I flashed the most recent build of ICS/CM9 on my Kindle Fire.
I then installed the chrome beta app. The app will open fine and I see the interface, but when I try to go to any URL the browser window remains blank. A loading bar appears and it seems like it's loading the HTML / images etc... but the screen is just white.
Has anyone else had this issue? Do we know why? Is there a way to fix it?

That is a known issue until hardware acceleration is fixed

hi,
I came across a weird problem. I don't know if it happened after an app update or what, but when I try to open links in non browser apps, the browser never opens, the screen dims like its trying to open a new app, but it never does. I have to press back or home to get out of it. I tried checking all my apps to see if the wrong program had hyper links as an incorrect default but I found nothing. I use dolphin browser HD and I'm using the Prime ROM. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
Fixed it. Reinstalled Dolphin and now it works.
Maybe it's just me or something I'm doing, but Swype beta (2.6?) basically isn't working on the Google using the stock browser. I've manager to successfully install Swype and I'm enjoying it very much, but this is a large problem.
Basically, when trying to Swype in a Google search, the text bar just won't respond. Swype itself seems to respond just fine - the suggestion bar even comes up. But no text appears in the bar.
It's anyone else experiencing this?
See the same thing, but I don't normally use the Silk browser. Normally Dolphin or Opera Mobile if not that.
So it works fine on those? Well that's definitely a young point for then. Time to get the market.
I have flash working but full screen always fails, the screen goes black. Is there a fix? I've tried every browser, boat, firefox, AOSP, ocean, etc.
EDIT: It's working on firefox right now but there's no seek bar, no controls. Grr.
I have the same problem. Using ocean browser.

Full screen works for me on Boat Browser with all the websites I've tried. As far as why it wont work on your end, It may just be a fluke with certain websites. Since it is not "officially" supported on JellyBean it may be hit or miss.
You could share what website in particular you're trying to access full screen and I could try it on my end.
Also, what version of Flash Player are you using?
I installed flash on my N10 earlier (something I thought I never do ) and can also confirm the site I tried using the fullscreen player on just resulted in a black screen, on AOSP Browser (I use CM 10.1). I use whatever the latest ICS APK that was available on Adobe's archive site.
I didn't try other browsers yet.
On my Nexus 4 I have a few apps which display shortened URL's and everytime I click on them my browsers never are able to open them, even though the links are perfectly fine because I can open them on my desktop and they work.
i've tried it in browser, chrome and even dolphin HD and neither of them will open, does anybody else have this issue?

I have a galaxy note 2 with killa jolie rom and I have the same problem
Are you guys using an ad blocker?
I'm having a strange problem with my web browser, Brandsonic Web mobile for Android, on the Nook Simple Touch. It works fine, loading websites and displaying them fine. Then as soon as you scroll it stops working. The page title and URL update but the WebView doesn't seem to update to display the new page that it's supposed to be displaying. I want to make a Nook specific version but I won't be able to until I resolve this issue. To make it clear, I am the developer of this app. This there something I need to do to make the app compatible with the Nook Simple Touch? I've never had this problem on any other device I've ran this app on. If you want to try it yourself on your NST, PM me and I will send you the version I am currently working on.
There's a lot of apps that don't update properly on the Nook, most just being incompatible with Android 2.1, some however go past that, ie: even though you have the proper market app installed you still need the searchmarket.apk for it to work correctly.

Did you make any progress on that?
I'd love to see an e-ink optimized browser

No, unfortunately. It seems to be a problem with the Nook itself. The same thing happens with the browser that comes with NookManager.
