Couple questions about Cynogen and settings.

Hi, I am currently running Cynogen 4.0.4 on my rooted Mytouch 3g. I used the one-click method to root it. I also downloaded the 4.1.11.1 to my computer just incase. Do you guys think I should go to the 4.1? Is is the same? How do I upgrade and will I lose all of my apps if I upgrade?
I was also considering to just go back to stock because Cynogen got stopped. Will Cynogen ever be making new Roms? If not should I be going back to stock because I just want to have the newest features and updates but still have a fast phone.
Just one more question now about settings, I have the Hero keyboard but I activated the touch vibration when I type and now I want to disable it. Everytime I disable it I start typing and it comes back. How can I fix this? Thank you.

You can't upgrade to Cyan 4.1 at the moment as he has taken his downloads offline because of the legal dispute with Google.
I would recommend RogersRom 1.5 (see my signature) if you want a fast rom with Cyan's kernel, compcache, betterbrower etc. personally I would not go back to stock as the mods made by the devs here at xda are worth keeping.
Not sure about your keyboard vibrating ... have you enabled haptic feedback in Spare Parts? You might need to turn it off in there as well as in the touch input settings.

Haptic feedback is DISABLED so I don't know what the problem is. I will just uninstall and reinsatll the hero keyboard. And just to be sure Cynogen is done completely with roms? If so are there any other good roms besides Rogers that are not hero. And how do you install a new rom on top of the Cynogen one I have? Thanks for you help.

to change roms just wipe and flash over it. as for Cyanogen I don't think he's stopping anytime soon. check out his website..cyanogenmod.com

he's still in full force.

There are several ways to get the cyanogen roms =P... Just do some search =P...

push the far right button on your phone and type "Cyanogen"

install cyanogen updater for the market and it still works
Install cyanogen updater from the market and it still upload the new roms if you want cyanogen 4.1.11.1 you will have to change in the setting to display experimental roms he has a new one out but it not in cyanogen update i just did this and all my apps wallpaper and contacts are still there

[Q] Why doesn't metamorph work for me?

I have been trying for a few days to apply this theme http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=841960 ... but with no luck. jakubek1994 doesn't seem to be giving much help to others either. I was wondering if anyone has got this to work and if so how?
I have Quarx ROM, Root, Superuser, Metamorph and busybox all installed.

I have no idea why it doesent work, but im in the exactly same position, and its still a no-no for me

Its just very frustrating as people are posting the GT540 metamorphs but people who have the GT540 can't get them to work. I would love it if someone could post a tutorial on how they achieved success in metamorphing the GT540 cause i aint getting anywhere.

I am using a nightly version of CM7 in ZTE BLADE and heared CM has been updated to 7.0.2 stable and now 7.0.3... how can i update this??? wat is the link for that?? can u also tell me the process of how to do?? thanks in advance... Hope to get a response soon..

Hello all.... can i get some assistance please???

ROM Manager should make your life a little easier.
Install ROM Manager, start it up, make sure that you RTFM.
To save yourself from making unrecoverable mistakes, search the forum for "nandroid backup" and do one before you start messing about with updating your ROM. You might want to investigate Titanium Backup so that your installed programs and data can be reloaded after a wipe.

Or:
Download 7.0.3, like you probably downloaded your nightly build, and flash it on CWR (ClockWork Recovery).
You'll probably need to convert your Gen (I had to), for that I used a thing called CM7 Universal Converter, worked for me, should work for you. Download it, put it into your SD card (like CM) and then install CM and after CM install the converter.

[Q] after installing snd3254 no root is available

hi all i am using mdj rom 3.0.3 and after installed snd3254 on it no more root so please can someone help me?

How did you install Snd3254? Do you still have the Superuser app?

i installed it from recovery yes i still have superuser app but i think for a reasone its stopped working.

i also tryed it on seo rom and i got the same no root.the strange that i used it before on mdj rom and it was working good and the root also was good.i think it was 2.9.
