My kindle is running 6.2.2. I rooted using the kindle fire utility and installed de Android Market, but there's a problem. When I launch the app it prompts me to add an account and when I click on "Yes" the app closes.
I tried clearing the cache, app data and reinstalling the app but nothing seems to work.
The market APK i'm currently using is Market-3.3.11.apk
I'd love to hear any suggestions anyone might have.
Thanks!

Hi,
Someone said that if Market is not installed on the phone, I should install it manually using Root Explorer, as I did. I've gone to system/app/vending.apk and installed it and It all goes well.
The problem occurs when I reboot or turn off my device, the market is again not showing in the App drawer, I've created the shortcut on desktop but when I click it it says that app is not installed, how can I fix this problem?
Thanks in advance!

Any help would be appreciated.
do you have googleservicesframework installed ?
look to this great post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19789892&postcount=35
it works like a charm
You have to give the Android market the right permissions

Following the instructions on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351283 I got market installed. But whenever I try to install anything from the market, the app will crash, and will continue to force close whenever I try to open it again. Reinstalling didn't help. I tried several versions of the market, the vending.apk, com.amarket.apk and even the newer 3.4.4 version found elsewhere. Anyone else has Market running without crashing?
Experiencing the same thing. I did not edit the OTAInstaller file and am curious if I could have received the udpate somewhere in the background. Is that possible?
**Rooted pre update using OneClick. Used the Utility and TWRP to install CM7. Everything other than market is working great. Thanks to all of the developers. Job well done**
I have LG Optimus One (P500), had the same problem now. Problem started probably when I installed flash player. Problem solved by clear dalvik cache.
---- problem solved ----
P.S. It has nothing to do with Market - I forgot to set Droidwall to allow Market and Googleserviceframework

By doing what? Clearing Dalvik?
Sent from my rough sketch of a Vibrant on a brick.
I have the same problem, and it seems that my KF stopped to download apps from the market (it's v6.2.1 and rooted).
I don't think I've installed Droidwall (intentionally) and I don't know what Dalvik is

It's the fault of Amazon. They broke the most recent app. I uploaded the last release for people to use https://www.dropbox.com/s/tpjiru2656xmw0x/AmazonMP3.apk
Thanks for the answer, but the problem is with Kindle Amazon app to read.

All their apps are broke. MP3, the whole bit. I always keeps apps backedup in Titanium BU so I don't have to mess with this.
I found that using a build prop editor to change ro.product.manufacturer to anything but "Amazon" fixed the problem.
"Amzn", "asus", whatever, it all seems to work. You also don't need to change ro.product.model.
I wonder if that means that when Amazon apps see an Amazon device they will try to call stuff from FireOS and thus crash. This would mean that it's unlikely that Amazon will ever "fix" their apps.
Huge thanks!

Thanks so much for putting this out. Was going to try and reinstall the APK that LinearEquation was so kind to provide but figured the best route to go is the least invasive. After changing my setting from Amazon to AmazonRooted then rebooting, all was well!
You and LinearEquation are another pair of my XDA-developer heroes! :good::good::good:
Thank you for the link to Dropbox LinearEquation. It works perfectly.
