Use for this x recrovery and restore system. When you didnt haved maked backup, try factory reset [full wipe].
If on stock kernel touch the screen for cwn it or backbutton for xrecovery and do a full wipe.

I dont think u have to install custom rom? not sure, but u probably might have to go on backup/restore and restore the floyo 2.2.1.
if you do backup and restore with xrecovery don't full wipe that will make your phone stuck on SE logo.
Hello, I installed a long time ago this rom and I haven't followed the updates since then. Now I wanna install the latest version (1.0.2, not 2.0.1). I have MiniCM 1.0, do I only have to install the update.zip like any other roms?
How can I backup my sms? I installed a version of Backup and Restore that I found here but I can't find again the thread of that
EDIT: If you think another rom is better, just tell me and I'll try it
First of all you have to install clockworkmod recovery or dualmode recovery.
then download MiniCM6
boot into clockworkmod recovery
install custom.zip
if you want to keep your data don't do a factory reset but wipe cache.
Sony Ericsson Backup and Restore app can be found here
If you want clean Froyo (CM6) ROM then I would recommend Floyo by Racht or MiniCM6 by ponanovn (NobodyAtAll)
If you want froyo with gingerbread features try Froyobread by doixanh
If you want Gingerbread try XGin 5.4 by shpit or Hackdroid by racht(if you don't care about camera and FM)
I installed Froyobread and it's great, thanks!
How did you install clockworkmod recovery

Go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1151293 download Dualrecovery.zip in the attached files section of the main post(1st) and install custom zip with xrecovery. You should now have both xrecovery and Cwm.
xrecovery enter by pressing back button repeatedly and enter CWM by keep tapping the screen at se logo on boot.
Hi Guys,
I tried to flash the phone with kyrillos rom 7.0 OC Version but my phone freezes at initial screen GT5801 and can listen cracking booting sound.
I tried to re flash it but again the same thing happened. Do any one have the solution for this problem.

Use the non Oc version because oc can freeze your phone.

Thanks dilzo . I tried to again flash the phone with JP2 official .tar downloaded from samfirmware. But that is again getting freeze after Samsung booting animation.
Should i again reflash it with non OC version. There are two part of Kyrillos rom. If you extract the first part the second part also get extracted. Please correct me if i am wrong.
Make wipe data after flashing when phone boot ino CWM. If this won't help, flash non-oc version, wipe data, then flash oc kernel (is in the kyrillos zip in "extras" folder - i don't remember exactly)
Last time i had v4. Now I am trying to install v7 but first time it got freez at SAMsung boot screen, with non OC version I am getting freez after samsung boot screen. After flashing I wiped calvik cache or what and the cache patrition.

Hello IROC_69
Thanks in advance for the answers.
I did exactly the steps you describe. First I tried with the Froiobread xrecovery gingerdx and then tried to CWM. Both were frozen on the logo. I thought it might be very small memory card. I find no other explanation.
I already did restore everything and everything is operational. My question is to know why I can not install any room with the steps described in the forum
install rom and do full wipe (factory reset) in recovery menu

Hey Dude,
Find online market through your xperia and look for SYSTEM APPLICATION REMOVER which is green colour.
download and install - It need to root permision so better restart after installation.
Try & Enjoy !!!
I was going to test some new roms as I usually do. Rebooted phone, pressed back key and performed a backup.
When I tried to restore the backup I made it was not in the xrecover/backup folder, after some searching on the sd card I found the backup but it was in the folder clockworkmod/backup.
The strange thing is that I am sure that I wasnt on the clockworkmod when I made the backup because the text wasnt orange, it was blue. Now xrecovery cant restore my backup and even if I boot on clockworkmod (by tapping screen on boot) I cant restore my backup.
What am I missing? Is there another recovery I could have booted without noticing?
Maybe you were using a custom kernel or gingerdx on stock those have cwm with blue text

Not entirely correct. Up to GingerDX v022 the ROM shipped with CWM 3.2.0.0r2, which had the orange text.
Starting with GingerDX v024 we switched to CWM 5.0.2.8 (and pulled even with the Alfs-included CWM version) which has the cyan-ish text color.
Anyway, if the backup would have been created with xRecovery (blue text color) then the backup would sit in /sdcard/xrecovery/backup.
@OP: If you can't restore the backup, maybe it got damaged?

Yes, it was a cyan text. The problem is that aparently I have 3 recovery systems installed.
If I press the back button on boot I got to the xrecovery
If I tap the screen on boot I got to clockworkmod with orange text (version 3.2)
But I dont know how I got in the clockworkmod with the cyan-ish text (version 5.02)
Btw, I am using GingerDX v024 and loving it =).
EDIT: I solved my problem, it was just a silly thing. GingerDX V024 uses clockworkmod 5.0.2 and the rom I tested used v3.2, just flashed GingerDX v024 and I was fine... only bad news is that I found out that my backup was corrupted (MD5 dont match) and I screwed my phone contacts because of the goddamed google contact sync.
