MB525 with MB526 ROM, help ! - Defy Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys, need your help.
I have a MB525 that was flashed with a stock local operator ROM but for the MB526. As a result I have no camera now. I believe the version is 2.3.5.
What are my options to upgrade this ROM to a proper 525 one and get the camera working again?
Thank you in advance

To use camera root and flash a 2ndboot ROM. I think you can try a fixed SBF, though I'm not sure about the details.

Hehe, and wait to see CM11. KitKat was redesigned to work with 512mb devices, as our defy.
I tried the alpha version and it leaves 275mb free.

My 525 flashed with 526 works fine XD what ROM are you using?

Unfortunately, you flashed a Defy+ full SBF, you CANNOT downgrade it..
Try flashing the GB kernel, there's a rare chance it might wrk..

okay sir thanks a lot
Already fixed the battery problem?
You can root using the method from dev section (the bl7 method, use only then). Afterwards instal 2nt Init. Now you can instal custom ROMs again (only the defy+ ones). After that you might also have to flash a battery fix.
But camera will most likely never work for you without a new defy sbf released.

Hello!
I am new here, also i have no experience. I own a Motorola Defy MB525, with green lens, the android version of the device is 2.1 update.
Because, i am lost through the vast amount of info , i would like to advice and suggest me, a way to upgrade my device to android ICS, if that's not too much trouble. The device is already rooted. Also i don't use windows on my pc, i use linux, openSUSE 12.2 distro.
I want to thank you for your time and effort to answer my inquiry.

Both MB525 and 526 have the OMAP3630 processor. In MB525 it is underclocked to 800Mhz, while in MB526 it is clocked at 1Ghz.

I am rooted all ready.
The problems I am facing with the original rom now, is that I can not save data or photos on my sd card and I can not use the youtube app, because it says that I have no connection. But i can i browse through the web, check my emails and download apps via play store.
So I've taken the decision, that it is time flash another rom in my device.
Where do I download 2ndinit?
Thanks in advance.
I've finally got CM7 in my android. I love the GUI. It's like having a new phone in my hands.
The next step is to get android 4.x if it's possible.
