Hey just saying but won't it be better to not included 3rd party apps like netflix and firefox and let the user download those apps if they want to. Don't be a carrier. Don't push apps on to users.

Aye, may want to check with each app's developer as well, if only for legal safety. Google Apps, for example, aren't included with CM7 due to licensing issues. Come to think of it, definitely remove any 3rd party app not licensed for redistribution ASAP just to cover yourself until you can get permission from their respective owners.

Anyone else seeing this?
Love the ROM!
1. Unable to launch Firefox from the 59 build. FC
: Tried fixing permissions - failed
: Tried installing over the top - failed
2. I bought RIO from Amazon and now I am unable to update, as it requires me to uninstall first, which I am unable to do.
3. Is more of a question. Is there a compatible kernel with BLN support? I tried JTs from vanilla GB and I got caught in a boot loop

if this rom is having missed call issues, and you're using either jt's kernel or glitch kernel, then you're doing something very very wrong.

that's the commit. the fix is there. as i said before if you're still having the problem now, after it being fixed for months, then you messed something up.

aNoDo is the next major update (10.1) and will include-
Fixes to framework, fixes to the UI, *MAYBE* A new UI, remixed spare parts app, *MAYBE* A new launcher to go with the new UI but that's a maybe as well, update busybox to 1.19.0, adds JTs newest-ish kernel (GPS Fix one), adds Optimizers that run in the background running on Framework, Processes, and more, Blocks even more ads, *MAYBE* New font, definitely new boot animation, Fixes calls being kept to VM and not being notified bug, adds Clocker (background runner, will post what it does later), Xclocker (again will post what it does later), iXclocX runner (same as above), iXclockX Helper Service, Xclocker Helper Service, Clocker Helper Service, Android helper service (post later on what it does and doesn't do), iLogger (look below for all information)
Clocker Information-
Tends to pretty much clock at a super fast rate (threshold is 90% faster)
iLogger Information-
Pretty much just logs everything
Loggs from bootup to shutdown saved to the SD a Big Logcat.
iXclocker information -
Always clocks high to the low without

The LPB kernel has funky scrolling; you'll have to adjust the way you swipe, or get used to it.
It's slow on all Samsung leaked ICS ROMS.
I'm using it on andyX 5.2 and is very smooth. Rarely some slight cogging.

Have to agree with the above. I installed the stock xxlpb and I found it almost sticky like when scrolling and it was near impossible when the phone was flat on it's back. I then installed AndyX 5.2 today and it's near perfect so far.

Same here.
Using GoLauncher on 2.3.x for ages, no lag issues.
Though, IIRC it's on the S2 ICS that while TW has no lag, any other launcher will experience lag while scolling the homescreen.
No idea why, LBP didn't work at all for me, so I can't really try, I'm hoping for the next leak to come soon.
Flash the LP6 kernel to LPB to resolve the scrolling issue.

I don't see much of a performance improvement (I don't think there should be one, either), though if you do wipes anyway you're going to avoid a lot of slowdowns.
Shame about the new boot animation, though. I kinda dug the colorfulness of the last one. This is a little too bluish, wooshy, scifi looking, like a wonky portal effect from 10 years ago. Reminds me of the unfortunate tastes that gave the mod community a few too many Matrix themes.

You can change the boot animation back to the old one if you want to. The new alpha-5 boot animation caused me to have a seizure so I found the bootanimation.zip file and replaced the new one with the old one lol
Just get the bootanimation.zip file from one of the previous versions of CM9 (/system/media) and replace.

It's crazy what these guys have done.. I don't know if I could even replace my Epic 4G with anything that's out right now.. We have the only qwerty device on Android 4 on the planet.. ICS, Wimax, and an Overclocked hummingbird makes this phone arguably better than the Droid 4..
I don't know if it's just happening to me, but my phone's time is all over the place. The lock screen stays perfect, but the status bar one stays stuck & I have a widget that lags even longer!

Epic CM Team Blog: Flashable Bootanimations for Epic 4G
They work on CM7, CM9 and BML ROM's too!
Bad Things
-Color Scheme
-Launcher
-Error in Callender sync (only in some devices)(thanks to smashbox)(can be fixed by doing a full wipe/restore)
To Make it Good
-Use Nova Launcher (in 8x10 grid) (thanks to aletheus)
Seems somewhat more responsive than Honeycomb though (not with Touchwiz). But still testing.
The looks is according to one's taste, I suppose--I liked the (pure) ICS look on my Galaxy Nexus so have little complaints here on the 7.7, especially after I switch from Touchwiz to Nova Launcher (same on my Nexus).
Added screencap of my homescreen. (Nova Launcher, Suave HD icons, Simiclock Widget.)
I don't know what condition your tablet is, but mine is noticeably snappier.
Just like EVERY SINGLE DEVICE I HAVE UPDATED TO ICS from GB or HC base
- Nexus S
- Motorola Atrix
- Sony Tablet S

Yeah, it hit the forums yesterday morning. What a great un-birthday present from samsung!!!
On topic:
I am surprised to be loving touchwiz! Its certainly not lagging, the entire device is much faster. I draw using sketchbook pro and photoshop touch, so the "force gpu rendering" under settings>development seems to have even sped up drawing capabilities. Lag is barely noticeable, whereas before it was inhibitive.
As far as colors, OP, you mean color sceme for ICS?
I'm disappointed to see color banding in gradients still, thouh it does seem a little better now...

The Austrian ICS update does have TouchWiz. It's the new look of TouchWiz 5, as also seen on the Samsung Galaxy S III. There are many new features to explore under Apps and Widgets.
I've put on forced GPU rendering. Touchwiz still seems slightly (but still noticeably) laggy, albeit less than HC

yes its still in beta and one should also consider that our device is getting too old with 2gb RAM coming in trend..
Have it up. Great potential here. I cannot really say Swype is so much quicker but since this baby does groups of words, the delay multiplies and that becomes a problem. Swype's "keys" are larger, easier to use (same problem with TouchPal!) and it show more suggestions (could be a plus or a minus). Wonder if Paranoid options can improve the layouts. Problem with c/r vs smiley--filed as a bug.
Hats off to the devs at Swiftkey. Google took, possibly the same code, and tied it down to ARMv7. Disgusting. Swiftkey flow runs on our old clunkers just fine!
Nice keyboard but it takes up like 2/3 of our screen.

Key heights can be adjusted. Swype's sizes and layout, to me, is much easier to use.
May also experiment with Paranoid for modifying sizes.
How do you do that? Didn't see any settings.

Menu is over the ',' (comma). Setting from there.
I used this keyboard for a while but had to go back to Swype...not the new Swype but the ICS one.. version 3.26 i think...that was the best...the main problem with this keyboard is that there are no suggestions...just predictions..for example..if i swype "if" and it comes up as "of" you must delete the word because there is no suggestion...it just suggests the next word it thinks you want to insert....and you have to be very accurate...while on swype..if you do the same thing and it comes up as something else...suggestions will be like "if" "off" "for" etc...so many suggestions...and you can choose in swype between prediction and suggestion...so yeah not such a good experience with this keyboard...and the Flow through space method still needs a lot of work as it is far from accurate....but no doubt that it looks so much better and takes up only 8 mb of space i think...if they had the suggestion thing i'd be overjoyed..till then...enjoy it everyone
Yasss I love this with the Pumpkin theme. I can't wait until this gets a stable release.
It is time limited though
