Hello, I have bought a Atrix and I want to know if Atrix is the same as Atrix 4G. Also I want to question about internal storage, in official web say it's 16Gb, but can I use 16gb for install software? what's the factory capacity for software?
I don't find that information in any web...
your web must be a different version than mine because I can find it just fine.

Sorry, i don't find that info, can you tell me please?
Atrix and Atrix 4G depends where you bought it. You will have around 10-11GB of useable space on internal storage.

Atrix and Atrix 4G are the same thing. But the Atrix 4G doesn't have "real" 4G speed because it's not LTE.
The storage is 16GB, and i think you can use 10GB for apps/storage.
Thanks to all.

If you want more storage I picked up a 16gig class 6 micro SD at Costco for $20 last week.

16GB is divided into 2GB for Apps, 4GB for Webtop and 10GB for storage.

Other than the cost and network coverage... Is there any reason i would want to choose one of these over the other?
I was going to go with T-Mobile as they are 'almost' international (no 3G outside of the US) and they have the 5GB/unlimited plan.
However, I can get a sprint one for $349 with no activation fee.. saving $85
Played with the sprint one in costco yesterday..... Now I NEED to buy one :s
I think with T-Mobile u can use the data and voice at the same time, since it's a gsm network. That is only possible by using 4G or WiFi with Sprint.

Thanks - that is true... Never thought of that. Of course, that would require voice to be enabled, but it is defiantly something to be taken in consideration.
Another think i just notices, according to the official website, the sprint version only has 2GB whereas the T-Mobile one has 16GB. Is that true?

The T-Mobile version comes with 16GB internal and no SD card. Sprint comes with 2GB internal and a 16GB SD card.
T-Mobile = 16GB total
Sprint = 18GB total
T-Mobile would have higher storage options though because if you added a 16GB card to the T-Mobile version you would have 32GB total....

You would get 3G out of the US on most 2100Mhz 3G networks (which is the vast majority of the rest of the world).
It's the other way around that generally doesn't work as most "worldwide" 3G GSM phones don't support 1700/2100 AWS.

Dave

Are you saying that the T-Mobile one is more international than the AT&T? I havent done much research, but I know the 3G network that AT&T uses is the same as the one that is used in Europe (or am i missing something?)
I've been quite pleased with my Tab from TMo. My concern with getting the one from sprint is that SDHC cards are capped at 32GB... Therefore the maximum space availible on a sprint is 34GB, whereas I have 48GB availible on my TMo tab right now... Tmo's coverage has also been excellent, and I have frequently been in an area covered by their hotspots.

No - the AT&T Tab should work in Europe too because it also supports 2100MHz UMTS.
However, AT&T use 850MHz and 1900MHz for 3G, which are not used in Europe, but I believe the Euro Tab supports 1900MHz so it should work in places.

Dave
From my experience and from what I've seen at least in the new york/new jersey area Sprint's 3G network is more consistent and overall faster. You should check in your area cause I think if you spend almost all your time in the US that should be one of the biggest considerations. Needless to say I ended up getting the sprint version, funny thing is I use an AT&T nexus one and I consistently get twice the speed on my N1 than I do on my tab on Sprint.

actually they both would come with 18GB. on both 2GB is for app storage. there is no internal storage included in the sprint version other than the app space.
does anyone know if there's any way or application to monitor the 4G usage? for some reason Sprint's website only shows 3G usage, but I am curious on how much I use on 4G..

You sure it's only 4G? It says I used 1.2GB of data my first month with the phone. When I had the Moment I used around 300MB to 500MB on 3G. So 1.2GB over 3G is a bit much.
I use 9 gb+ every month lol

well, I am pretty sure I used more then 200mb last month..so the one on sprint.com is probably just 3g only.
Sprint.com absolutely only shows 3g. I was visiting grandparents over Christmas in Cleveland and did about 10gb of 4g downloading and it shows 300mb of usage for me for the month on the site.
I was just informed by a motorola Rep that the wifi only version will not have an sdcard slot. I looked on costco website (yes I know but only thing I can access at work) and it does not list one. Can anyone confirm this???
Several sources are saying it has one....so glad.

