[Q] HD2 Bricked! please help!! - HD2 General

i searched and searched all over xda but no thread could give any definite answer.
here's a summary of my problem:
I've been using android on my phone through NAND for quite a while, but the "tinkerish" part of me wanted to try windows phone 7 for a while. i "had" spl 2.08 and the correct radio, magloader also installed. but the problem was that i needed to perform task29 from hd2 toolkit but my phone wasn't being detected by pc...giving he "qualcomm driver" thingy....so i figured flashing a stock win 6.5 from sd card will make an easy alternative task 29 wipe then use active sync and reinstall hd2 driver....i tried the 3.14 wwe rom but it failed and now my phone is stuck at bootloader....can't DO ANYTHING!
it gives:
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-3.03.0000 XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(touch) 0x30
please don't ask me to search and stuff...i'm kinda desperate now :/

If it still boots it's not bricked. Try installing the stock ROM for that phone.

When in color bar screen, does it say USB when plug to computer?
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium

i have the same problem!
and yes my hd2 says USB when plugged to computer

If you have "usb" at the bottom why not try and install stock Rom via RUU.exe,
If that fails you can always try sd flash of stock wimmo again,
If that fails try and install hspl, magldr and flash through clockwork mod,
Good luck!

Very fustrating!
i have a huge issue whenever i try to use the SD card method it comes up with RSA_FAIL. when i try and use the ruu way. it just stays at 0 - 1% and doesnt respond. i have no idea what to do since i am a huge HTC noob. (ive always had iphones)

Your HD2 isn't bricked. At least yet .
Try to install HSPL4 made by Cottula.
Here is link for HSPL4 thread.
I was in the same situation few days ago when I flashed original rom from htc website using SD card method. It flashed new SPL 3.03 on my HD2 but the problem why it havent flashed WinMo OS was that the vendor ID of device didnt matched to software Vendor ID. But that will not cause device brick. So by using HSPL4 installer you can either flash new HSPL4 or you can downgrade SPL to 2.08 or whatever your choise is and it install HSPL aswell what makes your phone ready to install any official or cooked Roms.
And if you want to do task 29 using MTTY try to use Windows XP if you can or install different drivers for HTC Activesync if you are using WinVista or 7. You can find everything herehere

Stuck at bootscreen! (Solved)

9
Hey all,
A friend of mine tried to install android on his HD2.
After installing HSPL it worked fine.
But after flashing MAGLDR the phone gets stuck at the HTC bootscreen.
And I cant get the phone connected to activesync
What did I try:
1. Hard Reset
2. Using a stock rom RUU (ruu_signed.nbh)to flash like this:
a)Formatting the sd card to fat32(16GB)
b)Putting ruu_signed.nbh on the sd card and renaming it to leoimg.nbh.
(I tried the Unbranded and the NLD RUU)
c)Turning phone on with vol down.
After the thrid step (c) I get on a screen that says "Loading..." but after 30 minuts nothing happen.
Anyone! What do I need to do?
Greetz,
Michka
BTW i got my ruu_signed.nbh files from the %temp% folder of the RUU installer.exe
This is what he gets on the tripel color screen.

The SD card should be freshly formatted, FAT32 format.
It´s not easy to find out what went wrong with MAGLDR.
Did you use the latest version, 1.13?
What HSPL and what Radio ROM version were on the device?
And finally, do you still get into the bootloader screen (vol. down + power),
what does it say in there?

Yes i used the latesd version o MAGLDR,
HSPL 3
Radio dont remember
Yes i can get in the bootloaderscreen.
Well, then please provide as much information as possible.
It´s really hard or even impossible to help without more information.
It´s a bit like: My car is broken. What should I do?
"A stock ROM" is very tight information...
For your reference, flashing through SD card deletes HSPL, that´s why I asked
what the bootscreen information says...

See, the information you posted is helpful indeed.
You still have SPL 2.08.0000 on your device instead of 2.08.HSPL. On the other hand, I still don´t know what your original ROM was.
Please try to re-install with HSPL3.exe, and please make sure to install the correct Radio ROM in case you don´t have it yet, should be 2.15.50.14.
Both items are required to run MAGLDR properly.
If your attempt to flash a stock ROM failed, then something else was wrong.
There are known problems flashing with 8GB, or greater, SD Cards.
Put the phone into Bootloader Mode and then connect to the PC.
Run HSPL3 and select 2.08.HSPL
Put the phone into Bootloader Mode and then connect to the PC.
Download and flash the RADIO 2.15.50.14.
Put the phone into Bootloader Mode and then connect to the PC.
Now you are ready to go through the MAGLDR instructions and NANDRIOD flashing.

