Hello, i have overclock my tablet with tegrak, i have set cpu to 1600 and gpu to 400.
I have tray to play with gta3 with these settings and the risoult is awesome! The game is more smoth and the lag goes out! I mean at full resolution !
My question is.. sameone have any experience in overclocking this samsung devices with a9 and mali-400 ? Sameone have used any galaxy s2 or galaxy note for long times with the gpu and cpu overclocked? Any issues? Your overclocked devices still works or the overclock has broke it? In your opinion my p6800 (that is more large of a galaxy s2 and loss more heat)will handle an overclocked gpu and cpu without destroing itself? Please same real experience
Ps. Is there any way to overclock the mali in any different speedstep? The only one after 276 is 400, and 400 maybe can be too hot.
Don't you need a special kernel to be able to over clock? Or does tegrak somehow bypass that need?
all you need is lova.. xD just kidding, you need a rooted device and the last version of tegrak no kernel mod

can p3600 be overclocked?
thank you!!!!!!
PS. I have the pocketpchack4 and I overclock it to 450Mhz but I want more.......................!!
nope.. pocketpc hack doesn't really work. If you run benchmarks at 200, 400 and 450 mhz, you'll get the same readings. So far, nothing out there can really modify the cpu speed.
As far as I know, there's no working program so far.
hi,there are news?
i'll want overclock my device.
the p3600i have the same processor of p3600?it work @500mhz...good...!
p3600i dont have the same cpu as p3600
the cpu speed is set by the crystal and multiplier
if the multiplier is not able to change using software
one cant overclock

and then I can't overclock...bad bad bad...
it's impossible have cpu 500mhz...?
I think that was the same processor...
only the same processor as a pentium 1.4Ghz and pentium 1.8Ghz is the same processor
overclocking is running the component in this case the cpu out of specs
how many overclock a cpu can handle before freezing up varies alot
and can shorten it's lifespan and give alot shorter battery lenght
since the price is droping very fast of the S4 i want to buy one... but i play alot... and i want a phone that is faster... at the same time and i want to be on future proof about gaming as i know the Octa-Cote GPU is more old than the Quad-Core Andreno 320... and the Adreno has better Future Proof im comming from a HTC DROID DNA... so i know that the GPU of the ADRENO 320 Can overclock at 550MHz even 600Mhz... and i know on the time some one will get out a kernel that can overlock the GPU or CPU and i repeat i want to on the phone...
Hard Gaming
Speed....
and Future Proof with the GPU... and hope it be the BEst GPU..
or Should i wait to see what can offer me on a Few Months as i know the ZTE with TEgra 4i will com in July or June i dont remeber...
Well i did 29k in benchmark with adam kernel the device is good exept the smearing issues that i hope samsung will fix

LOL? So everyone thinks that i9500 gpu is worse than adreno 320...Check out this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZegbcFRsMsA
As far as i am concerned, the difference between the two GPU is much insignificant than the difference between the two CPU. As you talk about future proof, you should know that game with a lot of AI are very CPU hungry, and the power of the A16 in the i9500 will crash the A9 qualcomm snapdragon.
You said yourself that you need a faster phone, well in every domain, the i9500 is faster than the i9505 except the insignificant GPU performance.
Talking about overclock, you know that galaxy s4 suffer from overheating whether i9500 or i9505, trying to overclock the gpu while the machin already suffers from overheating issue will destroy your device for sure. Ok let's imagin you can do this. Who knows that Samsung will not release new patch or software so that I9500 can activate all 8 cores so that it can gain a huge performance and have efficient battery.
After all, people buy what they like. Just give you my own opinion, hope that can help you deciding.
Anyone knows why all apps i downloaded (cpu-z, monitor cpu, setcpu) only show max mhz at 1300?
i have a sm-g900h with arm15 cortex r2p3 , i understand that is an octa core with 4 cores at 2.1 ghz and 4 at 1.5
It is a phone problem or all these app don´t support the system?

