Nandroid backup is done inside of clockwork recovery which you can use rom manager to boot into.
Custom roms will usually come with busybox, but if you want to update your version you can download busybox installer from market
Not sure what you are doing with google maps, but if you uninstall maps it shouldnt give you a problem reinstalling another google maps apk manually or from market.
If it says read only on system folder then you have not changed to write access. What file browser are you using?
You can absolutely unstall any of the tmobile bloatware including tmobile tv. If you want a precooked rom that has all of this stuff removed and is stock in every other way then check the link in my sig for my mysense rom. It may be exactly what you are looking for.

Hello Forum!
I tested some Roms today and now after restoring my old System I encountered an italian App called mywind (its on Google Play). I didn't installed it and I can't uninstall it from within the drawer.
So I googled it and it seems to be part of any north american Provider Service or something.
Does anybody know where it comes from or how to get rid of it?
Greetings, Jan
PS: I'm on a debloated and modded G2 D802 with 5.0.2 Stock LL Dorimanx and I was testing the Google Edition 1.3 Rom.
Use Root Uninstaller to get rid of it, you can find it on Play Store.
Thanx for that, Felipe. It wasn't easy to remove. Had to erase single files via root explorer because the uninstaller only deleted the .apk.
Now its gone but theres still the Question: What exactly is it and where did it come from?
i have the same problem.... witch other files did you delete? (i use root uninstaller to remove the app too). Thanks

I saw there was an unofficial application called myWind with the package ID it.wind.myWind and an official myWind application, do you know which one was installed? If it was the official myWind application (also available on the play store), it's possible that your carrier could have a thing similar to Sprint Zone/Boost Zone which downloads and installs carrier applications.
It says in the app " MyWind is the app that lets you keep track of your Wind and Infostrada lines. "
It seems like a carrier app . Could be included in the rom you installed.
Hello!!
My phone is an S7 Edge with Android 7.0. I am trying to manually install updates from apps included in the stock, like the calendar, messages ... etc. However I can not do it because it gives me this error: " App not installed. The package conflicts cith an existing package by te same name".
Please, can someone help me with this?
Uninstall the app and install the newest. If you have still the problem try install over ADB. Then you can see package name with conflict and uninstall it.
Hi,
You're trying to install two apps with the same package name, in Android data system the apps you install have its data saved in a folder with the format /data/*package name*/, therefore if two apps use the exact same package name and have different signatures (that is, one is not the update of another) you won't be able to install it.
As suggested, try to uninstall the stock apps and then install again manually. However I do not think you'll be able to do it, due to the nature of stock apps being installed in system partition. So for manually installing an stock app you'll first need to uninstall it, and that usually requires superuser privileges.
All the best,
~Lord

That is the answer I have searched for days. You know APKMIRROR right? I am on unrooted SM-G935F (s7 edge) and I was not able to install any system apps before. But in apkmirror, some people uploaded newer versions of system apps and there was one visible difference: older versions which I cannot install was with android head icon, but newer version had it's own app icon next to the name, and that installed for me. For example s8 launcher (touchwiz home). I always got package error when tried to download versions with android head, and when someone uploaded version with its own icon, it installed. Can you explain this?
And now im waiting for new versions of s8 weather widget because there is no version available with the app icons....
All you need to to to install Touchwiz 9.0 is to encript device, and afterward install will go smoothly (All other experience 9.0 apps can be installed too).(Samsung S6, Android 7.0, December security patch).
I installed this rom:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/development/rom-slm-version-t3704143
(I wanted an android 7 stock rom - not MIFavor - but incredibly I couldn't find it)
after that, I tried to remove with Titanium Backup many system apps that I didn't want, like Mi Assistant, Es file explorer, Z-backup, an app with russian characters which I have no idea what it does, an app with chinese characters which I have no idea what it does, etc.), but the problem is that they keep coming back even after removing them with Titanium Backup :| this has never happened to me before, and I have no idea how to solve this.
Try this zip. Backup before flash.

thanks for the suggestion, but it didn't work: first I tried with this method, then I installed the zip you provided, but again it didn't work.
As before, if I uninstall system apps via Titanium Backup, and then reboot the device, the apps are still there.

