebook, ICQ, MSN, ... Also I like 48 Gigs of Storage and the Look&Feel of Maemo. But thats all. I hate that there are no Apps like Shazam or Soundhood, Pzizz and so on, no Social Network clients (dont like Sociality), no Games (installed Sims 3, PS1 games are tooo CPU intensive) and its sometimes very slow, no HD recording and slowly but sure I do no longer like the UI itself.
The HD2 has a f**cking great screen, but FB Chat / other Chat-Apps are sucking (IMHO, there are always get closed after few mins of inactivity) and Android is not completely "adult" on HD2 now. Okay, I can install Win7 but why? Games, thats only Point And Windows Mobile? naah not a choise for me...
The Desire Z also uses Android, but I think its verry laggy on Desire Z. All in All, Android is some kind of laggy feel (at least the Sense, and when I have an android Phone, it MUST have Sense). And again the missing chat Programs are a big "Maybe-No-Go" here... Also the HW Keyboard sucks like hell. Feels like im Typing on Gum
The HTC 7 uses Windows Phone - with says nearly all. I love playing Games on it, but thats nearly all. Okay, I also love the HW Keyboard (like I do on my N900), but this closed Source-No-Messenger-no real Multitasking Thing (and some more things) is a no go for me...
So, please, I REALLY could need your help. If you have any questions or If i Should clarify something just tell me here or PM me
Thanks!!!
And sorry if there are any mistakes, I am from germany
Robin
The Mango release of WP7 allows for multitasking and for Facebook chat. I'm not sure if you like the multitasking, but it seems to work well enough.
To use Facebook Chat on WP7, go to messaging and swipe left to "online".
Looks like there's an opening for a good QWERTYphone then. In the UK there aren't many good ones, specially not on contract. The Desire Z is not sold on contract in the UK due to reliability issues. I am interested in the Dell Venue Pro (Android edition) but in the UK only the Winmo7 version seems to be prevalent. If someone hacks the W7 version of the phone to run a clean android rom then I'd get one in an instant as they are frequently discounted due to their age.
Since the N900 doesn't have the rich android ecosystem going on I can't recommend it despite me liking it very much. If you weren't bothered about apps it would be perfect. My go-to phones for chat are the Nokia candybars like the E71/E72/E5/E6 etc but Nokia are currently attempting to write them out of history due to their entire software division being monkeys.
The HTC HD2 will probably be much better if you find a rom/radio rom with better connection stability. For what it's worth I have one, and when I installed NexusHD2-Gingerbread V2.8 rom things got much better than more recent ones. Your mileage WILL vary, it just requires a lot of reading and experimentation.
I believe you should wait, the pendulum seems to be swinging back to QWERTY slider phones with 4" screens so your choice will be increased early next year - a few good options should be available.

yeah I know but MS is sooo stupid - every time the device goes to StandBy WLAN turns off... -.- (And thats not the only thing with annoys me on Windows Phone 7 "Facebook chat" and "Multitasking" )

