flash from Froyo to GB gone bad NEED HELP!! - Galaxy S I9000 General

I have a Bell Canada SGS I9000M and been running speedmod kernel with a Froyo ROM from DOC's Kitchen. I finally used samsung KIES and upgraded to Bell Gingerbread KG3. After that i went ahead and tried to install the latest speedmod GB kernel which forced me in a bootloop. Used Odin to flash back KG3 and got it workingg.
Now i would like to flash a kernel to achive root, but keep stock ROM. I though it would be as simple as flashing a new CWM kernel and be on with it. What am i missing?
EDIT:
I think i may know the cause, I had ext4 filesystem and forgot lagfix to rfs before i installed GB. Now the issue is i have stock kernel and tmpfs, I need to convert this to RFS but how?
Screenshot from Android Terminal Emulator

I was able to fix this my downloading stock KG3 and using 512.pit and re-partitioning. Then upgraded to JVT

you just need to flash a stock rom with Odin

[Q] No network when using custom roms.GT-19020T

Hey guys,
So i recently just downloaded custom rom and Im getting no service now. I live in canada and am with wind. Can anyone give me the official stock rom gingerbread for GT-19020T (Nexus s) I just need the download link and need to know if I just flash it or use odin, THANKS
You could do a bunch of ways to flash your ROM back to GB. You can use the official factory images from Google which are flashable through fastboot:
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images
If you want to do it using recovery, you can check out this thread for the different images. Stock recovery only works if you're custom ROM is based on GB though. If its any higher, you should do a complete wipe using CWM.

Finally, I don't know why you're trying to downgrade to GB but if network reception is the problem, have you tried flashing the radio? Perhaps you can put in the older KB3 radio and see how that goes? Check out the link below for radio images and flashing instructions:

Hope that helps!

[Q]Cant change baseband on ROM based on XXUBMGA

Im having the following issue and was wondering if anyone can help
I have been using MVLUAMG1 for a while now as my baseband which is the latest Rogers/Fido modem/baseband and upgraded to foxhound 1.4 and then 1.5 from older foxhound versions
After installing the rom im trying to update the modem from MVLUAMDJ to MVLUAMG1. I tried it via mobile Odin which was neevr an issue before and everything seemed to go ok but baseband still shows MVLUAMDJ in settings
I tried via odin on my computer and get auth fail at the last part (writing)
Issue started with Foxhound 1.4 which is based on XXUBMGA firmware. Tested ROMS that are not XXUBMGA based and seems to work ok
Also unfortunately this modem is not flashable via recovery for some reason. Only ways to flash is is mobile odin or regular odin.
Trust me I would like nothing more then a flashable zip that works of this modem
any ideas or alternatives?

[Q] Reverting back to your original firmware

I've just flashed Echoe 2.1.1 rom over my I9505 and later there is a new firmware update from Sammie - MI1. Will I brick my phone if I flash the new official firmware using Odin? Are there any method where you can safely downgrade to your original rom?

You can Flash Stock firmware using Odin I don't see any issues and if u have a nandroid backup of your old ROM that will also work just fine
B4 doing anything if u have not done Do take a efs backup and nandroid backup and keep it safe somewhere on Pc/ Sd card
and after flashing Stock firmware I suggest full wipe / reset for error free experience

A little help, please.

I'm coming from 4.4.1 I want to flash a Lollipop ROM, I haven't flashed for very nearly 2 years. I'm obviously rooted already.
Is coming from KitKat as simple as just flashing a Lollipop ROM? I'm an SM-9005, I've got Odin 3.10 and I want to flash Resurrection-Remix-LP-v5.5.5.
I've seen that I need to backup my PIT and obviously backup my current ROM, do I need to update my baseband or radio etc?
No one?
No need to backup your baseband or radio. RR is an AOSP ROM as far as I know, so you won't be able to flash it with Odin I'm guessing, as it comes as a zip package? I don't have any interest or idea about it, but you can only flash via Odin if the ROM comes as tar image.
Also as you are coming from KK, you 'might' need to flash a stock Lollipop ROM first to update the bootloader from KK to LP, read RR topic, see if its mentioned or not. If its not then you probably don't need to, but as I said no idea.