In TWRP's terminal do
Code:
reboot disemmcwp
If that doesn't work do it from your computer with
Code:
adb reboot disemmcwp
I tried exactly as you said, but again it didn't work. I unistalled apps with titanium backup, they disappear, then I reboot and the apps are again there :'(
Apart from that the phone works perfectly (the root remains, xposed works, etc.) so I have no idea why this is happening
Oh I have a a2017g and I dont' have Magisk, if that changes anything.
just a quick update, I have already installed busybox 1.21.1, and if i try to update it to 1.27.2 with busybox app from play store, nothing happens/changes.
edit2: I even try to install the "dm-verity and forced encryption disabler zip" listed here, but again it didn't work.

Try Magisk. AFAIK with Magisk you can make changes to system without actually modifying system, so it might work.

Could you explain this? You were looking for LineageOS maybe?
To be able to delete apps you should get a computer with ADB, connect your phone, then from the computer issue "adb reboot disemmcwp". Doing this from TWRP or a terminal emulator doesn't work

Don't use Titanium to remove the apps.if you have run the above command to disable write protection, download mxplorer or any root explorer and go into the folder and delete them. For some reason Titanium doesn't delete them properly
I was having the same problem with with all the b13 roms. The b13 bootstack it the problem for me. What phone model are you using? If you are on the U model trying installing the b32 bootstack by drakenfx. That's how I solved that problem. I am not sure on the g model though.
thanks again for your help! in the end since I couldn't figure it out, I decided to factory reset everything and start from scratch with Magisk and LineageOS. With them I succesfully managed to delete system apps with titanium backup. now i have only a small issue with adblocker, but i will create a new topic as the problem is different from the one i talked about here.

yeah I wasn't really clear. I was looking for an android vanilla experience, and then add gravity box to personalize it. however i am quite happy with lineageos, so i just may stick with it. only issue is that i couldn't find dark theme for drawer/settings, but i will look into it.

i think you're using the stock system, a.k.a. MiFavor. LineageOS is the vanilla android experience you wanted, that's why I mentioned it.
I'm attaching a few screenshots
I was trying to install older version of Game Launcher on my S8 as I noticed new version just add ad banner on the interface which I hate. I used Titanium Backup to manually uninstall Game Launcher and when I try to install older version APK I got this message "package conflicts with an existing package by the same name". Normally this messaage showed up when there is newer version of the app already installed on the device so it seen even after I uninstall latest version of the app. Anyone know is there to get around this issue without having to flash older stock rom?

I did that which there is not folder for Game Launcher.
I recently realized that since October, I can't uninstall my system apps such Calendar, Calculator, FM Radio, etc.
I used EU & MIUI Kosmos ROM and both gave the same result. I usually freeze them on Titanum Backup, then Uninstalled them, then reboot my phone. But after rebooted, the apps kept going back. I tried to uninstalled them with another apps such Root uninstaller, Root app deleter, successfully uninstalled, but when I tried to rebooted the phone it was boot-looped.
So, now I can only disable them through the Titanium Backup. I rooted my phone with Magisk, and I checked the two advanced option in Magisk Manager [Preserve Force Encryption & Preserve AVB 2.0/dm-verity.
Anyone knows why that happened? And how can I properly uninstall those system apps like usual?
Is the checked choices on the Magisk Manager be the cause?

Yesterday i flashed Hellas Miui and faced the same problem. I tried to debloat using debloater magisk module and it showed successful but after rebooting the apps were still there.
I googled a bit and found out that we need to disable all magisk modules before uninstalling system apps.
Then i successfully uninstalled mi video and weather using "System App Remover (Root Needed)" from playstore.
Try debloat via adb
There are several topics about that.

I had the same problems a month back. I used to uninstall apps using titanium but that doesn't work now and root uninstaller sends the phone to fastboot. The terminal solutions only disables them.
After a lot of research I found a solution.
1. You must be rooted
2. Install any root browser (I used root explorer)
3. Go to
System/apps
System/ priv apps
System/ product / apps
System/ product/ priv apps
All the suckers are there, delete the ones bugging u (u should know what u r deleting, at ur own risk)
5. Reboot and voila :good:
