Hi,
I know there are many galaxy 3 users, and some of them doubt their battery.
So i opened a tread, where you can post your battery life, with maybe a screenshot!
So you can see how long other users can do with their battery, and you can compare
This is my battery:
I got 5 days of use, without plugging it in.
Here are some screenshots of mine:

I'm running stock JPQ, without any tweaks. Just stock
I have a stock battery
good result
It lasted 44 hours with heavy usage(WiFi,Music,games,GPS...),with average it can go to 4 days without charging.
I'm on Destiny 2.1 ROM.
just a hint:
wouldn´t it be better to black out your phone number in first screenshot?
3-4 days with kyrillos10
Well i am getting a battery life of around 14-15 hours on a good day... Any suggestions?
Oh i am running Froyo Purumod...
Tried CM7 too... Without any avail...
With internet I used to get 15 hours with 2 hour of talktime.........always on 3G!
I get 16 hours on normal usage with CM7. Can you also post your calibration stats (use Battery Monitor for that). Mine is 4193mV at 100% and 3556mV at 0%.

better black out your IMEI number.
I will recalibrate my battery tomorrow after it's fully charged and post my results ASAP.
Mine scored 808 points in AnTuTu Tester (Battery Test):
I used Stock T-mobile HU 2.2.
...and finally a trick: if you want to make a screenshot like the first, open the AnTuTu app, hold the Back key pressed, tap on 'Battery score ranking', press Home, and then release the 2 hw buttons.
Edit: stock battery, the phone is 1 year old (I used it for a half year, but in the last half year it relaxed. )
three days on QAGG3 V6 b08 (XXJPU)

What's your longest uptime, regardless of usage you've had with the Hero?
You know, Settings>About Phone>Battery>Up Time
I'm at 37 Hours and 51 Minutes, @ 51% Battery
Currently 27 hrs on DD2.7 @ 46% with just under 6hrs of awake time
Edit: forgot to add, 3g (data connection) was off for much of that time. mostly just calls/texts

I'm at about 90 hrs right now running the deodexed vanilla sprint ROM and the darch710 OC kernel.
I stick it on the recharge cable when I get home and leave it hooked to my laptop while I'm at work, so I can't give you any stats about battery life.
Haha you guys are all jabronies Pix or it didn't happen
I forgot to upload them a while back, just saw it in my pic-me folder while posting somewhere else.
Again this is DarchDroid 2.7 with uv kernel, no autokillerz and only using the pandora widget. Plus turning off 3g while at work bc of bad service.

mine says 290:06:06 but I can't upload from my phone. I took a pic using shoot me and will upload this evening when I get home.....also says awake time is 209:06:06
I think he means time since unplugged, as in battery time
I'll get a pic next time, but my record uptime is 18 days, 16 hours. So, 448 hours.
Got that while running the Damageless 2.8 rom.
I'm running Darchdroid 2.7 now and am currently at 122 hours. I'll post again when I hit the +400 mark.

If the OP wanted battery time, then they should have said so.
"Uptime" means the amount of time a system has been up and running continuously without being shutdown or rebooted.
If battery usage was wanted, then 'time between charging' would have been the better way to pose the question.
I'll just let the screenshots do the talking for me.
i did have around like 135hrs on my phone but then i decided to try out the new damage control(which i ended up coming back to my old rom..lol) by now im at
13hrs:32mins:35sec-up time
7hrs 27mins 50sec awake time
About to restart, but thought I'd throw this in there:
Post what hardware version and your kernel results.
Current rom is optional but not required
I believe there is a pattern to our battery life depending on what hardware type we have and that we can figure out how to get the best battery life we can if we can chart what kernels act/behave better with the hardware.

Batter life is about 8 1/2 to 9 hours light use

HW 0003
Currently HTC 15 modded and tweaked by Caulkin
Previously HTC 17
Both get similar results with 5 - 6 hours up time and battery will go 20 - 24 hours if I leave Angry Birds alone.
I want to add that nothing worked well for me until I downgraded my pri from 1.90 back to 1.77.
I tried all of of the Ziggy and Netarchy kernels and they never came close to the 2 I use.

This won't work unless you require a lot more information.
You would need to define your usages, firstly. This is very important, as your "light" usage might not compare with other people's.
Also, this would be a little more empirical if you required screens.

That's a great idea and your right light usage for me on a adverage work day might not be the same for everyone but that's horrible battery life for me.
Wifi is off (my job doesn't have wifi) bluetooth off, no phone calls, about 5mins of xda app, and 15mins of general searching the web on lunch when im connected to a wifi hotspot my battery life doubles I get about 14hours with the same usage.

Ok, so I have a Samsung Galaxy 3 ( GT-I5801 ) which I got like a year back....
I am running on Kyrillos' ROM v7.1 and overclocked to 1300 ㎒....
Governer : On demand.
Everything seems to be working fine except when I activate EDGE, my battery starts draining out rapidly....
And this does not happen when I am using WiFi....
I use Opera Mobile browser to browse Lé internet.....
But even using stock browser drains down battery while using EDGE....
1st try g3mod kernels..
If not helps try battry callibration..
if it still b there, then I must say it s a consequences of usin oc kernels for a long.. For that b in touch of mine..

