Bought my Xoom tonight at stables!

I went to staples tonight and bought a xoom wifi off the shelf. WOOT, Since I live in Utah, all the staples are closed Sunday so I guess they opened sales up early.

Where in Utah? I am in Stockton, outside of Tooele and I am wanting to get mine asap..

I just bought one today at the Redmond, WA Staples. I thought the wi-fi only version was not supposed to be available until tomorrow (Sunday 3/27) and in fact Best Buy either didn't have them today or wouldn't sell me one... but Staples did.
So far, I like this thing.

I would like to know this aswell i went to the riverton staples and called the sandy one and neither would do it til tomorrow

Question... Does the box have any special staples code on it? And does the receipt show the serial number. The reason I ask is because I was thinking about buying one then returning my amazon order to staples when it comes in.

Yea i went to two staples today in Jersey, one refused to sell it to me and in another one the general manager of the store couldn't wait to sell it to me; i'm loving the device so far.

They're always gonna have special bar codes to identify each unit individually. One reason is to keep people from doing something like this....
Just wait 2 days for your Amazon order or just return it when it gets here if you buy the Staples one.

Ya all must be from the country. Wes call it Staples around these parts. On a side note don't you read your post before or after posting? I see this a lot.

Crazy, i was born and raised in Redmond!

I saw the model version at staples in new York. They didn't have any for sale...either that it was all bought out. But the demo unit had the latest 3.01 version. From all demo units I saw, none of them had internet access at all! It's quite a shame cuz there's a lot to show. But the demo unit was snappy and fast!

Just picked mine up at Staples(manassas,Va in case anyone cares)! Unfortunately it came with the battery completely drained so im waiting for it to charge enough to turn on.

Woot, got mine from Staples today. At first they refused to sell it to me, claiming they had to give me an 'orientation' first. I simply asked if they were ready to lose out on $600.
So far I like it. Typing on it now, the keyboard isn't ideal for two-handed typing. Gotta touch type. Also not seeing spellcheck in the browser. And typing on the full XDA site is realllllly laggy. Wondering if that's due to flash. Oh well, so far so good.
It is a bit heavy room come to think of it. Damn!
Edit: Spellcheck has to be enabled in the keyboard settings. Gah, such a n00b error.

Did it come with a saddle?

The xda site is very laggy on the xoom. It has been that way since day 1 with any xoom. Get thumb keyboard in market for excellent typing on xoom.

About to take the plunge..but in need of finalization

So I've been stalking the SGS S2 forums for the past week (got nothing else to do seeing how I'm recovering from a recent surgery) and was wonder from everyone's experience, who should I order from? (Would be an order to Canada btw)
Clove, Handtec, Expansys UK, US or Canada?
Would ordering from the UK be cheaper or stick with the North American companies since they now confirmed that the phones are Quad Band 3g.
Just need a little push in the right direction before I drop $800.

I was going to order from the Canadian Expansys site but noticed the price hiked up. Consider me subscribed here because I too am wondering who to order from. More specifically, wondering if there are import taxes/duty fees, and how long it took to receive (assuming some sites have sent them out yet).
As of right now Expansys.ca wants 826.70 with Express shipping to Ontario. If there are import fees on top of that I might wait a bit...

Check your country's customs website, probably states import taxes if there are any. Note that most big delivery companies(like UPS/DHL) tolls the goods themselves, so no risk of your package getting stuck in customs for weeks.

If you switch on GPS place the phone next to the defib and you then jump about its working .
Good luck with the defib hope its never used .

That's dirty. Best Buy exclusive? Lame. You have to buy a junk laptop to lock into the fire sale. Wonder if they'd let it slide if you return the laptop. I guess they would catch it or have already set preventitive measures.

They'd probably set a bar for Black Friday deals not apply or a price limit if they'll even have them around that time.

The only way I see this working is find someone that wants to buy a pc and go with them and you fork out the $150. Other than that I don't see anyone buying a pc just to get a touchpad. The first fire sale was bait for something like this.

HP really played dirty on this one. I need a new laptop but am waiting to buy on BLACK FRIDAY. I was really pissed when i received the email stating they can't meet the demands for their last batch of touch pads (something like that). Now its only available in best buy SMH

I recently got an e-mail from Tiger Direct and they were doing this. Received it but about 20 minutes after I looked at it online, they were sold out.

Im just going to buy one off of ebay I found one for 180 new which was good enough for me. poor touchpad imo they looked so beautiful.

$150 to $225 would be about right

Depends on the capacity of it, but unfortunately they aren't worth that much anymore. If you are going to sell it though, do it soon before the new tabs start hitting the market and it will be worth even less.

Agree. Given all of the above and saturation in the tablet market, the seller would be extremely lucky if he got $150.

Yeah right before Christmas I checked Brest buys trade jn calculator. It was around 150, now it sits at 70. Craigslist of coarse is going to be more, just thought it was funny. Might gift this to my girlfriend s little brother

Based on your tax situation, gift it to charity and then take off $799 on your taxes.

Just looking at completed listings on ebay, they are selling used for $275+ typically.

i wouldnt go lower than $250. the lowest price i've seen at a physical retailer is walmart @ $330 for the 16gb. best buy (as far as website) only carries refurbs for $299 for 16gb. no new ones to be found.
even with a quad core 7 incher from asus at $250 looming, $250 for a used a500(10-inch tablet with at least 16gb and full size usb) is a good deal

Is this why Asus is all over the prime forum telling owners they are sorry for all the wifi bluetooth and other issues.
I would recheck the reviews and foums.. REAL USER REVIEWS Not from stores promoting the device. If a store is stuck with something they are going to claim its The best ever...

That is awesome specs for 209 bucks! It's pretty much a nexus device if you ask me. It's powerful and comes loaded with stock android 4.0.4. Awesome processor, although the screen isn't that great but it's still a pretty awesome deal.

its a legit site i just hate that they tack on a $20 charge for paying with paypal and then $30 minimum charge for shipping (unless youre in the USA), after that its cheaper to just buy a phone elsewhere :/
it looks like youll get a bargain then after the charges they dont mention when you click buy it winds up slightly more than elsewhere
