[Q] [problem] Android wont install

hello,
I have a problem with Android installation, the 1st things is CLRCAD wont launch, and when i start Haret, it shows the black screen (which is normal) then it take a while and finaly just reboot the phone into Windows OS,
to make it clear,
I searched the forum before posting
I tried many android version, and it's all the time the same problem,
I was using android on my phone before
I formated the SDcard
My phone is flashed, and I'm using Enery ROM
if any solution, please help,

clrcad is an executable that won't actually launch anything, you just run it and then move on to haret.
you reformatted the card and searched, so that's good, but starting a thread definitely isn't the right way. ask in the Q&A or in a relevant thread would keep the place clutter-free.
anyways, you have the Android folder on the root of the sd card? the instructions for each build will be clearer, but most follow this rule. have you also tried another sd card, just in case?

yes i have the android folder on the root of my card,
yes i tried an other card
yes i do follow instructions all the time

hopefully someone else will reply then. i'm also using an energy rom, and i just hit clrcad and then haret and i end up booting into android after the initial setup time.

what is your radio version?
some radio version dun work with android. my radio was x.xx.51.xx and droid won't install.
flashed to x.xx.50.xx_x and droid loaded like a charm.
btw,i also loaded energy rom,then did the things you did.only found out that my radio was the problem.flashed that and now on mdj's droid clean...
the only thing now is droid on nand...then its blissssssssssssssssssssss

i also have .50 for the rado version and i tried many ROMs but no luck, i also reflashed my phone

have you tried doing a task29? if you have one of the SD card adapters for the microSD you can plug it direct into your computer and use windows to do the FAT32 format (not just FAT, make sure its FAT32) and reflash your preferred radio and rom combo for winmo. then drop on a fresh copy of android and run it. (i recommend redownloading your favorite build as well)

Check you RAM in WM. If it's 320mb, you can't run Android for now...

all done but still the same problem, task29, update radio, update ROM, flash,

what is the model of your fone?
this should have been the first question i should have asked.
i know i assumed you have a htc leo since you posted here but i just want to make sure.
and give us details.as much as you can.

I am running my HD2 on the stock ROM: RUU_Leo_S_HTC_WWE_3.14.405.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship.exe with SPL 3.03 (Stock, not HSPL). I read carefully instructions, and followed all steps, I am not going to describe them, used following Android build [30.11.2010] MDJ FroYo HD v. 4.0 [Kernel: MDJ S7.3HD].
After Haret.exe HD2 reseted, and there was only white screen with HTC logo quite a while. I soft reseted the phone, and after that reset almost all programs are unable to start, with following message: "The file ‘cecmd’cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found". It does not mean where are they installed, SD card or Phone storage. But not all of them, e.g. Opera 10 still runs. It also refuses to install new programs, installation process immediately ends, with "Installation was unsuccessful" ((
I digged the forum, and somewhere it was proposed to change registry value:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies DWord = 0000101a - Change value from 0 to 1
But I can not do so: I can not run the registry editor, which I have on my HD2 (Total Commander), I can not install new, or install a tweak, and also when trying to edit registry from my PC through activesync connection with CE Registry Editor and Mobile registry editor it returns with error "access denied".
I do not want to make hard reset. I think there should be a solution, other than HR or flashing new cooked ROM.

I found the solution Special THANKS to JZ SmartMort
Following simple steps:
1) Download following file: http://www.internet-tools.co.uk/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/sda_unlock.zip
From archive we need only SDA_ApplicationUnlock.exe
It allows Registry to be edited from PC.
Run it with working Activesync connection
2) Download Mobile Registry Editor: http://www.zipsoft.ru/catalog/mobile_registry_editor-v1_11.html
Also run with working Activesync connection
3) and modify the following keys to the values listed.
("HKLM","Security\Policies\Policies","0000101b","1 ")
("HKLM","Security\Policies\Policies","00001005","4 0")
("HKLM","Security\Policies\Policies","0000101a","1 ")
("HKLM","Security\Policies\Policies","00001001","1 ")
("HKLM","Security\Policies\Policies","00001017","2 4")
It perfectly worked with HD2, but I guess it should work with all WM devices.

There one thing you can do to run Android on your HD2. yes, I have an HD2 too and currently T-Mobile. 8 month experience with it.
I noticed your Radio is 2.08. There is a latest version which is 2.15.50.14. If you flash your radio, it might going to work. Try it though.

