Well my droid x today died and when i plug my phone into my laptop to charge ( dont have a wall adapter) it will automatically boot into Bootloader. With this happening my phone wont charge it says :
Bootloader
30.04
Battery low
Cannot Program
So while in bootloader it wont charge and i cant get around the bootloader because, im assuming the battery is too low to let me do anything.
This all while its plugged into my computer, green light on my phone is on as though its charging but its not charging.
Please help
You can't do any troubleshooting with a low battery.
What I did was grab a camera charger that plugs into the wall, the kind you place the battery IN and plug into the wall. Figure out what was negative, positive, and the signal, and wire it up.
I used speaker cable and taped it onto the battery so it would stay.
It's not the best way to charge the battery by any means because a camera and cell battery charge different, different volts and amps, but it gets the job done. Also, make sure the camera charger is a Lithium Ion Charger.
Got me out of that pickle a couple times
Once you get it charged, you can further troubleshooting this problem.
Do your self a favor go by the wall charger then charge you battery back to 100% the flash ur phone with rsd lite 4.9 that will fix your problem.

I have a MDA that had it's battery die durring a reflash. Yes I know me=dumbass. I have since jumpstarted the battery and the phone will boot to the recovery screen.
This is a phone I got off craigslist cheep for my son...to break him into the winmo cell phones. I know I could just buy another battery but I really dont want to throw more money into this. Plus the wife is pissed that I may have bought a junk phone.
Unfortunatly I am unable to charge the battery enough to complete a full reflash without the battery running out of juice.
If a phone has no "OS" installed on it, will it still be able to recharge a battery? If it has no drivers...will it know it has a recharging circuit?
I am trying to charge the batt unsing the usb cable and taping the red/black to +/- respectively. Will thgis eventually charge the batt? Or are the charge points different than the +/- as marked on the battery?
Any help is apreciated.
Yes, I think what you've done will eventually charge the battery.
It may take while since USB is only 500mA.
Does the charge indicator illuminate orange when you plug in the phone? If so, that means it is charging the battery.
I'm not sure if it will charge with no OS or not. Sometimes a weak (~800mA) charger requires the phone to be able to boot before it will charge. Phones that are more dead usually require the OEM 1200mA charger.
ur mobile will charge without an OS...the Orange Led should glow even if the phone is switched off...but charging thru USB may be inadequate...use wall charger....
Hi,
My wizard main battery (wiza16) was very low and the wizard stop with a message “The internal battery is very low”. After coming back home I have tried to charge but it is not taking charge and didn’t turn on anymore. I recently bought a new battery (wiza16, 3.7 VDC, 1250 mAH) thinking that it will work again but still the same problem, wizard is not taking charge or turn on.
Can anyone help me?? What can I do to start my wizard? Do I need to change the tiny little battery (which is inside the wizard)? Kindly help me.
Wizard service manual
Hi,
See if when you connect the power plug the led turns red, if yes....
If Charge light is red when plug in AC adapter, it means the main battery is not charge enough and can’t power on,
You just need to continue charge unit the light become Amber
If not, i think you have a problem.
Check if charger its working and if its pluged.

Wizard Battery discharge completely
Hi,
Thanks for quick reply. there is no light when i connect my wizard with PC. I don't have the AC charger, I have lost that for long and was using my PC usb to charge. trying to get one AC charger.
There was no problem with my wizard, just can't turn on after it's battery discharge completely. Even the new battery couldn't turn that on.
You'll need the original charger if the battery has complelty discharged as it will only charge from the computer if the phone is powered on.
This happened to me before.
There is a trick to giving the battery a quick charge which will give it enough juice to boot the phone up and allow it to charge from usb. its not recommended but works.
You will need a spare usb cable, cut one end of, strip the wires back and connect the red wire to + and the black to - on the battery, only do it for a short period, about 30 seconds while conneted to your computer.
You may need to give it a few 30 second bursts to give it enough juice.
Pop the battery back into the phone and switch it on while pugged into the PC
Took me a few attempts to get enough charge in the battery for it to boot up.
Wizard battery
You can also use a 9V battery to jumpstart your battery. But then you have to be more careful. I connected the 9v battery to my Wizard battery for about 15 seconds, then tried to start up my device. If not successful I started again with 15 seconds jumpstart..
But you can find more information here in the forum: just search for jumpstart or something similar....