First; Thanks
After reflashing the Radio everything works fine now... Happy with that
Yeah but the E6 for example uses Symbian With I think is even worse then Maemo is...
I would immediatly stay with the HD2 if there would be 2 Things - HW Keyboard (okay, not that bad) and a Telepathy Integration for it... Like N900 - it has so reeeally great Integration of Skype and ICQ without any additional Apps... The HTC integrated "FBChat" App - horrible...
"Early next year" - My birthday is on Janurary 12th Its a bit really "early" but I can say that I would like to have some money for a new mobile phone (ouuh my mum will kill me - "WHAAAT? Another new mobile?" ;D )
Mhhhm I am just comparing N900 vs HD2 (Android) now... Both are next to me and I am comparing some Functions...
Will post some of my "result" here (I am damn tired but dont want to go sleeping already).
"HD2" means HTC HD2 with Android WITH HTC SENSE installed. "Android" means the Same!
Lets start;
Boot - doesnt matter... Both okay, I think (havent tested it though)
N900 needs longer to boot. But I can boot (natively) Ubuntu, some kind of Android and Maemo... All together.
HD2 can take Android, WM 6.5, WM7 and Ubuntu (emulated)... Okay, "native" Ubuntu better then emulated one. But emulated one better (in case of functions) then native... Damn I think HD2 wins here.
User Interface;
N900 UI is very polished and clean, everything works fast, but it looks a bit old if compared to Sense 3.5, Also its resistive Touchscreen just make some "old school feel" (but is BEST in winter while using gloves or while its raining). Want to start an App? Click, click and after max 3 Secs - App starting... After max of 6 secs App loaded and ready to use. great!
HD2 UI is reeally Eyecandy to me. I love the LockScreen with all these big Icons, the colors and Sounds. I love the Widgets of favourite Contacts. While I am writing about widgets - N900 is better choise there. You can "widgetise" everything on 1 of your 4-12 Homescreens. Contacts, Favourites of Browser, Programs, Settings, real "Widgets",... With HD2 you can do Groups of Contacts, Messages, Mail, Music, Weather, Calendar and more..But everything looks more nice and more "stylish" then on N900. N900 again everything is really intuitive. The User Experience is incredibly great and intuitive, with Android I sometimes need to think "uuhm, wheres that Setting now?" - NEVER done on N900.
Browser: I think, N900 browser has been beaten. Flash on N900? Lame... YouTube on N900? Hangs and I nearly always need to FC the Browser... Really pity. Pages need long to load (if compared to HD2), but when they are loaded they look as on the Desktop (but no Text Reflow DAMN). FireFox for Maemo is no longer continued (FF for Android is) and so we will never see great new functions on our N900s. Android though have much more "potential". Firefox is still developed and supported, and other browsers may follow. Okay, not Chrome and Opera I think, but the integrated browser is fast, reliable and displays everything how I want it .
Apps: My Must-have-Apps for a Mobile Phone are:
-Good Facebook Support (Pictures, Status, All Contacts, Chat)
-Calendar (multiple Reminders I dont overlook or forget, multiple Calendars)
-Games (okay, I only want Angry Birds, Doodle Jump, Fruit ninja)
-Good Email App
-TeamViewer
Facebook Support;
N900 fails here (some kind of). N900 syncs your Contacts, syncs your pictures, Birthdays, Emails and "Homepages" (WHY?!) of your FB contacts. okay. And Facebook chat is best ever! Greatly integrated and nothing I can say against it. Never was unreliable (it more was the opposite - I am at the PC and EVERY Message my N900 beeps but sadly it doesnt sync outgoing Messages ) But where are Status Updates? Regular Updates? Posting possibilities? okay, Sociality is good but really slow, sluggish and buggy. I cant post any location where I am as example.
Calendar
Both the same... GREAT!
N900 Calendar - its more easy to miss a Appointment, but because of the great Home Widget and always if I hear the Calendar tone I immediatly STOP everything I do and do the thing whats on N900 display (some kind of hypnotic) it WORKED everytime and I never missed an appointment. But no Google Integration. Whenenver my N900 will be lost - my Appointments are, too. And last time I tried to use Emering, I screwed up everything.
The HD2 Calendar is perfectly synced with Google, looks really great, and if I want to it reminds me 20 Times! so also there I will NEVER miss a Appointment, When I see the great Animation of Lockscreen from HTC Sense when I have a apoointment I immediatly fall in Love with HD2 again...
Games: N900 fails again. A really bad Doodle Jump CLONE, no Fruit Ninja, bad Sims 3 (only play it on Charger) and Angry birds is okay. Also I think graphics arent the best
HD2; okay, Games arent that much / great here also, but my favourites are all there so - won this round!
Email
N900 wins here. Best Email App I have ever seen. Formatting, Pictures in Email (HTML Email), Attachments, ... some FCs ( -.- )... But all in all its best ever! And easier to write with the integrated Hardware Keyboard!
HD2 Also a great Mail App, but kinda not often using it for writing (no HW keyboard).
TeamViewer - essential for me, missing on N900, available for HD2 - HD2 wins!
Okay, App comparison finished. well, not completely. The N900 has some more cool Apps like automatic Profile switching (Helpful at school), Debian via chroot (OpenOffice, GIMP (!!) ), a TV-Out (not an app but great anyway), Battery and Speed Patches, FreOffice, ...
HD2 has Apps like Google Voice Command (GREAT for writing SMS), pzizz, Facebook, Instant Heart Rate, Shazam, SoundHood, SMS Backup (to Google) and much more... Thats one of my MAIN ASPECTs why I am so confused... I would just miss this apps on N900... -.-
-------- Okay, that was it for now, more tomorrow (when I have time --------
If you read all until here - THANKS! Would LOVE to hear your opinion! And tomorrow I will correct any mistakes I have done!
I think you should install WP7 Mango on your HD2. The software keyboard is just awesome in WP7. Facebook with chat, multiple calendars and email with overview support.
In relation to;
-turning off WiFi in StandBy, not changeable
-not good for Facebook chat
-not very costumizable
-will be slow on my Class4 Card (right?)
-not able to write proper Word Documents (Images for example WTF is it not possible to insert IMAGES into a Word Document from Office?
-to be continued as soon as I flashed and tested it (beginning now)

