Latest Leedroid and ADB/Eclipse - Desire HD General

I just installed the latest leedroid, trying to test my app on different builds. Found an issue and wanted to debug. However, adb can't connect to my device, it sees it but lists it as offline.
Was running cm7 before sans problem. Any ideas anyone?
cheers

Try re-install the adb drivers. You could do this by just installing HTC Sync which should be on your SD card.

Just try rebooting and/or switching the USB port. Fixes it every time I get this problem. (It might be different for you, but it's worth a try)

[Q] Market NOT downloading APPS [Froyo.2.2]

Just hooked up Froyo on my touch HD
My first time using XDANDROIND or any android.
seems to work fine except the market wont download and install apps
It views available apps and searches fine
when you select an App to install in perpetualy says >>>> STARTING DOWNLOAD
And nothing happens even after an hour, tried very small apps also under 1mb
Is this a commen problem?
Any Fixes?
or am i just missing some facts that i should know bout android ports
Thanx!!!
Hi,
I have noticed that once, too. However the latest XDAndroid works good for me, and also the distributions from Neopeek. Check that you have correct carrier and APN:s.
Hope it works out!

Yes, there are newer versions. Check out xdandroid.com. Also update kernels, rootfs etc. accordingly.
Mayby tray reinstall froyo ? Or change SD card .
any1 has a solution for this?
everytime i try to download apps through market, I see the download icon for a sec then it disappears.
When i access the download tab in market, it shows as trying to download, but then says download unsuccessfull.
i am using the full 07 package from the forum, which i think is the newest?

Are you using this build?
If so, that is the newest XDAndroid build for FroYo.
I can't remember specifically this issue - have you tried the usual?
Try a simple reboot. If that doesn't work, try to muck with the Market - clear the cache, perhaps update it? I know updating manually to the newest Market helped my "Market experience" if you will quite a bit.
If that doesn't work, you'll have to try the more drastic measures - first, update everything. Make sure you're on the newest kernel & rootfs. Then try a new data.img (rename or simply delete the old one, all of your user stuff like SMS messages, installed apps, etc will go away). If that still fails, I guess format the card and start over. Format with the HP Tool. Starting fresh is a pain, and I'm not sure that'll resolve your issue... but those are the basic troubleshooting steps for Market issues.
FYI, I followed these steps to update to the newest Market. Just find the APK for the newest version of the Market. Unfortunately our Market doesn't auto-update, not sure if that's possible on our port or not. Manually updating does work fine, although it is a pain.

No wasn't using that build, but using the cab from the other sticky topic "Froyo 2.2, ..."
Tried to use the build you specified, upon startup, I reach the animation of XDANDROID and the phone restarts, going into WM.
I updated the kernel, now the phone freezes on the XDANDROID animation instead of restarting. Gonna try this again and will post back in the relevant forum.
Thanks.

Kindle fire adb driver and utility version question

Quick question... anyone have a link to get the adb driver folder for the KF? And what KFU version should I use. I heard v.9 had problems and I should use v.7. Any truth to this?
Sent from my Kindle Fire using xda premium
use last version - drivers are included - be shure to install theese before using kfu (install_drivers.bat)
Thanks a ton! That was my next question. So pumped to root. Thanks again

The latest version is 9.1 when I last saw, but check and use the most recent. Worked like a charm for me.
Most problems occur when you don't have the proper drivers installed and there is no communication between Windows and the KF, so make sure they can speak.

I've rooted about 4-5 different android phones and the kindle fire. Nothing causes more problems then getting the drivers to work. It's always been the part that causes me problems (if I run into any) and on the internet it's almost always what causes people problems when rooting.

is there a way to tell that my drivers are installed properly and working and I am in good shape to begin the root. I would hate to think that I had installed the drivers properly then begin to root, only to find out that the drives were not installed correctly and f*** my kindle up.
Thanks everybody

I used v.9, and it seems that the utility is having a hard time downloading the TWRP recovery image. I checked the size of the file it downloaded, and it was only about 8 KB, while the actual image is 10 MB. I know v.7 works, though, since I used it initially.

HBO Go App FC

Ok, I've searched around for a solution for this and haven't found one that works yet. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I've done the IMEI patch, removed and reinstalled the app both through manage apps and titanium, clearing cache beforehand both times. I cannot get the HBO Go app to run without FCing on me. I am running the latest Kang build of CM7. Any other thoughts? Thanks.

I'm running an unmodified install of CM7.2 RC0 Mirage, updated as of last night, and am not having any issues signing in to HBO Go. I'm even running at a screen density of 220.
Where exactly is it FCing? I know there were problems authenticating in the past. FWIW, my provider is Charter.
Are you running CM off of SD or eMMC? You could try creating a pristine SD boot and try it there to determine whether it's specific to your current configuration.

