I just installed the latest leedroid, trying to test my app on different builds. Found an issue and wanted to debug. However, adb can't connect to my device, it sees it but lists it as offline.
Was running cm7 before sans problem. Any ideas anyone?
cheers

Try re-install the adb drivers. You could do this by just installing HTC Sync which should be on your SD card.

Just try rebooting and/or switching the USB port. Fixes it every time I get this problem. (It might be different for you, but it's worth a try)
I am looking for the new University of Phoenix Android App APK. For whatever reason, I cannot find it on the Android market using my Nook Color but I can find it with my GZone Commando. I am running Manual Nooter flashed to my 1.3.0 NC.
I know not all apps appear in the market. I have changed my LCD density to 160 as mentioned and still cannot download this app. If anyone has a link for the APK, I will gladly sideload the app.
Cheers!
Pulled from Titanium Backup from my G2. Let me know if you have any problems and I'll just pull the actual apk from data/apps/
It works. Thank you very much!!
Excellent, glad I could help.
When I can't find a specific app on market I just install it to my phone, then use file expert to back up the app and transfer it to the Nook, then uninstall from the phone.
Sounds more complicated than it really is.
So I rooted my NST with the SalsichaNooter4 Method. I have installed plenty of apps by now, including the Kindle, Kobo, and Google Books apps but whenever I try to install the Nook app a message pops up saying "Installation Unsuccessful"
Does anyone have any ideas what is happening? And does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Has anyone had this type of trouble?
It might be conflicting with the stock B&N software?
The nook app has never been able to install on any device, this is due to the changes in the system to run the stock software and prevents their app from running on it for some reason.
Huh?

Thanks, but that didn't make any sense? Could you explain?
The Nook app is made for regular Android devices, it will not run on the NST because of all the customizations that B&N did to it.
Thanks for explaining!
Hi! I've got a Nexus 4 running CM 10.2 / Android 4.3 and I've been trying to spoof the Mac Address it sets when tethering, to no success.
The reason I'm trying to do this is that the Nintendo 3DS now uses this nifty new "Street Pass Relay" feature which checks the Access Point Mac Address to exchange high scores and other data with strangers around your zone, but with this, we can get data from strangers around the world.
The Native tethering app generates a random Mac Address every time I start it, and I've tried several options (including busybox ifconfig hw ether wlan0 xx:yy:zz:11:22:33 ) but none of the options have worked so far.
Has anyone done this before? Via an app or a script, I don't mind.
Thanks.
Wireless Tether for Root Users has MAC address spoofing as a feature as of 3.3 pre2. That version is not in the play store yet but the APK can be downloaded from the project page (Google it, I can't link to things. Or go to the #DS subreddit and find the thread about it there someone links to it in the comments). I tried getting it to work earlier but turns out the app won't work at all with a Galaxy Nexus. Others have had luck with it though.

I tried both versions of that app, 3.3beta 2 and 3.4 experimental to no success in my Nexus 4 , Schiff is why I'm asking for other alternatives
Glad I'm not the only one going nuts trying to accomplish this exact same task for the exact same reason on the exact same device I'm at a dead end at the moment but I'll be sure and post if I figure something out - hopefully you'll do the same.
trying to do exactly the same thing but with GS3 with paranoid android and it keeps failing at creating ad-hoc...
any ideas? i kinda want those streetpasses XD
No luck so far, but if I get this to work, I'll probably repackage the Wifi Tether App into a "StreetPass Hotzone" app with pre-enabled Blocking for non-3DS devices and Mac Address cycling to get easy hits

I wish you the best of luck. That sounds epic. I finally gave up and just set up an extra router that was already running dd-wrt. I'll only get one hit every 8 hours with the same MAC but it's better than nothing.
trying to accomplish the same thing with a samsung gs4. same errors/results as people with nexus 4 makes me think its a 4.3 issue

Except I'm on CM 10.1, which is 4.2.2. :/
Hey if anyone happens to figure this thing out please let me know, I've been trying to do the same thing for a while now and I just came across this post. I will continue to search for a solution but if anyone finds one first please let me know what you did
Welcome to the club! I've been trying this on my Captivate with CM 10.1 with no success yet.

I'm at work right now, and haven't been able to mess around d with this, but digging through the files late last night I found in the ini file holding the macaddress (One of 2 files you need to edit apparently to spoof it) there was an option to mutate the mac for tethering usage.... The system folder is /etc/wifi if anyone wants to take a closer look... If not I'll try when I get home tonight...
Hi, i'm developing an app called StreetPass Riilay, it does pretty much what you're searching but right now it's not compatible with all the devices i invite you to check it out , it's on Gbatemp and in reddit in the 3ds subreddit.
this is a video of a test that i did.
Im having issues having my 3DS even seeing my wifi tether on my nexus 4 with either stock or CM10.1.2. Any tips?

I had that exact problem. I wound up backing up my data partition using TWRP, backing up my sdcard partition to my PC, and then doing a fresh reinstall of CM using TWRP. After doing a factory reset in TWRP I then booted the phone and signed into my Google account. I then restored my data partition in TWRP and my sdcard, and everything worked after that.

were you using a custom Kernel? honestly i dont think it has worked since i got the phone and i just recently flashed CM 10.1, it was stock since i got it. Also i am using the 4g enabler. Thanks i will try this though.
Dying to get this working.
Tried all the apps I can find, including Zurces, but no luck.
Has anyone succeeded yet?
Any news on this? It's so frustating having a theorically very quality phone and getting stucked in a simple thing like this.

There is a way to spoof N4's mac which is explained in these forums. Use the search feature and you'll find it.
anyone know of a way to change DNS for mobile data? Ive done some googleing and the methods i find say wont work on devices 4.4 and above. Either manually or through apps is fine by me