Wizard Battery discharge completely
Thank you all for information. 9V battery method didn't work for me. Looking for AC charger online and get a link (http://www2.dustin.se/pd_5010073700.aspx). Do you think this is the right one? If yes, then I can order.
yea that's the right one but if you have a friend with a ppc or maybe a razor you can use there charger most ac adapters are starting to use mini usb just a way of saving some money even though having an ac adapter is good
could also try and get one of those usb plugs that you can plug up to a wall and plug in a usb cable into the slot
but don't take my word for this wit hmy wizard i haven't had it shut all the way day
if anybody can verify this would work
AC charger not also working
I have got the AC charger yesterday. When Connect the Ac charger first time the red light on my wizard showed for just half second then dissappear. Still let that connected for whole night but no response.
Thank you all for help.
@Keland44, most Razr chargers dont work, they MUST be at least 850mA in order for the Wizard's battery to receive anything. The older Razr chargers are sometimes as low as 350mA, but the never ones are as high as 1.2A, so you need to read the label on the charger itself to be sure.

Yup that is about right,
If the battery is complelty dead, then you need to original charger.
If you have got the right charger and you get a red light and it goes off. your phone might have a problem.
This happened to my last wizard after stupidly trying to dry out the screen after getting it wet which stopped the touchscreen working (i was drying it out while the phone was still on) well my wizard crashed.
Took ages to get it back on but it was very unreliable then one day, it wouldnt go on and charger done nothing. Unpluging and pluging the charger in several times got a red light on.
Sometimes i could get it to turn on, the charger would charge for about 5 minutes then the phone would die soon after.
Your phone might possibly be bricked.
Help :
I Have Same Problem with my wizard
Yesterday my wizard goes died, i think the battery out
when i came home, i use AC Charger for HTC Universal, for 1st time its red light then off,
after 15 minutes orange light, i try to turn on my wizard and works but only in boot loader 5 minutes again its going off again
until now my wizard wont turn on
some body help
so i was using my phone like normal then all of a sudden it turned off. now evey time i try to turn it on it just turns itself off when it gets to the tmbile screen.... what do i do.
check for bent battery pins, if not that, take out the battery, plug in usb cable on wall charger not pc, and then insert the battery. it should try to charge without trying to start the phone. Let it charge for a few hours.
ok got it to turn on. but when i charge it the battery doesnt take a charge. i have the symbol and light but it isnt going up. as soon as i pull the cable it turns off. i think it might be the battery or a crappy charger. it isnt the stock one. also before this happened the charger would take forever to charge. on my buddies charger it would take about an hour for a full charge.... this is frustrating
ah yea, cheap charger, ive read where they seem to cause dodgy batteries. Does the charge light flash orange and green?
no steady orange
In my experience with HTC products, you HAVE to use either the stock charger or one that puts out 1 amp of current. Most 3rd part chargers put out like 500mA which is enough to charge the battery, just terrible slowly which reduces its overall life. Its just like if you exclusively use a USB port on your PC to charge your phone, it takes forever, and it will decrease battery life.
I have a very strange problem:
Yesterday my defy had about 50% of battery, and I left it charging. When I came back, the phone was off, and when I tried to boot it up it showed the typical charging screen showing 5%. Thinking it was a battery drain, I left it charging an hour or so, but it stayed at 5%.
I tried with other chargers, connecting it to the pc, but there's no way of charging it. I also tried charging it with this trick http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=892026 with no result.
I can get to recovery, but not past it, as it goes to the battery charging screen.
The weirdest thing is that connecting the peeled off usb cable directly to the battery connectors on the phone I can't boot the phone, so my guess is the phone can't take power from the battery connectors, only from the micro usb port..
At this point I want to send the phone to the tech service, because it is still in warranty, but I should flash the original sbf first. But I can't do this because the bootloader says cannot program battery low.
Can anyone help me?
Thank you if you read it all, and sorry for my english
Last night I put to charge my XT1563 with its motorola charger it dispolayed the message Turbo Charging as always. This morning phone was dead, no signs of charging or recharging whatsoever. After a while of having it connected to a "normal" charger it started again to charge, but hooking it up with turbo charger does nothing, I mean it simply ignores the fact that there is a cable hooked up. I have also noted that my computer no longer sees the phone, whereas before it always detected it and asked what to do with it.
Anybody has had the same problem? My guess is that the battery needs replacing as when I use my motorola charger on my wife phone it pops again the message "turbo charging"...
Any help is appreciated.

Switch your phone off at night and check your battery level the next morning. If the battery can keep his charge no replacement is needed and a factory reset could do the trick.
It does keep the battery level and already did 2 FR - still no turbo charge ,not recognized by PC.
Looking around for FL40 for a battery replacement but cant find one available .....
Personally, I think that a battery that doesn't charge on a certain charger, but can hold a charge once it is charged is not the principal suspect. Check the connector, the cable, the software, etc before replacing the battery.
