How do you change the UI language?

Hey devs
I just got my Acer Iconia A500 and it seems to be running the EMEA_GEN3 firmware, which doesn't include Danish language. I'm guessing this is to be found in the EMEA_NORDIC firmware, but I'm unsure as to how I install it.
I've tried flashing an update for EMEA_NORDIC, but that didn't work out.
Any help, please?

No worries, I installed the 3.1 update which included all languages. This works great!

Download Acer Recovery Installer from Market, then download the ClockworkMod Recovery INSTALL that via the Acer Recovery app and then look for the Nordic or custom rom with all languages and install from recovery mode. You need to do a little but of reading but they also have videos with instruction so follow them and you will be fine.

OK I bit the bullet and installed it. It has an option for English locale in Settings > System > Language & Input
(You may want to practice how to go to that setting beforehand because the default UI is in Chinese)

If the above file is in Chinese ONLY and there is NO English Option in Settings, then English Translated Verisons will be popping up throughout the day from Miui US, MIUI UK, and MIUI Scottland ( MIUI Scottland is actually MIUI UKs version with a few more apps).
When other versions become available, i will update the other post...

Hmm, tried it for a while and don't seem to like it much compared to the ROMs by MIUI.us.
This original ROM is not even deodexed. Will wait for other versions then

[Q] Is there a way to translate a ROM on windows?

Hello.
I tried the latest english MIUI ROM for Defy (2.4.20) and I really liked it. The problem is that my girlfriend does't know a word of english and the latest version has not been translated to her native language, french.
The last version that MIUI France translated was 2.3.30. I know there aren't many differences between 2.4.20 and 2.3.30. However, 2.4.20 is the very last MIUI ROM for Defy, so I think it's a shame they don't want to translate it. Besides, if there are so few differences between these versions, it should not be so hard to update the string files.
Basically, what I want to do at the moment, is to take the translated string files from 2.3.30 and put them into 2.4.20. If some strings are missing I may try to update them later on.
If I understood correctly, I need to transfer the string files of every app from the french ROM to the english one with apktool, but I can't find a way to extract the files from the miui ROMs (which is strange since they are zip files). My best guess is that I'm missing a step.
So my question is the following: is there a way do to it from a windows computer and what is it?

I got 3 questions, i looked arround and didn't find any answer
1) I know that CyanogenMod 7 wasn't fully ported yet, but is this rom avaiable in brazilian portuguese?
2) Can i choose the language of swype keyboard? I mean the rom is in english but i want to use swype in brazilian portuguese, is that possible?
3) Is it possible to somehow fully translate a custom rom?

Language Enabler

Hi guys,
My phone is G900F. Its android is updated to lollipop
I wanted to enable Farsi language on it. So I downloaded "Language Enabler" app. Then successfully rooted it through:

However, when I launched the "Language Enabler" app, although it did enable the desired language, it damaged the performance of my phone. It runs slowly and with graphical lags.
Anybody knows a solution?