I had gone to Leh-Ladakh a few days back and there was no coverage for Vodafone there, and my battery used to last for whole day on 100% with no use and 80% if I play games and stuff......
Yes, I live in a hot area....
And use Data Connection frequently....
Any solution?.....
WiFi drains out my battery very slowly BTW.....

I built ICS AOSP and slapped it on my wifi xoom - wingray WOW the battery life is amazing .. Granted, this it with VERY minimal use (checked my email a couple times during the day and that was it, screen off,) but I've never seen anything like this ..
I almost wonder if this is a mistake and the OS battery stats are bunk lol:

I'm going on hour 48 and still have 79% battery .. only using it for brief email as I've been sitting at my desktop for the last 2 days pretty solid though ..
battery problem
Hey guys, i've upgraded my Wifi Xoom to ICS EOS Team nightly 55 and since then my battery drains like crazy while wifi is ON.
Also i think my wifi wont turn off when i lock my xoom.. i can see in battery managment that wifi bar is always blue even if screen is not.
Should i try another nightly?
i'm on cm9 and the battery life is fine .. i haven't tried eos yet so i won't be much help .. does cpu spy(market) show your proc as sleeping?
Cpu seems to be in deep sleep while xoon is locked..
I've always had a great battery life with my xoom except when I used Netflix on HC, either stock rom or tiamat. If I was able to get 5h00 of netflix out of a fully charged battery I was happy. Now with the ICS EOS rom I get at least 7h00 + some browsing time. It made a huge difference.
from the very first day i bought my xoom whenever i select the sleep when screen turn off option from the WiFi it changes back to never and now m using ICS still have the same issue still can get 2 to 2 and a half day with the issue
Battery life seems about the same of Honeycomb to me. But I have the Xoom since Christmas and I switched to EOS nightlies very soon.
With heavy use I always have about 8 hours of screen on.
Now I have 27% after 2d 19h 26m with light use: mails, some internet navigation, some pdf, wi-fi always on during the day
THis is my battery usage.. afte one day the battery is at 6% with only 2-3 hours playing some games (without wifi or cpu High usage).
Look what happens when wifi and screen is on!
I'm on EOS nightly 59. In 1 day 18 hours mine has 9hrs of usage in Android OS. But I've really only used my Xoom for aboutn1 hour and 20 mins. Strange.
got 23 days of standby almost 0 use on stock honeycomb
running the same usage test on stock ICS
14 days and Im at 58% which would mean a rather sizable improvement if it holds true on a full discharge.
I am running MikG V 3.11 and the Anthrax Kernel.
I charge my phone using boot manager to boot to a Froyo ROM with netarchy SBC kernel.

As you can see, with the Seidio 3500 battery, I get 36 hours on a charge. It takes sometimes 8 hours or so for the battery to reach absolute full charge. Meaning when plugged in to wall charger, thw mA input is 0 on battery monitor widget.
Been doing this for months now and show no decrease in Battery life.
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
the 2 spikes are not charges, that is when I did a reboot. I was having trouble getting an app to close completely, so I rebooted the phone to see if I could get it to shut off that way and it worked.
It also does not show that I played Solitare for 5 hours, and spades for 4 hours on there. Not sure why. I was in waiting rooms a few times yesterday and had lots of just sitting time to blow.
im gunna get a siedeo soon, this just got me more excited =] as long as my battery last me all day ill be very happy
Well, the battery will last all day for sure, but if you dont charge with sbc it will never ever charge past 70% capacity no matter what you try.

I think that there are sbc kernels for the asop roms. I am a sense man.

There is no current Sense gingerbread kernel with SBC. Apparently there are issues with it (not sure, I try not to compile kernels).
OP> I'f your swapping ROM's every day after charging the battery, why not use an AOSP rom with a current SBC kernel? Just curious, because if something comes up where you need the phone asap and don't have a chance to reboot it back to the gingerbread rom, you may run into problems with the radios being built for gingerbread but the rom running froyo.
jroller > no, the lionfish line is not SBC. the more is just the amount of under-volting involved.
To boot between the two really isn't a big issue and while you are booted to the Froyo rom your phone will still be able to make/recieve calls, texts, emails and everything else you might like if it's set up.
The OP probably prefers a Sense Rom so that's why they are not using an AOSP rom i would venture to guess.
Naters
I use Boot Manager to change between ROMs, it only takes the same amount of time to switch as it does to reboot the same ROM.
Boot Manager is a really cool app once you get the ROMs set up correctly.
And I dont like any ASOP ROMs at all. I tried them, just not for me.
Just get a external battery wall charger, just pop the battery in and it will be done in a few hours. Cheap on ebay.
