Hi, I flashed the Cm7 2/8/12 barebones and noticed something with Androzip app. The background is black and I guess the text is black too so I can't read any of the text. I've been looking for solutions but I don't know how to fix it. Anyone have any ideas?
Had the same issue with RootCheck but it was fixed when I went into CyanogenMod -> Performance -> Use 16bit transperency (disable)

Hello all. First time posting.
I recently flashed by phone to the Custel 2.5 rom. I'm liking it very much. The only problem I having is that I am not able to change the Today background. I have tried changing it from the Today settings window and also by trying to set a picture as the Today background through File Explorer.
The background also will not change when I try changing the theme.
Any suggestions?
Ok, so after changing the background and rebooting the phone by completely shutting down the phone and restarting... The plot thickens...
... the background will also change when I slide the phone open...
guess there is a bug in the rom or a software you installed is causing the problem? I had that problem on a rom, cant remember which one it was but i just use tnt v2 now
I moved to CM7 (stable) running from the SD card (SanDisk 16GB C4).
I've notice a few apps that have white backgrounds bleeding white onto overlays. Not completely, sometimes just lines.
So far - Aldiko menu, Kindle app menu, FBReader selection menu and Pulse thumbnails.
Has anyone else seen this issue? possible solution?
I would appreciate if you could point me in the right direction.
I've removed and re-installed the offending apps. No change.
Also tried turning off compatibility mode. Nothing.
Thank you in advance!
*added a picture for clarification
This is a picture of the overlay issue I've been experiencing.
It shows Aldiko in day mood; returns to normal in night mode -very curious.
Any fix? or should I just start over?
i just updated my xylon to 2.7 from 2.4 and i have noticed that my nagivation bar has become transparent instead of black. it's very distracting.
is it a new thing of xylon? or bug? any way to make it black again? i've tried the XY setting but i found nothing can change it.
edit: sorry, found out there is a new option in the setting. problem solved.

settings > xye tools > status extra > set navigation bar color to black
if that doesnt work, check your "transparency settings", i have clicked "link..." and "match..."...but i'm not sure if that have any effect to it.
hope it helps
HI all,
So I'm at a loss and hoping someone could point me in the right direction. Installed Alliance ROM onto my Verizon Note 3. So far I'm quite impressed with the ability to customize so many aspects of the interface. But my noob status working with android is causing me to get confused. I'm encountering a UI element that is used in popup menus that currently is displaying white text on a light grey background (as seen in the attached images) Could someone show me where to find the adjustment to change that UI element is?
Also I was a fan of the ability to swipe and launch the camera on the Stock ROM, but I was able to set my preferred app on stock. Don't see anything listed under Default Applications, also when I look at the stock camera's App Info, the Clear defaults button is greyed out. I'm unable to choose which app I want to launch since installing this ROM. I found a workaround by setting Shortcuts to Custom and selecting my app that way, but I liked the Stock ROM's grey button as opposed to using the apps actual icon.
Thanks for any help you can send my way,
Josh
Anyone have any ideas about the grey background. I'd appreciate any help, thanks

In AllianceRom Custom Settings under Colors, go to Background -> System and you can change the background of most system apps/menus, it is a universal change but you can enable/disable apps effected in the Whitelist menu.
Thanks for the idea! I'm trying but still can't seem to get that gray background to change. Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

You could try wiping cache/davlik in SS, or try flashing a theme like All Backs Black. Other than that the only other thing I can think of is wiping/flashing the rom and starting over but that seems like overkill.
From what I know, I asked the same question in the ROM thread and the answer was this is a bug they are gonna have fixed in Build 2.
Thank you so much guys for the ideas and info. I was going crazy trying different combos of settings to get it to change. I'll look into trying a theme. I was already flirting with the idea of having to try doing a full reinstallation. But if its a known bug I can deal with it, the benefits of using this ROM so outweigh the annoyance of the grey menus. Thanks again!
After using the phone for a while a strange problem occurs. The widgets turn black but if you tap on them, they work. Just on home screen they look black.
If you enter to the Apps menu and try to edit any page (try to move an icon for ex) there is going to be a distortion at the background like color changing or instead of the background,
there will be a stretched icon of an application.
I have attached some screenshots for you to see.
Also a temporary solution to this problem that i found is to restart TouchWiz with an application i found on Play Store.
The name of the app is TouchWiz Killer.
Is there a permanent solution to this annoying problem that anyone has found?
