most of them can.if the camera is red ,it could be better

does your defy+ has gb 2.3.4 or 2.3.6?

Well, I tryed Defy+ today and I am not so impressed. It is not so big, but it not fits in my hand. I also tryed Samsung Galaxy Ace and it better fits. But image is sharper on Defy then on Ace.

but smaller phone mean smaller screen and lesser resolution and hence poorer images
ace has 3.5" screen at 320x480 res while defy has 3.7" screen with 854x480 res.......
actually i'm very surprised ace was 320x480 when it's only slightly smaller than the defy. an indication that it's not on the same class as defy
the big plus for ace is it doesn't have a locked bootloader.

This resolution on Ace isnt good specially in games. Defy is much better but if u search for phone that match to your hand, get Ace, if u wanna better phone in numbers and use, take DEFY

yes you can
but you gotta change the kernal

Even though I got my new phone back in July I think it's also necessary to say thank you Mur4ik and all you other rom developers! Swiftdroid was always my rom of choice, I kinda miss CM7 but it's not available on the Galaxy Ace yet thanks all anyway

Absaloutly pal. Ill be swaping my sensation after a week or so for a Galaxy S2 so i can compare the 2 dual core Demons.
For sensation (stock) 2700 - 3100
GS2 (stock) 3200-3400
GS2 with custom rom 4100's haha quite a significant difference from the Gt540.

Its very easy , and there loads of tutorials on how to.
What you need to do is , Root bye superoneclick,Get clockwork from rom manager, then flash a XXJVQ or what ever from Samfirmware.com then install the rom .zip Easier than our phones (KDZ updater)
The easiest will still be the nexus series all u need to do is boot into boot loader unlock and flash a new rom

You dont actually need to flash CMW, Samsung Stock Recovery works fine for installing .zip's

Its really easy, to root: install update.zip in Samsung recovery, unrooting is the same and then you install CMW from ROM manager

Try flashing the GB kernel, there's a rare chance it might wrk..

Already fixed the battery problem?
You can root using the method from dev section (the bl7 method, use only then). Afterwards instal 2nt Init. Now you can instal custom ROMs again (only the defy+ ones). After that you might also have to flash a battery fix.
But camera will most likely never work for you without a new defy sbf released.

Hello...Please help! I had an old green lens motorola defy mb 525 that I wanted to upgrade for my 12 year old son (he lost his old phone ). Now I have the same problem stated above... Is there anyway to fix it nowadays? I had the mb525 running froyo and now I have the gingerbread 2.3.6 but the camera is not working at all.

MB525, green lens. From android 2.1 to 4.* ICS.

Hello!
I am new here, also i have no experience. I own a Motorola Defy MB525, with green lens, the android version of the device is 2.1 update.
Because, i am lost through the vast amount of info , i would like to advice and suggest me, a way to upgrade my device to android ICS, if that's not too much trouble. The device is already rooted. Also i don't use windows on my pc, i use linux, openSUSE 12.2 distro.
I want to thank you for your time and effort to answer my inquiry.

Both MB525 and 526 have the OMAP3630 processor. In MB525 it is underclocked to 800Mhz, while in MB526 it is clocked at 1Ghz.

The problems I am facing with the original rom now, is that I can not save data or photos on my sd card and I can not use the youtube app, because it says that I have no connection. But i can i browse through the web, check my emails and download apps via play store.
So I've taken the decision, that it is time flash another rom in my device.
Where do I download 2ndinit?
Thanks in advance.
I've finally got CM7 in my android. I love the GUI. It's like having a new phone in my hands.
The next step is to get android 4.x if it's possible.

MB525 with MB526 ROM, help !

Hi guys, need your help.
I have a MB525 that was flashed with a stock local operator ROM but for the MB526. As a result I have no camera now. I believe the version is 2.3.5.
What are my options to upgrade this ROM to a proper 525 one and get the camera working again?
Thank you in advance

To use camera root and flash a 2ndboot ROM. I think you can try a fixed SBF, though I'm not sure about the details.