I'm using the same CM7 build, sorry associate it with Kang... Anyway, It's FC'ing after the HBO Go screen disappears. I've used it in the past without a problem using a Verizon login. I've tried clearing the cache and I initially get the screen allowing me to select a provider but I can't go any further as it FC's when I try to select something.
I'm running off eMMC. I could reinstall my system but I don't really want to. If it really comes to it I will, but I have many other apps that run just fine. I also have the Max Go app which is the same app as HBO Go and it runs fine.
I was thinking of creating a test SD install just to see if a fresh install fixes it. No need to zap anything you're using today.

I had a thought you might have meant that too. I'll give that a try tomorrow if I get a chance, I have a spare 8gb usd card I can flash.
Ok, so I wiped, installed fresh, restored my apps with titanium and reinstalled HBO Go after IMEI patch. Seems to be working fine now. It was time for a wipe anyway... Kind of annoying though. Thank god for Titanium Backup.

[HOW TO] *New Instructions* Add Amazon VOD to Android Phone

*NEW INSTRUCTIONS*
Today I figured out how to get Amazon Video On Demand app on my phone and watch videos
I did this with a rooted phone, I am not sure if you phone needs to be rooted to accomplish this task. I have attached the required files to accomplish this task. These steps are assuming you have a rooted phone.
REQUIREMENTS:
Download attached APKs
Wireless connectivity
VooDoo OTA for rooted phones (https://market.android.com/details?id=org.projectvoodoo.otarootkeeper)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Copy downloaded APKs to your phone
2. Install each APK and make sure to click DONE after each installs
3. Enable phones Wireless and connect via WiFi
4. Go to your phone SETTINGS>ACCOUNT AND SYNC
5. Press ADD ACCOUNT
6. Press AMAZON and enter your Amazon Prime credentials
7. Start the VooDoo OTA app
8. Press TEMP.UN-ROOT and allow the program to temporarily unroot your phone
9. Reboot your phone
10. When the phone comes up, still be attached via wireless and try your app
I hope this works for everyone who tries, please report your findings
Currently this app only works on wireless it will not work with your cell signal. I am looking to see if I can figure out how to enable the app to use the cell signal, I'm not a developer but I do have an idea to try!
ill try this on my Amaze 4G when i get home
I did all of these on my CM7 mod and "Watch Now" is still grayed out for me.

The only think I can say is that make sure the device is un-rooted and reboot after using the VooDoo OTA
You're just about there!
do you guys think this would work with the bionic?

Are you doing this on a phone or on your Fire?
I wonder if you can remove root from some alternative method and see if you can run VOD, perhaps remove BurritoRoot if that's what you have installed.
There is something about CM7 that amazon does not like. I have never gotten it to work on CM7, even after temp unrooting. But if I did the same thing on a none cm7 rom, it worked fine. Go figure.

It's on a fire. Before I flashed CM7 over, I was running just a rooted fire, and voodo ran just fine allowing amazon video to work when needed. Would be a shame if I couldn't get it to run on CM7.. not a huge loss, just would like to see if it could work on this variant..
That's too bad that it doesn't work on CM7
Maybe I should try it and see what I can find out
will try and post quick feed back
for those of you having problems running this one CW7, according to this link here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1390773 I'm guessing it's the MAC Address issue
Just a guess

EDIT - I flashed the updated/MAC address fix - No wipe ROM, but still a no go... Might have to do a full wipe/install?
This is the ROM: http://www.mediafire.com/?hmdc0lmgvnlbg97
Located in this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1390773&highlight=mac
"If you're upgrading from an EXISTING CM7 install then use this ROM instead. This one will NOT wipe the cache and data partitions which should mean that you can upgrade from one version of CM7 to another without losing any of your existing date (or that's at least the idea)"
I tried this on my CM7 Kindle Didn't Work
I copied the apk's and ran the installs. It won't let me login to Amazon even. I just grabbed the apk's from the Kindle Fire .bin file though. I'll try the ones you have for download in your post and see if they work differently.
Hmm, MAC wasn't the problem
I'm on ICS and when I try to add an Amazon account I get a failure. I've checked my MAC and it's the same as under stock, but what does concern me is my serial number is all 0's.
Has anyone got this to work under ICS? Is everyone's serial number all 0's? Any other hints on how to get VOD working?
its working fine on my amaze 4g!

Beta Driver Issues (326.41)

I am re-downloading the 320.49 Geforece Drivers to install because windows 7 keeps switching to the basic theme and causing my games to crash.
Has any one else had similar issues?

I have not ran into that issue myself. I am currently running 326.41 with a 660ti. Maybe you can try the custom install option and putting a check on clean install.
I always use this option to make sure things install properly.
The issue happens when using the 326.41 beta drivers used for streaming.

I'm sorry I copied the wrong numbers. That is what I get for being lazy.
If someone who has the 320.49 drivers installed can check if you have the streaming service installed that would be great.
also if you have updated to GFE 1.6
I am going to guess it will not be there.
From what I can tell it will not be there, so i added it my self and streaming works on 320.49.
