Title. A lot of games on market are gone and when I search them, it says this device isn't compatible. Wtf? Anyone else getting this?
did you edit build.prop? like device name or density?

Changing the LCD density does that. I found that out a while back. Its a shame it looks so good when everything is small

Hello all
Is it possible to stop the timeout when you hold the touchscreen down too long in one place which I believe is the water droplet feature?

Seconded.

+1. It's extremely annoying in emulators and games such as Jet Car Stunts.
No dev knows? come on people please

The search button is up there^^, top right!
If you are talking about the screen timeout, you can always download and use the screenon widget from the market...

i can't be hassled to find the post, but i remember reading in the CM7 thread a developer stating the raindrop feature of our phones is in the PDS partition, which isn't touched by anyone since it's one of the parts in our software that can cause hard bricking if something is done wrong.
so, until a workaround is found or a change is released by Motorola, we're stuck with it.

Hey
I have a generic 7" Android 4.0 tablet and I want it to report itself to the Play Store as a Nexus 7, this way more applications are visible. How do I do this?
Thanks.

Sorry about that. I should have stated that I know its changing the build.prop but what parameters and values do I have to change it to? And what If I want another device instead of the Nexus 7? Is there a list?
Thanks
320dpi is too big for my tastes.
I prefer 268dpi for more densely packed info while keeping ui elements close to center.
But! Whenever I want to search for apps, I need to set dpi to 320, reboot, clear market data and then open it to shop as I please.
Is there any workaround I'm missing? Anyway to keep a custom dpi while still keeping compatibility?
Please and thank you.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/...DEwMiwiY29tLmJpcmRhcGkuYW5kcm9pZC5kcGlwcm8iXQ.. not sure if it works on the N4 but thats how we used to do it on the GN when we wanted market compatibility with a different dpi. there is also a manual way to do it (google it)

Could you elaborate on the second method? Is there any way to do it without a modded play store app?
When I Google, all I'm finding are results to change product/device name so other devices can have same compatibility as Nexus devices.

Try Paranoid Android?
Siri Proxy allows you to control additional devices with a Siri device. So I thought there must be something similar available for Android.:fingers-crossed:So we can also control our garages with Android devices

Can't this be done with Google Now? Seems like it would be a feature.

I have been wanting something like this as well.
To have an application to do this though, you would have to have two parts two it.
First part would be an app on your Android device, and the other part would be something that runs on a computer @ the house.
Reason for this is because you would want a secure connection between your phone and the app. Otherwise, anyone/everyone would be able to access your home automation system.
If there is anything like this, that would be awesome, but I don't think there is
The closest thing you can get to it is HomeSeer, but it isn't voice activated. It's only buttons.
If anyone knows of a program that would do voice activation home automation, please let me know!
hello there got my nexus yesterday it's rooted currently using xylon ROM but the problem is most of the Google apps don't support my nexus. can anyone tell me why is that happening. also I changed my LCD density to 292. can that be a issue with play store.

yes, it is the issue.
Change back to 320 dpi.
I personally havent tried this but you can check it out:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=37326035
whenever you change display density you have to go through a process to make the play store work. i believe xylon guides you through these steps under their xylon settings. maybe under general or user interface, but those are just guesses but i know its somewhere
well thanks very much guys but I also figured out that clearing market data also helps a bit.I mean those app shows supported for a while then turned back to not supported. I'm gonna try that play store DPI fix tool then will report back here.
thanks again