Very interesting. Doesn't say anything on the website about MicroSD. I don't see why it wouldn't though?
Amazon says there is MicroSD support, however.

Hopefully! But in the 3G/4G Xoom the SIM and microSD card share the same slot.
He said the sdcard would not work until the 4g update and since the wifi only didn't have the 4g slot, it also doesn't have a sdcard slot.

Everything I have read to date leads me to believe this is a falsehood. The SD slot is completely dependent on a Honeycomb update, not the 4g.
We get them in tomorrow, hoping the boss man will let me look at a box/read it...maybe open the display

So you will have to be connected to a network?
agps is a normal gps that can be assisted by other sources. no agps is soley dependent on radio, they will all work with just satellite signals.
This from the Amazon site.
Memory
* 32 GB internal memory
* Memory expansion via microSD card slot with support for optional cards up to 32 GB (functionality requires future software upgrade).
If it doesn't.. I'd said it's false advertising. Plus, it really doesn't make sense for it 'not' to have it. I just imagine the 'sim card' door will say microSD instead. If it says anything on it at all now. If I were Moto, I wouldn't change the design between 3g/non-3g. Having the same door for both is pretty smart. Just means the Wifi version is microSD only.
My 2cents.
hmm yeah that WOULD be false advertisement.
Also, aGPS ... I never get that. Just say GPS Chip with aGPS support. Less confusing. GPS Chip = no need for data to get signal.

agps means it will connect without a network, but to get directions you will need a signal. Once you have them you can drop your wifi.

Yeah.. I don't see a MicroSD spec on there...
BUT.. their 3G model doesn't say it either and it's got the hardware for it. So it's anybody's guess at this point. Interested to see what we see in the next few days (or tomorrow if you get to crack open that box).
Here is the 3G page: http://www.motorola.com/Consumers/US-EN/Consumer-Product-and-Services/Tablets/ci.MOTOROLA-XOOM-US-EN.alt
Lastly.. I can't imagine Amazon came up with the description text on their site all on their own. Motorola had to supply that.. you would think at least.
The fact the 3g model doesn't show it gives me hope...

Matt on the official forums says it's not true. It has an SD slot.
I have the 3G Xoom from work and I was considering getting the WIFI so I could use it for personal use. In checking the ads I can not find that it has the MicroSD slot installed and working.
Anyone have any information on this?
None of the specs on the Moto site for either 3G or WiFi list SD capabilities. I doubt that the card would be enabled on the WiFi and not on the 3G yet. From the pics it looks like the slot is still there but they are renders so we won't know until the units start shipping.
Well I work for a large office retail store (staples) and we are getting the wifi only version in store this week. The pre orders are currently going on now so I know that there is at least wifi built in.

I also see that they claim 4G on the device. I have the North American developer R800a that shows an H for HSPA+ speeds in the status bar when I'm in an area that supports it. Does the AT&T R800at show an H or 4G for high-speed data?
The best speed I've obtained on AT&T on my phone thus far has been 3.8Mbps down/1.5Mbps up.
Holy ****, $150 for that??? You're a boss. When I tried to whine that it doesn't have FM Radio (which the adverts said it had, while being untrue) they gave me no more than crap.

Verizon bought back my Motorola D710 because it was advertised as having Bluetooth but it turned out Verizon locked out all Bluetooth profiles except headset (so you couldn't transfer files or pictures or whatever without using their paid Vcast service). I've never seen a class action lawsuit settled so fast, and they bought back the phone and gave me whatever phone I wanted and whatever accessories I wanted as well. Or they would have just paid me back money for it, and the money they offered was more than I paid for it, but would have worked out equal for getting the new phone I wanted at the time (the RAZR).
So....they are saying HSPA 2100, which is what TMobile uses, right?

I was very impressed with the Play's HSPA+ speeds compared to Verizon's 3G model. But,all things being equal,HSPA+ is going to be noticably faster than EVDO Rev.A.I also like the dark Royal Blue color of the AT&T version. Do all the GSM PLAYs have SE MediaScape like r800at does?
