[Q] What is the best rom android4 for hd2? - HD2 General

Which is better in your opinion the three Android4 ROM?
icecream totsi 4.0.3 v9
nexus hd2 icecream
miui icecream 4.0.1

I have used all 3 and Tosti has been the most stable and reliable.

Don't know about Tosti.
I use Nexus HD2 v1.4 - fine speed and no errors yet.
Miui is still in beta stage and I've decided not to use it.

I recommend NexusHD2 ICS as well

Stay away from ICS version as they are not stable yet...
If you still insist, then you can try MIUI version of ICS as well..

I install all of theme and i think totsi is the best one
it is faster than other for me

I would say Nexus HD2 by tytung, if you install it right, works fine and its faster and smother.

Ics tosti v.09 for me so far its the easiest to use. used it since v.01 an it gets better each update tytung does good work to but it is a bit more complicated with extra scripts an apps2sd an so on. Your choice both are awsome givem both a try I have an so far I just can't leave icst.

ICS MOD2 Beta 6.3 tested works good

Gingerbread...
Refined the user interface, improved the soft keyboard and copy/paste features, and added support for NFC....
Awsome. Would you recomend swapping from froyo to gingerbread? And if so are there any recomended roms to use?

Froyo now is faster on our Hero...
But you can try Cronos Ginger is quite fast and frequently update
you can also give a try to Elelinux :

[Q] Most stable NAND rom for EU version?

Hello,
I'm searching for the most stable and function complete android rom for the EU HD2. I searched on the forum and found some similar threads, but they are old, so maybe recent roms gained much stability.
I would prefer gingerbread and a sense UI, but if it's more stable without sense, no problem
It is more stable (and faster) without sense.
Get NDT MIUI, Typhoon or HyperDroid.
depends on what you define as stable
sense and gingerbread still has issues with the camcorder and glitches but there is a fix that disables hardware acceleration that fixes the glitches
I really root for cm7, everything is just so smooth and well functioning. I'm using launcherpro in addition, as I don't really dig the launcher it comes with. With the latest ROM I haven't had a single process being force stopped!

This is the ROM that i have on my device
Android GBLeo Build
Ist very fast, very stable and with sense
and when you want to have it smoother put a radiorom with 576MB ram hack on your device!
cm7 or ultimate droid 3.3
Cyanogenmod 7!
I will vote Cyanogenmod 7 as well and to be more specific this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1013852
Gingerbeard 2.3.5
Stable
Fast
Low battery consume (about 5-7mA)
and with some good tweaks!
Give it a try
it depends on what kind of rom you want
I for one and used many and satisfied me most is iMilk's Vision Sense v5.0
I'm testing the rom Android ROM GBLeoR3 2.3.3SENSE2.1 HD2
and so far I'm very happy you only have a small bug and Video Camcoder not 100%
Hyperdroid CM7 - best rom for EU HD2.
Fast, smooth, light and NO LAGS.
All recent sense builds lag for EU HD2
Have some one stable, fast and energy save ROM on Android 2.3.x with SENSE 3
I'm using a EU mobile and I have to say these two are the best for Simplicity, fast, Stable, and Clean ROM (my personal experience)
NexusHD2-Gingerbread V3.1a (GRK39F)(Android 2.3.6)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905060
NDT GINGER V17.0 CM Nightly 2.3.5
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1013852
But, the only way you are going to 'know' is if you try them out.
im using mxz miui 7 ,almost perfect

What do you think about this rom?
"[30.SEP.11][MAG/cLK] TyphooN CyanogenMod 7 Nightly v3.6.7 [2.3.5][A2SD][tytung r12.3]"
Using WP7 at the moment in think abut going back to Android... I'm undecided whether TyphooN and this Rom:
[18.Sep.11][ZIP]★★★★★HyperDroid-CM7-v3.0.1[a2sd][CyanogenMod7 LEO 2.3.5][seader_R5]

I experiment with alot of the ROMs especially trying out the new Sense 3.5 ones but I always keep a copy of NexusHD2 on my memory card as I can pretty much guarantee eventually I'll come across something that doesn't work properly and end up reverting back to it. Probably the most stable ROM out there and everything works.
Using RAfdroid with sense...works perfect!!a part for the camcorder....
Yes, its good Rom. But I need Rom with HTC Sense 3...

