Hi,
Someone said that if Market is not installed on the phone, I should install it manually using Root Explorer, as I did. I've gone to system/app/vending.apk and installed it and It all goes well.
The problem occurs when I reboot or turn off my device, the market is again not showing in the App drawer, I've created the shortcut on desktop but when I click it it says that app is not installed, how can I fix this problem?
Thanks in advance!

If you used Vending.apk try out com.amarket.apk instead. I was having the same issue before I switched. Also try clearing cache and data from the app, under Manage Applications. That has worked on the Amazon App Store when I had installs hang.

If your updating market just install and it will say overwrite and click yes.
Following the instructions on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351283 I got market installed. But whenever I try to install anything from the market, the app will crash, and will continue to force close whenever I try to open it again. Reinstalling didn't help. I tried several versions of the market, the vending.apk, com.amarket.apk and even the newer 3.4.4 version found elsewhere. Anyone else has Market running without crashing?
Experiencing the same thing. I did not edit the OTAInstaller file and am curious if I could have received the udpate somewhere in the background. Is that possible?
**Rooted pre update using OneClick. Used the Utility and TWRP to install CM7. Everything other than market is working great. Thanks to all of the developers. Job well done**
I have LG Optimus One (P500), had the same problem now. Problem started probably when I installed flash player. Problem solved by clear dalvik cache.
---- problem solved ----
P.S. It has nothing to do with Market - I forgot to set Droidwall to allow Market and Googleserviceframework

By doing what? Clearing Dalvik?
Sent from my rough sketch of a Vibrant on a brick.
I have the same problem, and it seems that my KF stopped to download apps from the market (it's v6.2.1 and rooted).
I don't think I've installed Droidwall (intentionally) and I don't know what Dalvik is

Hi Guys,
I hope you can help me to finally fix this.
I got my Kindle Fire last night updated to ver 6.2.1. After that I managed to root the device using the latest Kindle Fire utility and installed the google Apps including Andorid Market Bulid 3.3.11.
Now I can start it but everytime I just pick up an App to install it failes saying:
'' Error : ... could not be downloaded due to an Error''
How do I fix this?
Meanwhile I tried to install Apps via Browser but there is no Kindle Fire device listet in there so I could send the App to it!
I am so confused with this please help me !
Thx
regards
Mjay

That was the bad Vending.apk!
First Deinstalled Both Vending & GoogleserviceFramework

and installed both of them .
Reboot
Now Works like a charm

After hours of wiping, clearing caches and installing various versions of the Google Frame work and Google Market place I found this thread and it works now! Thanks a lot, made my day. Do you know by any chance how to securly upgrade the Market place?
Edit: I downloaded the 3.4.4 Market place from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1391565, removed your working version, copied the new version to system/app and changed permission. After installation of the new version and a reboot the new version works now as well!
How do I know what version of Marketplace is installed?
I have the same "due to an error" message.
I don't understand the "goto applications - look for market - select and clear cache, clear data, force close - start market again" instruction, where is "applications" ?

My kindle is running 6.2.2. I rooted using the kindle fire utility and installed de Android Market, but there's a problem. When I launch the app it prompts me to add an account and when I click on "Yes" the app closes.
I tried clearing the cache, app data and reinstalling the app but nothing seems to work.
The market APK i'm currently using is Market-3.3.11.apk
I'd love to hear any suggestions anyone might have.
Thanks!