Advice wanted

Hi All,
I've just been given an Omnia 7 and I'm not sure what to do with it.
I have an HTC Wildfire (Unlocked running CM) and my initial thoughts were to put CM on the Omnia, after a bit of research I found this wasn't possible.
So do I migrate from Android to Wm7 on the Omnia (and how would I copy my contacts etc) and is it worth it?
I don't expect an answer to: is Android better than WM7 (nor is this the place for it) but has anyone else came from Android to WM7? Anyone prefer the Omnia over the Wildfire etc? Are there like for like apps between Android and WM7? Things like Task killer, utils, games etc
If I do use the Omnia is it worth upgrading (as per the great guides on here) and what version should I upgrade to?
I also notice that the links to the Samsung USB Driver/Flash utilities don't work any more, does anyone have a copy of they available to dl?
Appreciate I'm asking a lot here, any advise would be greatly received.

Just to point out that it's not AMOLED Plus, it's just SuperAMOLED. Galaxy S2, Galaxy Tab 7.7 (the new one) and Galaxy Nexus are the top-tier devices for the moment utilizing Super AMOLED Plus display matrix.
Like i said to derik123derik123, i´ll try to put my toughts in a parcial way...
First of all, i´ve been always merging between iOS and Android, like them a lot, lived with it for years, all kinda of mobiles, jailbreakin, rootin, flashing custom, downgradin, even opening to change hardware parts...
Last year i had Motorola Atrix 4G and iPhone 4S, great ones, but without the opportunity to live with an oficial ICS ROm, i sold Atrix and in this January without jailbreak and tired of iOS, sold iPhone 4s....
Now, i had the opportunity and bought and Samsung Omnia 7...remember when you´re a kid and saw that toy in TV or Movie and when you got it sounds just more perfect then you could thought? When sounds that you will pass your entire life with it spending all minute just adoring it?
Well, i felt just like when started to use Omnia 7 with Mango 7.5, i really felt happier each time i scrolled my finger, the system is so fluid, so fast, so responsive, its beautiful, its simple, modern and intuitive, you dont have to dig its already there in your face.
For the first time i felt that my years with Droid and iPhones passed...Microsoft has now conquered me and surprised with an inteligent innovation, they just create something unique, there is nothing in their system that remebers Android or iOS, they have their identity.
I think that if you like the new, the unique and different, Windows Phone 7 it´s a new and beuatiful world to explore all time.
Well I took your advice. I gave my Wildfire to the wife (Her G1 was getting a bit long in the tooth) and installed mirolg's excellent rom.
I'm now sat here with the Omnia running the mirolg unlocked rom and I'm impressed! Google/Facebook/Linkedin contact all came across and worked perfectly.
Yes the screen is very nice, must get some video to play on it. Just a few niggles though if anyone can help.
It would be nice to be able to turn on/off 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS from the start screen. I've installed toggle but it only does 3G and Wifi, anyone know of an app that does all 4?
Slightly annoyed that there is no SD slot to upgrade the capacity, I though most phones came with this these days.
On a much wider note are there any 'must have' apps or games on this device? What do you lot run and recommend?
Look forward to the replies!

Thanks again for all the help! Supreme shortcuts is exactly what I wanted and I've installed most of the apps mentioned by the awesome mirolg.
Phone is now almost perfectly setup...........apart from Zune! For a start it's seems unnecessary as I was used to drag and drop on Android, but I can live with it.
What I can't live with is the way it won't copy a full album over! I have a lot of Audio Books, I do a lot of driving and I find them better than music.
They are all ID3 marked up and work fine on all other devices. I sync them up with the Omnia 7 and for some reason it copies over file 1,2, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11 etc!!
I really don't understand why it will not copy the FULL contents of the album, I've checked the tags, they are all good, all files are there and play on other devices, I have removed and re added the library, but no. It does not seem to work!
Also, a very strange thing. I fully charge the phone, connect Bluetooth in the car and the phone to USB to charge and by the end of my journey (6Hrs) the phone battery is nearly dead! I havn't used the phone for anything, 3g, Wifi, GPS all turmed off!
Any idea why the phone seems to discharge? I know the USB port on the Car Stereo is fine as I have used other phones with it.
Thanks again, I'd appreciate any advice!