I'm using Typhoon CM7 and LauncherPro and have the launcher force closed sometimes - especially when I switch from an active app back to the homescreen. Otherwise, it works fine.

[Q]: will ice cream run on 8800 pro ? which firmware do you recommend ?

Hello,
currently I have 2.3 installed and Im wondering if there is any better, custom ROM available ? but it has to be stable and without lag.
also will ice cream sandwich be available for this phone ?
What 2.3 do you have? Miui and cm7 are working fine for me. There are 2 buggy ics demos.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Currently I have official huawei 2.3.5. Ill give it a try to MIUI and CM7.
happy new year
I use CM7 with my 8800Pro, but even the latest version of CM7 for this phone has several annoying bugs.

I love Unofficial AOKP
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1441462
Many more customization options than NexusHD2 ICS (which I find useless). And battery and speed is great.
Thx
And the stability of this ROM ?
because Nexus HD2 that I tested was a Bugged release

all ics are not stable for now because it dont'have a full hardware accelleration but only an hack.
if you like stability put an gingerbread rom
I would go with xylo's aokp unofficial build. its getting closer and closer to a final, only thing missing is full hwa, but its definetly a great daily driver.
I'm using NexusHD2 ICS V 1.6 Of course there is no ICS rom with full Hardware acceleration for the HD2. This rom is very smooth as i use it everyday. The battery life is VERY GOOD (i get about 23 hours on moderate use).
there is no best mate, just "better", if u want fast, then go for AOKP aka IceCreamTosti, if u prefer a stable want, choose Nexus ICS CM9 from tytung's thread
I'm using the AOKP rom, dont have any real problems with it.
I'm also using Xylograph's unofficial AOKP rom without stability problems.
Thanks guys for your feedback
+1 Xylograph's unofficial AOKP rom
NexusHD2 is nice.
cm9 beta1 leo with hwa. I ve been using it and its stable and fast.
Out of the Nexus v1.6 and the ice cream Toastie rom is there anything that doesnt work on each rom? ie marketplace, camera
It appears to me that these two are the most popular SD ICS Roms - i want to make a choice between the two without testing really so any input will be greatly appreciated
THANKS LOVE XDA
You really should try it!
The fastest, stablest and best battery saver is Typhoon CM7 ROM! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=933951
Typhoon rom is not a ICS rom.Question is for ICS.

Can someone recommend me a new ROM?

Hi all.
I have been away from my HD2 since the beginning of the year when I picked up a galaxy nexus, well I'm having issues with that and its currently at the repair centre.
I used to run American Android on the HD2, but since just looking it doesn't look like its been updated.
can someone recommend me a similar ROM? if its jelly bean or ics that is a bonus but I don't want any htc sense or other bloatware

dtokez,
You are in luck! HD2 has recently received a new lease of life with NativeSD.. If you have a good SD card, you can enjoy ROMs of your choice (GB, ICS or JB) running on the SD card with performance as good, if not better, than NAND. Check out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1869673 to start enjoying NativeSD ROMs.
Thanks that looks promising, I will have a read through
What ROMs do people tend to be favouring most at the moment?
Aokp jelly bean build3

Or PA 2.15 if you like to mess with dpi's (or not).
NexusHF2 cm9 with tytung's new 3.5 kernel and if you do some trick with build.prob it is stable, fast and very suitable for everyday usage.

BlueOrange Mix v1.2 ICS is tiny and very fast.
Try the nexus HD from tytung with the latest securecrt kernel or the cm9ight from xylograph

I was running this for about a year and a half: TyphooN CM7: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=933951
This morning I switched to NexusHD2-JellyBean CM10: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1930240
The GB build is definitely solid, recommended for everyday use. The JB build is stable until now and I decided to switch to it for everyday use; I have great confidence in tytung's releases.

this rom is good, smooth, stable and flexible custom.
i recommend nexushd2 jellybean http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1930240
