Hey what's up yall, i just got my SGSII today and i'm loving it!!! I loved my atrix too and the forum over there was very helpful since it's release, sometimes a lil aggrivating the way they treat noobs that just got the phone(but every forum has a few people like that) But i'm looking forward to rooting and flashing a rom asap(and no i'm not a noob, i know how to use the search button lol) but if anybody has any suggestions on roms or whatever, please share.....
Batista or CM7 are good starts.
If you want looks and heavily themed the sensation is a good one.
Hello and good afternoon all. Usually I dislike posting, Just because 99% of the time its found elsewhere. But after a quick search of the word cyanogenmod in both the xoom general and xoom QA sections. I couldn't find my answer.
Anyways, I keep seeing posts where everyone is so excited about the cyanogenmod coming to the Xoom, How its the most popular rom, Etc etc etc. My question is; What does CM9 offer exactly in comparison to whats already offered by teamEOS' rom's?
Being relatively new to the android world and only having one android device (my xoom) The only thing custom rom wise i've used would have to be TeamEOS' (formally Tiamat) moray rom and odachi kernel. So could someone please tell me what makes CM so great and so popular with everyone? if you dont mind of course.
As QuantumFoam already knows as I used to write for his blog, I am leaving on my gap year as of this Sunday so won't be around for 6 months. I also just had my birthday and acquired an Xperia T (awesome device) and have donated my blade to my mother. So I won't be around the blade forum much any more considering I won't be here and even when I'm back I'll be getting more stuck into the Xperia T forum. Thanks to all you guys here who have contributed in many ways, especially a big thanks to QuantumFoam for letting me write for his blog for 6 months. I'll come pop in from time to time when I'm back and see if there is any awesome new news and to say hi.
It's been fun, keep rooting and flash roms!

I am just looking for suggestions on which kernel to use with my stock 4.2.1 Rom? There seems to be two in my mind (Motley and Mako), but I don't know which one to use. If you guys don't mind, can you guys give me a couple feedback on these two kernels or any other kernels. Thank you for your time
Franco. Love it. Tried others and I always go back.
There's not such thing as best kernel
Don't ask
This will only start a flame war over which kernel has the most "bleeding edge" features. Besides you have a crackflasher's dream phone with a growing dev community second to none (except maybe gnex for now).
Apologies
Sorry I should have rephrased the title. I am just asking for suggestions and your experience with different kernels. I have no intention of flaming a war or creating a poll. I am new to the nexus 4 forum and just need a little help. Sorry for inconvenience
franco kernel
franco.
but not a good combo with CM mod.
just like... cuties:
play with all of them.

Agree, would prefer trinity and CM.
Thread closed. There is no such thing as a best kernel or anything to that point. Everyone has an opinion and this won't help you choose what's best for you so please read the first post's from the kernel threads and decide if they have the features that are best for you then try them yourself. It's an easy process so you could even try them all.
Thanks
