Enhancing sound quality in G3 - Galaxy 3 General

Hi all,
I have been experimenting few things to improve the sound quality for my SG3. This is specially for the people who love music and want extreme effects with headphones.
I was using Kyrillos 9.2 when I realized that using voodoo sound effects does really improve the sound quality for SG3.
Install the following and enjoy the music.
Voodoo sound
PowerAMP music player
Enjoyeeee

Dude, I said "I realized it after using Kyrillos 9.x" so its for those who are not using that rom and are unaware of using voodoo sound effects.

Vodo Control
Vodoo Control has been my choice when I faced the same problem while using GalaxyTask 6 , so here's the market link: https://market.android.com/details?id=org.projectvoodoo.controlapp&hl=en
And also if you want ( and I would suggest it since the sound issue is solved in both) you can also install GalaxyTask 13.1 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1340064) or ICS AOKP (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459287)
All credits goes to the amazing developers .........
For Voodoo Control to work, you should have a custom kernel which have Voodoo patches like pershoot's kernal
I currently run "galaxy task 10"
kernel "[email protected] #1"

[q] Music quality in Sense Builds vs. AOSP/AOKP/CM9?

So lately I've been alternating a lot between Gingerbread with Sense and Ics with AOKP. Apart from the obvious performance ICS has over GB&Sense, the Sense builds excel in one thing and that's music sound quality. It's not even the Beats audio thing because even in builds with no Beats, the sound quality in Sense builds is SO much better, it's really annoying to use ICS. The music isn't just bass-less, but even high tones sound crackled and bad under the same speakers/headphones they sound REALLY good at on Sense builds.
What causes this? Could this be the infamous Bravia engine I've seen touted about on the forum?
If so, is it portable to ICS?
If not, is there any solution for the poor music quality under ICS?

I've notice the same thing. with Ics rom when its loud sounds like the music its damaged. With GB plays great

This is true.
Now Im using ICS ROM. Playing music with PowerAmp and the quality is great. Player has many settings to improve the music quality.
you also could try flashing beats audio from the android market.

Tried flashing Beats Audio, never could get it to work.
As for the other replies - are you guys suggesting this is the player app's fault rather than the actual kernel?

For me dsp manager with some settings(i don't remember, i'm on sense 3.5) works fine but i agree with you that sense roms are the best in audio (loud and great bass)

which gives the best sound rom ?

Do you think... which rom is better gives volume and bass
Pls.... sense 3.6 and 4.0 4.1 To comment on these versions
Not ;important for me to bass...!!!
accessory in-ear ; sennheiser cx-200
music player ; Poweramp Full version
phone ; DHD

It's a question that I never think about. But just curious,is there any obvious difference between different ROMs in the same specifications?

How does sabsa prime compare to icecoldsandwich? Is there a big difference? I like icecoldsandwich but i also value audio quality so i would probably switch if there was a big difference.

I really like the sound on sabsa bliss after running the snd3254 command to set the dspmode to SRS_A_HP or SRS_V_HP.

Super galaxy is pretty good too. It has the best call quality for sure.
For music player, I would recommend ViperDHD v1.1.0 as it brings you the best sound experience with stock headphone with many sound effects for your choice.

For me, the application "Power Amp", completes any rom to get a perfect sound.

[Q] uc & UV kernel that doesn't break CM DSP manager on Bluetooth

I'm running the latest Xylon nightly.
I use Play Music to stream my music while working out, and I want DSP manager to work so my headphones sound good. Works great with the included kernel. But if I flash Faux kernel (mainline or enhanced, doesn't matter) it breaks DSP manager. The app opens and appears to work, but there is no sound quality change when settings change. Motley kernel does the same thing. I'd like to be able to UV and uc for better battery life of that's possible without losing DSP manager functionality.
Any suggestions)

Better search for similar issues or post your question in the Faux or Motley thread. You will not be the only one with this problem.

you need the cm kernel to work with dsp manager. i suggest you try something else, Beats+xlouder. it works better than the dsp manager http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2025486
Thanks! That worked great! My headphones sound good and I'm back on Motley kernel.

Favorite Audio Mod

So I just flashed AC!D audio mod (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1923630) and it makes music sound GREAT I was just wondering what your guys opinion was.
I don't use it. Franco's kernel is enough for me.
