Battery Drain Issues

Hi to all....
I just wanted to know how much battery drain you guys have cause my galaxy's battery barely even lasts for a day even though i've calibrated the battery(not just once)!!! :S
Please post your drain if you can and with what type of usage you do cause my drain is insane!!!!
Multiple battery drain posts all over the forum and fixes . read them .
jje
You find a lot of topics about battery drains, please read them. Just as an introduction you must know, that after flashing a new Rom and kernel you'll probably get a stupid battery drain, which means that maybe you have 100% all the time, or in the most of the cases you get a HUGE battery drain. I had the same problem, after installing a new ROM, my phone was sucked... at night with wifi and GPS and 3g turned off it lost 60% battery from 100%, so when I woke up I just noticed that I have 40%. It has been resolved automatically. Now I have 3days battery with no hard usage, but it takes 2 days in almost every cases. I'm now Darky 9.5 and Darky Core kernel.

Battery calibration, galaxy tab 2 CM9

Battery calibration, galaxy tab 2 CM9CM9, and at first glance it seemed that the battery was draining way too fast.
So after some research, I found a solution to this problem. When I had the stock rom, the battery life was like 15 hours, all day wifi on. But when I moved to cyanogenmod 9, the battery life dropped drastically to about 6 hours, minimum brightness levels. So got back to stock. Soon I was missing CM9
Suddenly came to my mind that maybe the problem wasn't CM9, since I have read that many people is very happy with battery endurance.
When we flash a new from, the battery data remains intact, this sometimes causes the new rom to have a bad reading of the stats.
The solution I found is battery calibration. You can find an app for free in the market. What it does is, it wipes your battery data so the new rom generates fresh data.
You just have to get your GT2 fully charged, then calibrate with the app.
Since I did this, I feel battery life has improved, in fact, I think it is better than before CM9.
YOU SHOULD GIVE IT A TRY.
it worked fine for me.
sorry
The post was right before sending it.
Tried to attach a pic, but I'm new here guys
Battery calibrate only deletes the existing battery usage data. It gives you a fresh look at what is draining your battery. This has been argued many times in just about every other device forum. Here is the answer from the google rep.

[Q] Battery drain when not in use

I haven't seen any other posts about this so i'm hoping I'm not the only one. My Nexus 7 is rooted but is not running any custom roms. Whats happening is that I put the tablet down at like 95% battery remaining and when I pick it up the next day it will be at about 30%. When I look at the battery usage "Android OS" is the number consumer with something like 70% of use.
I found a post stating that turning off Wifi Optimization would fix this but it hasn't seem to help me. Anyone know what I can look at to see whats causing the battery drain? Having to charge it daily kind of sucks when I only use it for maybe 15 minutes or so a day.
I think a wakelock causing it. Try this app to find it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.uzumapps.wakelockdetector
(Read THIS to understand it)

Standby battery drain issue in HTC U Ultra!

Hi,
I have recently got a new HTC U Ultra from Dubai and found quick battery drain issue in it and I have to charge it twice a day. It only gives max 2 hours screen on time and even battery get drained when the phone is in standby mode. Can anyone help here, please?
Thanks in advance!
Show us battery history and battery usage per app then we could help.
Definitely not normal behavior. See battery history for potential problematic application causing the drain. If nothing can be seen you can try reset of the phone.
Join the club mate, same here brand new ultra here from Dubai.. I don't think it's good to check drain now.. is just the first week. That said try the wake lock detector app

I have reset the device and till now it seems little better as after 44 mins of screen on time I still have 81% battery left. Thanks for all the suggestions guys!
Keep in mind that in the first 5 to 10 days android does many things in background till it sets up everything. I personally start looking at battery life after the first week of usage.

just like you, i also notice standby drain, but didn't feel it as so bad as 2 hours SOT.... didn't feel the need to check the SOT, so honestly i don't know the numbers. i myself installed wakelock detector to see if there are anyything triggering the wakelocks.. will report back!

yeah, thats why i am not worried at this point.
I have turned off the permanent secondary display and is on for the notifications only. Now it is giving me around 3.2 hours of SOT and I hope its fine.

I checked my device and have considerably low standby drain. Didn't measure yet, but when there is enough signal and when in WiFi, the battery holds up properly. I think 3.2 is still a little low, At least of 4 hours I expect.

Battery problem (Help appreciated)

Lately i feel like the battery in my s8 has been pretty bad. I get maybe 2-2.5h SoT. Also im worried about the battery monitor. The percent of the apps there barely add up to anything while i see others screenshots and their percentage by the apps add upp till maybe 50-70%. Im on stock rom and no root. Any advice/help?