Thanks for adding that hint, I keep forgetting this very fact.
I do have the 2GB card which came with the device ready for flashing purposes... it was even my Goldcard at very early stages.
Oke thx for the replies.
I will try it tonight!

Thank you guys.
The problem was hspl.
Because of the sd card (i think) hspl wasnt flashed right. So i couldnt install a radio or get magldr working. Now i reinstalled hspl and i can do anything.
So what i did in short:
1. Reinstalled hspl 3.00 with a 2gb sd.
2. Flashed the right radio.
3. So now magldr was working
4. Flashed the nld stock rom(to be 100% sure everyting works).
5. Reflashed magldr 1.03 again.
6. Flashed an android disre hd rom (standard nand rom doesnt seem to work).
7. We are happy everything works.
Thx again!

plz help me :(

hello, maybe some1 from here can help me... i think my phone is bricked!
when i boot my phone, it only gives HTC logo and nothing else..
i did a soft and hard reset and now able to get into that bootloader thingy with volume down and on button.. but now i am stuck,
i tought just installing original software would help, but it doesnt install it!
In bootloader do you have hspl installed. To load magldr in order to run a NAND Android rom, you need 2.08.hspl and a 50 series radio, 2.08.50 or higher.
Why can't you flash a rom in bootloader, what errors do you get? Just connect phone in bootloader to your pc and when "usb" shows on screen flash the rom.
What did you do???

Can you provide more details:
what phone do you have (HD2 Europe, TMOUS, etc)?
What is currently running on it (or supposed to be, look at how I list my current phone in my signature for how to tell us what you are running)?
What got you in this predicament (flashing rom, radio, adding apps, themes, etc)?
What "original software" are you trying use that's not helping?
How are you trying to install that "original software"?
i tried original version:
RUU_Leo_HTC_NLD_1.66.404.1_Radio_Signed_15.30.50.07U_2.06.51.07_Ship
and

You have 2.08.0000 - you HAVE to have 2.08.hspl to install magldr.
Are you sure those roms are the original roms for your device? You need to download the orignal rom from HTC for your area using your S/N
i tried to install android, so i downgraded to RUU_Leo_HTC_NLD_1.66.404.1_Radio_Signed_15.30.50.07U_2.06.51.07_Ship
next installed
HSPL2_RUN
next to this it didnt do anything,
now i reinstalled HSPL2_run and that worked it said hacked

Yes, but when you run hspl2 you can select either 2.08.0000 or 2.08.hspl in the drop down. You have to select 2.08.hspl NOT 2.08.0000. Also your radio is now 2.06.51.07, you have to flash to a 50 series radio (not 51 as you have) and it has to be 2.08.50 or higher as I have already said.
oke now i have hspl version, and succesfully installed MGLDR111, trying to instal android, it sais this:
Error happen
Read below for more information
Error Description: USB init failed
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (723)
Error Description: wait marker fails
Info: .\RSPL\BootLoader.cpp (225)

that was the first thing you needed to get done, hardspl is very important, now that you got the hacked it message HSPL is in, go into bootloader and check that it says HSPL, upgrade your radio to a 2.15.50.14, do a task 29, install MGLDR and then flash whatever nand rom you want.
From Noob Guide to installing NAND roms FAQ:
Not able to make a usb connection to the phone when in Magldr
Error Description: USB init failed
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (723)
Go to the Activesync icon in the bottom right corner, right click on it and untick the option "Allow usb connections" and then connect the device again. Run daf.exe (or install.exe) as administrator by right clicking on it and selecting the option (if using Windows7 or Vista). Hopefully the usb drivers will then install and the Android Rom will flash.
Another option could be to uninstall and reinstall Activesync or to try different usb ports on your pc. If that doesnt work and you have Windows XP then you need to try on a machine with Vista or Windows 7.
If none of this works then try taking out your micro SD Card and repeating the process or flash a Custom Rom before you flash Magldr rather than a Stock Rom.
Lastly you could try starting the NAND installer with the phone unplugged and then plugged the phone in. The installer should immediately detect your device and proceed to flash.

