In what way isn't it working? If it's asking you for an activation code there are plenty of threads regarding this issue - search and you will find...
If it's some other issue, more information is required in order to help you...
if you have problem with marketplace, you can use alternate wAppStore

my phone number starts wit 06-, do i need to put a number in front or something?
i get my live code with only carrier and phone number... for example 0912345987...
international number is +385912345987

Can anyone PLEASE either give me a link, or something to take the Motorola Q (CDMA) and load a new UNBRANDED windows mobile 6 or 6.1 rom on it... I want to be able to program it to a Metro PCS , or Verizon , Or Sprint PCS .... And I am also looking for a way to get the SPC code off of it.... You know the 6 digit code that they use to program it...

hi am sorry but no there is currently not any way to read the activation code from the device itself...
But u can still get a new code if u want!
(I got my code by email, because the code i got wen i called them just wasn't working.)
Is the Activation Code stored on the HD2?
I read on one of the pages of one of the threads in one of the Forums (phew), that the MS Activation Code was stored and almost readable if you had the right apps and RegEdit(?).
After settling down with WP7 I decided I was happy to wait for Mango updates before Re-Flashing, so I discarded the Post-It with my code, but XBMod now has a ROM out and I want it. So I'm gonna need that code.
Does anyone have any more on this?

Just phoned MS UK on 0844 800 2400.
Told them I'd reset my phone and asked them to read my activation code back out to me, which they did. Happy days, just sent it to myself in an e-mail so no more waiting for another XBMod ROM. Ta.
well, you can use the code on your WP7 using this registry :
Live ID Activation Code
(Usefull on HD2 to bypass boring serial number step, need a valid serial!)

I apologize in advance i cannot find the forum with similar topic i know exist but i really want to update my hd2 with a newer version of WP7 and gain the ability to do updates but i know if i change the ROM it will ask me for the activation code and i really don't want to go thru the calls to MS with the possibility of them asking for POP.
i installed Registry editor and i go to HKEY local machine/Software/MS/GwpCPC and there is no info. if I'm not mistaken that is the location of the activation key.
Can some one pls help? really would like the latest version. i currently have Version 7.0.7004.
BTW when i try to upgrade thru Zune errors out stating that i don't have room on an empty phone. if there is a way to force update all the way to mango i would greatly appreciate that info as well.

1. The only way to activate the WP7 with Windows Live is by contacting MS for the activation key. Personally, it is VERY simple. I got my key within 10 minutes. There is also a tutorial here to get it through a chat with a MS representative so that way, you won't need to talk to them.
2. Which WP7 rom are you on? Almost all the custom roms here are now up to date with 8107. You would have to download the exact same custom rom @ the 8107 version and just flash it the same way you did to get WP7.
I recently installed the Pdaimatejam Rom Wp7.8 on my hd2 but when i try to install apps it asks me to put my windows live id but when i do it it tells me activation failed and that i need an activation code.. How can i get one? it tells me to call support but is that fine? i mean since the wp 7.8 is not officialy for the hd2. One guy told me to call and say it is an Htc Hd7 so i dont know what to do please Help i would appreciate it.

Hi guys, phone came from Italy and have Sim-lock, i flash it with Odin for Ukrainian 4 file official framework but still sim-lock,i check all service code,and codes (0000 , 00000000) for unlock this but its doesnt work, pls help me find a solution of this problem,P.S. i have root so i can maybe check code in phone hardware but where pls help,thanks
I understand that the 'lock' in your phone is company related. Surely you need a sim unlock code for that, there's lot of pages where you can pay for that. Even maybe your actual provider could unlock it for free, you should check that. As far as I know, the sim-lock codes aren't removable with a software updating (odin, firmware, etc.).

thanks, i know a lot of pages where i can pay, but im here on this forum , so im not stupid and i can do it myself and for 10 bux drink beer,and yes now i check the sim-lock not removable with odin or another firmware,even RegionaLock Away doesnt work, and Galaxy Toolbox, so i need some path in phone hardware where i can find this code, i know its real but i need this path