It's likely most app do no "fully" support this new octa-core. I would suspect they only show the little CPU 4 cores @ 1.5GHz, however seeing 1.3GHz as the max is weird. In S4 octa-core, the max frequencies was used by both CPUs and frequencies below 600Mhz where meant to be used by little core (600Mhz being 1.2GHz on the little CPU, 700Mhz being exactly that on the big CPU), so there might be some similar tricks on the new S5. This would mean the kernel would only show 4 cores at any point in time.
Have you tried Android Tuner, it can adapt to any number of cores automatically (a little down arrow allows to switch to multi-core control) ? If you try it, can you post a screenshot here? I intend to buy the Galaxy S5 with 8 cores for testing purposes, so I'd be interested by first-hand screenshots, if any. You can check and post screenshots of the main CPU tab and also the Times tab which will show available cores timings for each frequencies.
I need answers from hardware specialists rather than software specialists.
I am trying to overclock my Galaxy S4 9505 GPU (Adreno 320) as much as possible. All I know that I need to keep an eye on temperature and NOT to increase it over 90C (to be safe).
But I noticed that I have the only one temperature sensor in galaxy S4..? is it only for CPU, or both - GPU and CPU?
I see it masivelly increases when my CPU is running at frequency of 2160mhz, but when I overclocked my GPU from 450mhz to 545mhz I didn't notice any bigger temperature increasing. Only a better score in benchmarks
My BIG comment in other overclocking for gaming thread with all information what I was trying to do etc : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53975711&postcount=27
I've been using XBMC on the FireTV fairly successfully but wished it was a bit snappier. Thinking back to my days with the Galaxy S3, I remembered a great app called Seeder.
From the Play Store listing:
Seeder is a service for root users. It assists the kernel in "topping off" the entropy pool by re-seeding it with data from the non-blocking (high performance) random device. Optionally, it can also help alleviate MMC I/O contention by extending the I/O queue, allowing the I/O scheduler to make better decisions, and combine more writes.
After installing and enabling the moderate option on my FireTV, XBMC loads faster and navigates through menus much smoother. An essential app and well worth the purchase in my opinion.
Setup:
Root your FireTV (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2783805)
Install Google Play Store (http://www.aftvnews.com/how-to-install-the-google-play-store-on-the-amazon-fire-tv/)
Download Seeder (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lcis.seeder&hl=en)
Give Seeder root permissions
Select Start on Boot
Choose Moderate
Profit!
Seeder ($2.50) - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lcis.seeder&hl=en
Thanks for your tip. Does Anyone else recommends it? I am quite satisfied with the firetv performance but i am all forward with improvements

It does boost performance, even with my "overclocked" settings already made.
I quote it because I can't actually overclock the Fire TV because the lack of unlocked bootloader.
I can only change governor types to "Performance" on GPU,and "interactive" on all four CPU cores to boost them a bit.
I also have two booster apps for visual and touch performance increases, which prove to work really well.
I want to OC the GPU to a minimum 400Mhz and maximum 500Mhz to match the stronger equivalent GPU's 450Mhz and 550Mhz OC settings.
Maybe also get the CPUs on at least 1.9 Ghz or 2.0Ghz as the maximum with 500Mhz as the forced minimum.
When bootloader unlocking is possible,I want to find a fix for the kernel panic rebooting issue with Reicast caused by instability with certain Android ROMs.

Nothing...NOTHING about what you're doing is even remotely considered overclocking....
OC is pushing hardware past it's max performance out of the box or standard state. CPU's downclock themselves for power savings. You telling it to run at a different minimum isn't OC'ing, you're just telling it to not downclock itself so far.

Lighten up. In case you missed it he said he can't overclock and even pointed out his use of quotes.
If you want to be nit picky overclocking is not pushing hardware past it's max performance but TO it. Overclocking takes the hardware past factory spec, which you could call "standard state" but that is never near the max. It is set for stability and longevity not necessarily the fastest performance.
Intel used to push a new chip until it crashed then dropped it a notch and called it XGHz. It's why overclocking was so limited without changing voltage and needing extra and even extreme cooling. AMD always designed a chip to have plenty of room to grow and why they support overclocking and enabling extra cores.
AMD now has some extremely powerful multicore CPU processors up to 5.0Ghz!
It's called AMD FX-9590.
Beat that,intel!
Confirmed. . Seeder 2.0 actually does speed up the just about everything from watching streaming movies to using XBMC, except your Internet. . Highly recommended. Use the setting above and trickster mod.

intel destroys amd! and thats a fact! a 4.4 ghz i7 would still beat that 5 ghz amd in benchmarks! so its already been done

Not to go further off topic but benchmarks mean literally squat VS real world use.