[Q] Install hspl on on spl3.03 problem (pb81***)

HI guys
Last week I received one hd2 tmobile-us from my friend. He got stuck when he was trying to install android.
Currently he's stuck at the t-mobile screen, so I tried to do the power+volume down key and here's the result:
Security Unlocked
--------------------------
PB81*** SS-B3
SPL-3.03.0000 XE
MicroP(LED) 0x50
MicroP(TOUCH) 0x50
I'm aware that this is the new fone with spl3.03 on it. So here what I tried:
I tried to use hspl4 and install spl2.08 instead of 3.03 on it, and hspl gives me a error (code 0000000D)
I tried to download a old stock rom (LEO_RUU_1_5_TMOUS_2.10.531.0_Radio_2.08.50) and copy to the SD-CARd (8g), but it stuck at the white screen with the "loading...." text
I tried to install the rom by the bootscreen, does not work.
I tried to install MAGLD on spl3.03 anyway, and as expected, it did not work.
I myself do have another hd2 that's running android NAND on it, and I already spent 3 days searching the forum but I can find any answer on my problem. I'm running out of option and dont know what to do next.
Please help
What error does HSPL4 give you exactly?

Stuck in bootloader

Help I am stuck in bootloader. i flashed a tmo us rom on my tmobile hd2 and now i am stuck in the bootloader. the spl changed when i flashed and does after i put hardspl again. Can somebody help me and i have triied installing through sd card and usb.
Are you sure your HD2 is a tmous or eu. If it's call and end buttons are red, it's a TMOUS.
How did you flash the rom. By SD card or by PC via RUU?
Yes it is us because I bought it from T-Mobile and I tried flashing both ways
But, you didn't explain how did you get stuck in boot loader. Didn't you pull the battery?
i pulle dthe battery and put it back in and it still boots into boot loader
i got stuck in boot loader by downgrading from android to wm 6.5
You are telling that your device boots into bootloader pressing the power button and does not perform a normal boot. If so, please state the name of the ROM you flashed and the output of the tri-colour screen.
i flashed the 3.14 one from the official too website
i meant tmobile website
What does the tri-colour screen say?
it says
PB81120 SS-b3
SPl-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
0x05
Cotulla HSPL 0x40
Does the blue colured row say "rom update code" failed. The output you wrote and nothing is wrong with the bootloader and it is normal. I just can't find the cause of it.
Do not waste your time searching for a solution
I've been through the same problem since more than a year and lost a lot of time to solve this problem and I did not find a solution through the Internet
Everything seems sound, but you always boot to bootloader.
it asks for qualcom cmda drivers
you should probably do a factory reset on the phone

i have the same problem. Just bought today a HTC HD 2 here in Portugal, it is factory unlocked, it brought Android ICS in it, i downloaded PTG latest ROM and rename to leoimg.nbh. it stopped updating, and now i can't do HSPL4 'cause i am on SPL 3.03.0000
and it appears the following on tri-color screen:
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-3.03.0000 XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(TOUCH) 0x30
please give me a solution for this problem, please
To fix it, search xda for mtty.exe, than perform task 29 and than task 2a and than task 8, than reboot to 3 color screen again and install oficial ruu wince rom

Just flash a stock ROM from the bootloader (using your PC and a micro USB cable). If you need stock SPL then you'd have to either flash that separately or flash a ROM via your SD card.
Could someone kind enough to explain how to flash a ROM via the SD Card please? When I try flashing a stock ROM from windows, it always says the HD2 is not connected to the computer through USB but the HD2 itself on the white area already said it's in USB mode, thanks.
By the way, my HD2 was flashed to Android ROM before and it had a startup " 1e FATAL HIT" problem.
I have successfully flashed task 29. Now my next step is to flash the stock rom, and since my computer's hard drive went dead a few months ago I have lost all my "tools" that I downloaded when flashing the HD2 from WINMO to Android.
Looks like the desktop somehow doesn't connect to the HD2 after the task29 flash. On the bootloader screen it says
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x40
Much appreciated for any help.
