That sounds odd, perhaps a refresh rate issue, find out what gfx card you have and get drivers from manufacturer (ati/nvidia/intel) if the problem persists contact dell asap.

thanks brother ...

Sounds like a stuck pixel. There are many screen test apps in the market, pick one and see how it runs
Yes, i tried some apps but it didnt solve the problem. Is there some app that can fix the bad pixel?

I'm in India and I got mine replaced at HTC service center in Delhi.
You should also visit a HTC service center for authentic parts.

I've got some specific touch issues. Sometimes my capacitative buttons and one thin horizontal strip of the screen don't respond to touch. Sometimes the entire touchscreen takes in input without even touching the screen. Sometimes everything works perfectly. I'm having to reboot multiple times to fix this issue. But then it occurs with absolute randomness. My phone is barely usable most of the time. My question is, which part is to blame? The digitizer / ribbon Cable? Please let me know. I would like to replace it myself. I've already opened the phone to check for any loose cables. My phone is out of warranty hence I am a little hesitant towards HTC Service which is an outsourced establishment.

Second hd2 with a different screen type

My gf and I both have hd2's and we got them replaced recently under warranty. Hers came in and it has a different screen type than normal listed in the tri color screen and when I loaded tytungs ics rom it works fine on mine but hers (same partitions, magldr configuration) the screen doesn't darken when she makes a call!
Does anyone else have this problem or know any way around this

That may be because of problem in proximity sensor of your device.

I really don't know if that is it. The phone works perfectly running winmo 6.5, it is only in android that the problem comes up

Screen guard?

Screen protector film if you have it on the screen

There is none. The problem isn't sensitivity of the screen. The problem is that one time you call out the screen goes blank and never comes back and the next time the screen never goes off. I have tried ramping up the screen off frequency and that doesn't help either.

so you mean that one of you has the 295 (0x30 in bootloader) touchscreen and the other one the 300 (0x50 in bootloader) and that this causes the problem? not very likely. does not depend on the lcd/touchscreen.
maybe try to wipe the device and do a fresh install?

[Q] Random pixels show on screen?

Hello,
I have a problem with my Droid Pro, after few minutes of use on my screen shows random pixels in random order and color, pixels change positions after touch. For disable this problem i have to lock and unlock phon but after few minutes appeared again.
I'm using Vanilalvl CM7 rom.
Did anyone had the same problem? I'm want to know that is a software or hardware problem?

Thanks, i'll tray your solution on orginal rom

I noticed this as soon as I got my Droid Pro. I think it's an overheating problem. I called my provider, they sent me a replacement phone, but same problem. After a few more calls, I spoke with a tech support guy who knew of the issue and he said it's just a design flaw. By the way, I'm on rooted stock rom.
So I've just gotten used to it and am waiting til I can afford a Nexus 4.
I haven't found this problem on mine, but maybe you could try to use screen test software,it seems not a hardware problem.

Can you give me a name of some test programs. I've already used Screen Test and nothing happens after few minutes of use.
Sorry because I haven't use any screen test app so I don't know.
Have you try other roms already?

Bottom screen not responding well

So I have this weird issue. The very bottom of my screen does not respond well! At first I thought it was a bug with the navigation bar, tried several roms and tried PIE controls until I figured that there is something wrong. I have the navbar now set at 48 dpi and I have to press at middle of it to work, where the very bottom is dead. I activated 360 rotation so that my statusbar now is at the bottom of the screen instead of navbar and it does not respond at all! Anyone can explain ?

I have Tried like lots of different roms with clean fresh installation and the problem is still there ! I think its a hardware problem. For ezample right now if I set my navbar to 32 dpi it wont respond at all because the bottom of my screen have lost the touch sensitivity. I have droppes my phone several times, could that be it ? I cant really remember when I exactly started noticing the issue...but just few days ago...I have tried PIE and same **** :s I have to set the trigger area to max for it to respond...and yes im talking about experiments after a clean install before installing ANY third party app

okays... Now I think it surely a hardware problem,as you said you havr also dropped your phone several times.. All the best goto the service centre for the repair.. dont tell them that you have dropped your phone else they will charge you badly even if you are under warranty.. You are welcome..

Think Im gonna give no damn about it and of course buy the nexus 5, which I would have done either way..but im surprised how can a touchscreen lose a part of its sensitivity somewhere on the screen ?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
If you look closely at your screen at an angle with the screen off you will be able to see the digitizer matrix that is fused to the screen.
It is a series of squares.
Each of them squares has 3 horizontal lines and one vertical.
Behind the bezel there will be the circuitry that connects every horizontal and vertical line
If say for instance after one of your phone drops it has damaged one of the connectors at the side, you will lose the entire row of touch detection. Which is probably what has happened

Alex is right i had this happen to my moto defy. I'd say get it done under warrnty no matter if youre keeping or selling. Improve your resale value and protect you from having the entire digitizer die on you