Help Required Please

Hi Guys
I currently own an HTC HD2 Window Mobile phone, and for the past few days I have been trying my hardest to run Android via my SD card but with no luck.
I have watched and read all the videos and changed ROMS, Radios the lot but still having trouble.
I have listed my current set up of my phone (Below) and was wondering if the experts out there could give me a little heads up as to where im going wrong.
I have ran the full Android ROM folder from my SD card as suggested but nothing happens, I have also added the Bootloader file to my Main memory but still nothing!!!!
Im currently using a cool windows ROM which I got from here and all seems to be well, just cant get the android to work??
Im also after a standard simple Anroid ROM which im having trouble locating, does anyone know of a good Android ROM to use, anything would be considered

did you try downloading the latest Original HTC ROM un-modded directly from them and SD card install it?
Its possible that the digitiser is just slightly different for one reason or another than other peoples devices which might not play well with the driver?
have you tried out the ultrafruit ROM, that uses a different drive to Pdamatejam so try them both?
it could well be hardware mate, even corrupt RAM can give off some odd behaviour if you didn't get the answer you were looking for before then its likely that we didn't have an answer to help you.
oh PS
im not one for picking up on spelling and grammar etc (mine sucks!) but see the use of ! you don't really need more than 3, like this!!!
more often than not 1 will suffice!

be careful of ultrafruit...i've read it's buggy...you probably want to try yuki/xbmod back to the future rom. just make sure you install the devstoragelock.cab so you can unlock your sd card before flashing another wp7 flavor.
i believe i responded to your original thread and asked which rom you were using and also if you performed the required magdlr prep steps? i don't think you ever answered. the prep steps being 10-services, 5-clear mbr, and 4-uselast24nand...then flash.
perform task29, install magdlr, perform prep, flash.

I ve done whatever u said and still touchscreen is dead...why do i need to unlock the sd card and how do i know that mine isnt unlocked?

yuki/xbmod's bttf rom is the only rom that locks the sd card. if you haven't used bttf then you have nothing to worry about. also, if your sd was locked the card would be useless period. the card would not be recognized by any pc nor phone until unlocked again.
like i said try bttf rom and see if it makes the screen work. i believe hd2o, ansar, and pdajim's, and others use the ultrafruit as their core. bttf is pure original microsoft wp7 base...and was working long before ultrafruit even came out.

if your screen is working with wm6.5 and perhaps android, then for some reason wp7 has interface issues with your phone. i guess the question is does your entire screen work without issues in wm6.5 and/or android. if so, it's a wp7 interface issue...if the screen isn't 100% in wm6.5 then it's probably a digitizer issue.
actually, if you've replaced the digitizer before, it could be the replacement hardware causing
the wp7 interface issue. i guess it depends on the quality of the replacement screen's firmware.

i havnt tried to install em...the screen has been changed before(not by me) but it's not a t-mobile screen...

you need read how to install cabs for wp7. it's very diffeerent than wm6.5. you have to use the cab sender tool. get the base flash exe from my signature...the v2.1 flasher. then go here for info.

it's probably the replacement screen used by the previous owner. you should install android on sd...no flashing required. just reformat your sd to fat32. or you can install in nand.
either case i would recommend this..

Ive tried android and i get stucked to the GO GO GO thing when I am flashing CWM...I dont know what the f is happening or if i am doing something wrong

I'm late to this thread.
OP - have you successfully installed the Yuki BTTF ROM for WP7? That ROM is super stable an no one has complained of the touch screen not working.
All of your posts don't give a conclusive answer that you've successfully installed that ROM. If you had installed it, then your SD card would be locked to that OS. If it were installed and the touchscreen weren't working, then you wouldn't be able to unlock the SD card, as you'd need to use the screen in order to select the storage lock app that you would have installed via cab sender.
Please clean this conversation up by listing exactly what steps you've done and provide links to the ROM's that you've tried.

He has tried installing HD2O and Pdajim's ROMs I believe. He says he installed BTTF and it didn't work which means his SD card is locked. I guess he has other cards to use for moving to android.
What part of this thread do you not get?

you have to use hd2toolkit found in the android for hd2 forum to install nand android. it's an extensive set of instructions on how to install nand android for the hd2. you cannot use magdlr to install nand android.
in order to install sd android, you have follow and setup certain things in magdlr to boot the sd android installation. for sd android you DO NOT flash anything.
go to the android for hd2 forum and read...read...read....ESPECIALLY if you want to flash nand android!

Chinese region problem:
- this problem show when you use first time your Live account with WP7.8 ROM's... this is because all Chinese ROM's automatically lock to China region
SOLVE:
- try reset region (link in my signature) or open new Live account. flash "HD2_Pdaimatejam_Rom_Wp7.5_Tango_7.10.8779.8_v8.4". set your desired region and login with your new Live account. Downlod something from Marketplace to lock region. Now you can flash 7.8 ROM and use Live account...
Problem: 3G or data connection not working in latest Pdaimatejam ROM
- Solve: use 3G cab fix (first link in my signature).
For many other problems read install tutorial from my signature...

