My phone got screwed after upgrading my rom

Hello,
Im not new to rom upgrades ive done it before with many rom releases
I installed this rom like any other
Dutty's HD V3.4 XT
after installing this my cell's screen got blury and when i take it into hypernate and bring it back (press the off button) it get fixed, something i have never had before
Other than that i cannot start the phone proccess, everytime i do, its getting closed.. so my phone got no service now,
I tried upgrading to another rom after trying this one and got the same response
(the phone service is the one allowing me to make phonecalls, the WM6 is starting up fine but really slowly)
Ive even tried hard restarting my device a few times, nothing fixe's this..
Anyone got a solution for this?

I already flashed my rom 2 times and got those results, what good will this do?
what spl are you on
what my senior member above meant to say is what spl are you on
1.14 or 1.56
check that first and then follow cracwhore's instruction step by step

Reason why you are getting this colour distortion is because you haven't used USPL or HSPL before flashing rom
If you are using USPL you need to re-run USPL before every flash to rom or radio. If you are using HSPL you only need to run it once.
Check your SPL in bootloader
If it says 1.54.0000 you will need to use USPL and then flash 1.56+ rom
As mentioned previously by DRTigerlilly & kingspeare you will need to follow cRaCKwHoRe's guide correctly and make sure you follow the whole guide.
Let us know if you are still having problems or alternatively (and I'd recommend this) post your queries in cRaCKwHoRe's guide thread so either myself, cRaCKwHoRe etc can provide you with better support

[Q] i need some help on flashing my tmobile htc usa hd2... please read

hey whats up guys!!!! im just posting this thread cause i really need help on flashing my tmobile leo usa htc hd2.... you see i have followed the "how to flash your htc hd2 [for noobs]" tutorial and im on the the part where my phone is gonna connect to my computer using hspl and my phone is gonna go on bootloader... however it cant connect to hspl... it saids "critical error: bad spl" now i dont know what to do.. it wont connect to hspl.. btw my phone's spl as it saids in the bootloader is 2.10.000.... let me know please quickly!!!! thanks
You have got too high of an SPL. You need to downgrade to 2.08. To do so, flash the official T-Mobile ROM, specifically the 2.13 SHIPPED version. You can get it in the ROM section of these forums. After you apply that ROM, your SPL SHOULD be 2.08, and if it is, slap HardSPL on it and let it roll!

uh can u send me a link on the official rom and how to downgrade using the official tmobile rom??? and will this in anyway have a chance to harm my phone???? cause im really scared of making a mistake and bricking my phone
I've never had a problem flashing a 2.10 without downgrading. If you go over to page two you'll see a how to video I made that shows you how to flash step by step.

If you are talking about flashing custom rom, you have to have HSPL on your phone first before you can flash the rom.
critical error, bad spl sounds like you are using the wrong hspl. you should be using hspl3, my guess is you are using hspl2 or hspl1024, neither of which will work with spl 2.10.0000
ya actually i am using hspl2_1024... the one that is on the link of the tutorial.. is this the wrong one??? do i need to use a different hspl??
Oh, I didn't even think to ask that. Yeah HardSPL1024 won't work with SPL2.10. Download HardSPL3 and it should work just fine with 2.10.
hspl1024 was brought out when all tmous phones had 2.08.0000 spl, and only supported tmous phones, and only 2.08 spl, and it was quickly replaced by hspl3 as a one size fits all hspl. (Though in reality regular hd2 users should stick to hspl2 for more flexibility)

blimey, calm down, most mistakes happen when excited/stressed.
yes its the same, the actual spl/hspl code that gets loaded to your phone is teh same from hspl2 as hspl3 as hspl1024, , the only difference is in the actual .exe program, what phone models it checks for, and what spl's hspl's are available. (tmous cant use 1.x spl's so they arent in hspl3)
theres a direct link in my sig to hspl3 get it, run it, choose 2.08.hspl NOT 2.08.0000, thats stock.

Do I need hspl???

Hiya guys well to the point I have a hd2 in my possession and I think the usb port is broke some how so i can't install anything that requires a pc.... I was informed I might b able 2 install a custum windows rom is this possible and any suggestions for possible roms any help appreciated
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA Premium App
Yes you can flash custom ROMs via SD card but you still have to have HSPL flashed to your HD2 to be able to flash a custom ROM via SD card. Unfortunately you can only flash HSPL via USB and not SD card, so you can only flash stock ROMs on your HD2 unless you get the USB fixed. Sorry friend.
Thank you very much for the help at least I know now and I'm not gonna be wasting anymore time looking for solutions tink an unsolvable problem lol thanks again

You haven't said whether its a regular hd2 or a tmous. (Tmous has red and green end and send, regular all white)
If it's a regular, then a goldcard will let you use any stock rom, opening the options a little, if its a tmous, then goldcard is of no benefit and you can disregard this post.
Its a regular hd2 mate plain white buttons ....is there anything u can recommend as in basically I realise I'm never gonna have android inbed here but is any modded or custom rom possible I'm not gettin my hopes up tho
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA Premium App
Not cooked roms but with a goldcard you can flash any stock rom meaning non branded (if the phone is branded) plus there are tons of tweaks and mods for winmo, go look up cookies home tab, you wont regret it! and as for android you can run it from SD card, no hspl required, , a very popular way.
Thanks for the tip gonna go look it up now

If you have the time and patience to tweak it you can get an android build running from SD almost as smoothly as a nand build, keep WM and have the best of both.

Does HARDSPL "root" HTC HD2?

If you install HSPL, is that considered as rooting your phone once you install android?
No, HSPL only turns off your device's security so that you can flash any ROM.
As per Android, you need to root it yourself. [But why? 99.9% of the ROMs are already pre-rooted].
hardspl just unlocks the bootloader of htc hd2 !!
great work by bepe and cotulla there !! !!
after installing hspl, the bootloader is open and magldr and clk can be installed which act as custom bootloader so as to install and run any custom os or rom !!
!
Any android ROM you flash from xda is going to be rooted already.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using xda premium
The answer has been said above, but root is a user on the OS - just a FYI.
Root HD2
I wonder if wilfred888 was meaning that if you install HSPL they will be able to use cracked apps? Just a thought.

As far as I know all GB ROMs come rooted. Just flash a different and more modern ROM and you'll be fine.
No the SPL hard or not does not give you root accesd. The spl is what allows you to flash custom roms on your phone. As an above poster stated almost all if not all newer roms come pre rooted so you'd be fine.

Try not to open old threads when trying to get your 10 posts, you may be providing useful advice but the fact is that it's not really directed towards anyone. At least you're doing the right thing and helping people rather than just spamming though, so I haven't reported you.

Stock OS refuses to boot

Hey guys
It all started when i accidently dropped my HD2.it started freezing then every 2-3 minutes and after sometime completely refused to boot.i flashed stock OS and submitted it to the HTC service centre as my device is still in warranty period.
They returned it to me after a week but it still wasn't fixed.so i resubmitted it.
This time they fixed the problem and uh upgraded my spl to 3.03 but my flashlight stopped working.i found this only while i was testing my new android rom.
I wanted to submit it again to fix my flashlight but when i flash stock OS,it goes on well but while booting,i suddenly get a black screen with red text written that this OS is not compatible with the hardware.
Can somebody help me resolve this?

^Use this to install an official ROM, after that use HSPL package to install stock SPL and resubmit the device.
Looks like your device is fighting death, I hope you get it fixed.

I'm not sure if that will work. Use HSPL to install an original stock ROM, then uninstall HSPL using HSPL package.
Do you have still this defect? Maybe try use a goldcard method?
