What is it that you are trying to install
i am trying to install
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=759990
it is a theme and it comes on the HyperDROID ROM so i know it works on the HD2
may i ask you reedit the title [HOWTO] -> [Q]
I think we cannot do it yet with our hd2s...You can only change the theme now by installing framework.apk. but I think getting the framework.apk from that zip directly won't work either...tried that before.

You should see if the theme is metamorph capable!
metamorph?
Its an app that allows you to add themes with out flashing. The themes just have to be compatible

i also want to know how to do this.
I'm trying to figure this out as well. I'm trying to install this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=754961
I'm hoping it will let me connect to an ad hoc network on mattc's sense 1.7 build.
Hello peoples.
I'm new here, and sorry for my bad language =).
I am facing an issue with installing the live wallpaper in my htc wildfire. I have already go thru some similar threads actually, but I still decided to open a new thread to state my problem clearly. I'm sorry if I'm wrong to do so =).
I've actually found a nexus one live wallpaper ( with I'm desperating for ) in this forum. However, after I installed the .apk file, nothing happen. I have tried to launch it from astro file manager and it says "Activity not found".
At home screen, I choose to change wallpaper, and the live wallpaper doesnt appear there. Same goes to home, htc sense and my lovely ADW launcher.
I have seen people using that livewallpaper in youtube videos, so it should be usable for wildfire right? What is wrong?
Your replies and views are greatly appreciated =). Thank you
If you're using stock ROM, Live wallpappers are not supported. They are supported in custom ROMs.
and finally there's a reply from you guys T_T.
thank you so much buddy.
stock rom means, the original rom comes with purchase? ( i guess so ).
thanks for your info =)
Yes indeed, stock = original rom.
If load a custom rom to my phone & don't like it, would I able to load the stock rom??

I doubt froyo would add live wallpapers. By the way why are there no lwp on the wildfire? the hero has them with 2.1 and that has nearly the same cpu
Hello,
Recently I installed shubCRAFT 2.0 on my HD2, loving it so far. Only one issue though.
It came with an app called ROM Manager and looking around online I found out you can 'flash' custom themes using this, I've seen some really nice ones I'd like to test out but for the life of me I can't figure out how to work ROM Manager on an HD2!
So if anyone could point me to a guide where I could find this out/give me some steps to follow I would be very grateful.
Thanks.
No one knows how to install themes on a cyanogen mod android build?

Hi @ all,
Since it s not really dev thread, i post it here.
I need to custiomize my rom and i do not know if it is really possible.
i explain : i m actually on a 2.1 rom and i have seen some thing in other roms that i would like to add :
the froyo type dialer.
the car dock mod
the clock mod.
I dunno if these things really need froyo to work.
i have tryed to get the pak and add them by copy but did not succeeded.
Thanks for all your help.
For customizations of almost any kind you'll have to root your phone first. Check this out
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746
You will need froyo for all of those mods. Root your phone, install XRecovery, flash any 2.2 ROM (I think all of them contain everything you want) and then you can further customize anything else you want.