Stcuk on windows phone screen
After installing the latest 7.8 rom its stuck on the windows phone screen every time i boot the phone it still doesnt get pass this PLS HELP!

cabSend problem
I updated HTC HD2 to Pdaimatejam Rom Wp7.8 OS 7.10.8858.136 RMT v8.7. This is my first WP7 ROM install. However, when I run CABsender.bat or wCabSender, update of any CAB always fails due error 0x800705B4 : timeout/not enough space. Computer sends CAB to the phone and then phone reboots. After reboot and MAGLDR phone stays black for 30 secs, than it shows "connect USB" image and after 30 seconds it reboots. WP7 says that update was unsuccessful, CAB sender reports error 0x800705B4 "Timeout/not enough space".
I have 4GB SD card and phone recognizes it fine (shows that I have 3.04 of 3.54 GB free). I tried to reflash phone ROM without SD-card, CAB sending has the same problem. I have read about this kind of problem, however it is not clear what can cause this issue.
P.S.although most of the phone and live services work fine, many programs like "Leo advanced", "Program manager", "Connection setup" do not launch.

Somehow it depends on the ROM you used. for example the below ROM developer clearly mentioned Low MIC Volume as "Known Minor Bugs" on his ROM thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=953078

Well, I tried the latest wp 7.8 rom, trying this tutorial: Tutorial Windows Phone 7.8 On HTC HD2 15.Dec.2012 (Windows 8) Full English by JuicyBoose.
But I had a lot of troubles:
1 - Almost all apps don't work:
Office, ie.. etc won't even open!
2 - Wifi don't work:
I share my connection in my computer in wifi using connectify hotspot, it worked fine on android and WM6.5, but don't unable to connect using WP7.8
3 - WP7.8 don't read my memory card:
My Kingston 16Gb SDCard is not recognized...
4 - My changes are not saved:
After changing color of tiles, their size ... When I reboot the phone, it became red, with the same tile sizes in first boot.
Somebody save me? I'm really a huge fan of WP, but cannot run it on my htc LEO

for SDcard no help... you must find other card which work...

I used pdaimatejam ROM, and unfortunately it didn't work fine.
I guess I'll try WP7.5, and try if those things will work on it

7.5 work better for me than 7.8. I could never connect to the internet with 7.8 and with 7.5, I never have a problem.

help about screen

hi, ihad wndows phon 7.8 dynamics on my phone i dont have any problem.when i installed radio 2.12 my scren is turning off on days,and i installed windows 6.5 now,but the screen is not showing any thing and its black,i had this problem with some android roms,what am i doing now?
the installing winphone 7 i should change setting the magldr and i cant see the screen to change setting
please help me

2 hours are not enough
If 2.12 radio is giving you the problem, why not flash 2.15 (or whatever you were on) radio back?

yes,i changed the radio to 2.15 and installed the winphone,last night i dont have the problem but this day i have this,what is the problem?what am i doing?changing the its very dificualt when dont have screen and when i changing or reisntalling the rom problem is fixing !!!

I remember you have had this issue when you wanted help with something else, maybe the device is faulty? If the device is not functioning properly under Windows Mobile 6.5, then it almost certainly requires hardware repair.

when i installed windows 6.5, i dont have problem,i think this problem is about my sd card,because my sd card is chard,and when i installing windows phon,the installer on pc give me eror create partision sd card,and i should to format sd card and reinstalling again windows phone,and this day when i want to install zip file from my recovery,i have this problem to and its saying no sd card and i should to formating again,how about your view?
now i installed android nand on my phone,and tomorow i testing,if i have this problem to,maybe my problem is not about software

If you're suspecting an SD-card issue, simply try another card. If it's working fine, then I recommend ditching your old one and getting a new one. Even if you format it and it works once, that doesn't mean you won't have problems with your OS in the future. Better safe than sorry.

Did you change the sdcard? (although this sounds like a hardware thing)

It could be the infamous digitizer thing, or the sd card that you refuse to change

Hi my friend,
not alone is the radio your problem, should be 2.15, but I also think you have a hardware problem with your display (connection with motherboard). The only way to test this out, is the following:
1. Dowmload with your S/N the official HTC HD2 3.15 ROM
2, Connect your device with laptop/PC and flash thus original ROM, you will than have also Radio 2.15
3. After installing perform a HR and thereafter a SR and see what your display does. Do not install anything else but the original ROM and look for two days what wour display does.
and, oh yes, perform a HR (windows - setings - system - vlean storage) before performing these 3 steps,

i dont now!i installed winphone 6.5 energy and its not launched and the screen turned off!!!
what am i doing?
