Does MT3G come with warranty?

I have a very noob question that I never found the answer for, partly because I didn't try hard to search, but does the MT3G come with an automatic 1 year warranty when I buy it or do I have to buy the warranty myself? I ask this because I'm afraid I might brick my phone some day and I want to know if it's safe for me to get a replacement for free or not.
If you brick your phone, warranty doesn't cover it. If they figure out that you've tampered with your phone then you're screwed. Some people are lucky though. I dunno how it works there but where I'm located, my magic came with 1yr warranty.
I bought mine full price without a contract from T-mobile and it came with a 1 year warranty.
Alright thanks guys, also, I thought if I was to say the phone bricked during an update I thought that would be legit.

Xperia play warranty not good

Hi guys,
My xperia play became faulty with it mic a week ago and I sent it back to Sony under warranty
Sony states that it has a two year warranty which I thought was great but not so for me because it was unlocked to all networks they refused to fix the device yes I say refused to fix the phone I could not believe it after an argument over the phone with them regarding this as it was bought unlocked from an Internet retailer they said to me due to this it was not covered anyway under the international warranty if it is an unlocked device so buyers be aware of this.
I had never had any problems with samsung, apple or asus for phone repairs before and I did not expect Sony to shaft me. So I have invested in a phone that can't be repaired due to not purchasing from then direct.
I will never buy only again all products as I have now a phone which I had to pay for the return this is not good after sales at all.
I did like the handset but now I have ordered anew galaxy nexus where I do get a 110% after sales backup so stuff Sony.
Has anyone else had bad reports from sony like me please put your views down below as I have now just a gaming device for 400 notes he he.
Thanks
How did you manage to get ripped off 400 dollars?
urm when has xperia play ever come with 2 year warranty?
Also how was it "damaged"? Did you drop it in water or breach any of the other rules that are not covered by warranty?

IN the EU is mandatory to have two years of warranty.
Sony states in bold lettering on their bootloader unlock page that unlocking the phone will void the warranty.

The OP isn't referring to an unlocked bootloader. He is referring to carrier unlocked which means it has generic firmware without the carrier specific bloatware and able to be programmed with different apns for different carriers with their SIM card.
Hi again guys
Yes the phone was carrier unlocked i bought it when it was first released to the UK in April
I think it's a firmware issue not hardware so I will try to fix it by reflashing with a custom firmware and kernel at least I can still play my android games on the device.
Thanks

[Q] Nexus 7 bought used, waranty still valid?

I am actually asking this on behalf of a friend. He is interested in getting a N7 from someone in town for I think $215 with the case, and the keyboard. But he is concerned if there is still a warranty on the device? I would imagine at the very least there would be a manufacturer warranty from Asus but not 100% sure. Also he is not sure if the guy got it from the Google PLAY store or not and will ask. If I come across any additional info from him I will post it here.
I Would tell your "friend" To ASK QUESTIONS .
1 where did it come from ..
2 why is he selling it (brand new)
3 Ask for the Receipt . Buying a stolen device is a shady thing to do
4 Ask around about the person selling it ...
4.1 ask if this person sells things often
4.2 ask if this person has ever been in trouble for stolen stuff.
4.3 ask other people about the person your "friend" knows selling a new nexus.
5 Tell your "friend" to ask the guy selling if its been registered with asus or on the Play store.
If so this could cause warranty issues.
As far as manufacturer warranties i think as long as you have proof of sale date and the device is within warranty condition they will honor it..
But you gotta ask questions and protect yourself.. At the very least DEMAND WELL Tell your friend you must have the box and receipt
Good Luck

Thank you.
My friend went to meet the guy and the guy never answered the door or his phone and he waited 45 minutes before deciding to just buy it from the Google PLAY store.

All n4 owners plz help me URGENT

I am about to buy a sealed n4 16gb from a guy who won it through a competition. How do I get warranty? as it was the company which sent him this phone as gift. Moreover on the box in description its written (US).does that means its us stock?.and I am in Australia.will my warranty be applicable here.
please help guys very urgent
As mine says UK on the box I'm guessing it is denoting the country of origin so it could be linked to warranty, you'd have to speak to Google to confirm
they are not telling anything. But the person says he received shipment from Sydney. What to do?
on thse sku: its written lg960.ausgbk....whats urs?
au stock here and mine is lge960.aaugbk
nd whats in description is there (US) written? on it
You could airways do a3rd party warranty via a company like squaretrade

stop worrying about the warranty. 95% of the time nothings going to happen to your phone in the first year. besides, I think warranties are usually international these days

No. N4 does not have international warranty. Only the Nexus 7 has that.

Selling rooted S7 Edge

For those of you who root your phones, is it ever a problem when you come to sell it? Presumably you have to declare it's been rooted and Knox has been tripped, so things like Samsung Pay won't work.
That's pretty much all that's been holding me back rooting my S7 Edge.
No issues faced ever selling a rooted device here in India. Infact all of my devices are rooted the day they are unboxed
I have faced some issues with the selling of rooted devices
People here (Greece) know about the KNOX counter and they demand a very big discount from the price
I had issues with selling my old S6. I had the ad for 400 euros back then and because it was rooted he asked 250
Android pay will still work if unrooted right?
yes android pay will work.

What's here to discuss? If you don't disclose the actual state of the good your selling, it's straight up fraud. In this case the missing ability to use Samsung My Knox due to a tripped Knox counter, plus the fact that it voids the warranty. After all, this device is marketed as one that can create secure containers using the My Knox app.
I hate idiots who think they're smart because they scam people. The final straw for me was this incident. Basically, I'm never going to buy a used/second hand device, ever. World is full of d*ckheads.
I've sold many, many rooted devices. I always explicitly told people about their bootloader and warranty state. I always write signed protocols that the buyer was thoroughly informed about the devices condition which s/he also has to read and sign.
Of course I sold those devices to a much lower price, which imho is the correct thing to do when you sell something of non-original, altered condition.
What about chinese phones? Some of them come pre rooted and well. Who knows if the manufacturer gives You warranty.
I've sold a couple of rooted phones but no one really cared about warranty, and I always was able to sell them for nearly full price. I never had a buyer that contacted me after buying the phone and complained. They all seemed happy. Probably because in my country such thing as warranty doesn't exist. Everyone orders replacement parts from the internet or they just buy a new device (mostly a worse one).
Pure luck none of them contacted you. Never had luck. Don't need it. Warranty exists where I live. 1. It'd be dishonest. 2. Don't have time for the headaches when problems occur because I wanted to earn some money in a highly questionable way. 3. I'd hate it if someone sold me a rooted device without telling me.
In Bosnia also nobody cares if the phone is rooted or not, you can tell them, but first most of people do no know what it means. I do not know anybody here who wants to use knox security features, and also here you have warranty just if you buy a new phone, if you buy it used there is no warranty anyway so it really does not matter here.
Unless you live in US and countries that have Android Pay selling rooted phones won't be a problem
