Just like the title says, any methods for restoring root? Maybe nachoroot? Im trying to get the sixaxis app working again. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
What update, do you mean to tell me you just updated your Asus Transformer (TF101, not prime) with an OTA Asus Stock version of ICS? Because you would be the first if this is true.
pretty sure he is talking about the tf201..
There are 3 possibilities here, either:
1. You are mistaking your Asus Transformer Prime TF201, for the Asus Trabnsformer TF101 like the above poster said.
2. You are mistaking the last Honeycomb firmware update from Asus for the ICS firmware update.
3. You really got the update for your TF101 (not likely) But I'm hopeful

Well, unfortunately right now, the only way you could have kept root is if you had done some steps before hand.... You'll have to wait for an ICS exploit, or downgrade, re-root, use OTA rootkeeper, then update to ICS.... If you have ICS though, don't go and try to downgrade... in case you got the OTA by accident.
No one else, inlcuding the devs has the ICS update yet. If you do indeed have it, and the rest of us start getting it, a root exploit should be following within a week or two..
What is your location geographically? (country/city)
Could you post some screenshots to confirm?
If it is indeed true, we should try and pull it from your device so the devs can make a flashable ROM.

A screenshot can be performed by pressing and holding the running applications or multitask button, it looks like 2 rectangles. Otherwise, just take a picture with your phone or other camera and upload it asap, you can understand that people are anxious to see if your claims are legit or not.

I think ICS would still have the same function.
Instructions for Screenshots without any app:
Settings > then go to Asus custom settings > Check box for screenshots.
Once enabled, hold down recent apps tab and it'll take a screenshot.
Hold down Power and Volume Down if it's like the G Nexus it should take a screenshot. Go!

You download it to your sd card and boot into ACER RECOVERY to initiate the update. you have to come from a certain build in order to use it though. Visit Vache's thread regarding OTA updates for more info.

Downloads fine. Right click and save target as to wherever you want.
Be responsible and read up before you try to update unofficially.
.10 is an incremental update for .08 which is a US Version of 3.1.
If you attempt going from .38 or .40 which are foreign versions, you'll likely end up messing something up or having issues later on regarding apps, the market or future updates.
Likewise, if you attempt going straight from 3.0.1 to 3.1 using this update, you'll likely end up in misery.
Read, read, read. You've been warned.
Good Luck.
Update:
It's come to my attention through user qhinton that there is a full ROM update of .10. Note that the file kappen has posted is the INCREMENTAL and not the FULL ROM.
I have not verified qhinton's claims. Just keep in mind that you must now be extra careful not to update with the incorrect version. You may just be better off waiting for the OTA.

That is VERY interesting indeed, let me get this straight, you went from 1.141.02 (3.0.1) to 4.010.10? (3.1)
How big was the file you got?
I haven't read of a single other person getting such an update. Once I am able to verify what you've said I'll draw some conclusions. If it is the case then .10 must come in a 2 flavors and people will have to be even more careful about how they update.
It would mean there's an incremental (~47MB) version to take people from .08 and a full ROM to take people from anything earlier than .08.
Edit: OK you answered my question while I was typing it
So there are definitely 2 versions then, an incremental and a full ROM. Thanks for the information. I'll update my previous post.

Please download alogcat from the market and run during acceptance of the update so we can log the ota location and make it available to the less fortunate.
If you can't figure out alogcat, Whenever you get an update prompt on your tablet, look in the /cache/recovery of your tablet while it's downloading and copy and paste the filename somewhere then you can post it publically and it can be downloaded from something that looks like this - http://cdn.acer.futuredial.com/Acer_...xxxxxxxxxx.zip
I had 4.010.04 when it downloaded after I posted this I tried to apply it and got a error I just assumed it was because I was still rooted and had the Acer recovery flashed on my a500. I was at work so left it alone until I could get some more free time.

You could try doing a factory restore of your tablet in the system settings/privacy menu. This worked for me. It will wipe all your settings and installed applications so be forewarned.
I am beginning to NOT trust these Acer updates. My A500 was brand new out of the box and had just applied a small OTA update. I had to factory reset it again after that for the larger 330mb update to work.
Rob
Installing this OTA update will make it so you can't use RSD lite to flash a SBK from an earlier version.
This is important because if for any reason you mess up your phone beyond repair and want to go back to a "stock" state, you will not be able to use the SBK files we currently have.
It will cause your phone to brick (as we have seen with the SAME file that was leaked a couple of weeks ago) if you go back to an earlier version via RSD.
Rooting after update. (Confirmed working on page 20)

Typically, the ota updates mess up the permissions on the su binary, which breaks root. If you have cwm installed for the recovery, it might not flash, and even if it did, then it might fail because the updater-script expects and check that it's working on a stock system.

No, you are not completely right.
It must be possible somehow since the Asus Service Centre of my country (Hungary) offered me to put back the ICS ROM when I complained about the bugs of the JB upgrade. They wrote me they would do it free of charge, covering by the warranty, because my ROM it's pure stock, without unlocking.
It's another story that now, after receiving the fresh OTA update I may not want to get back to ICS...

Wouldn't they have the tools necessary to flash literally everything, so any old stuff including bootloader would effectively be overwritten, and then no problem for reverting back
I suspect that they have dedicated hardware for this purpose, makes it way more secure

Yeah i'm sure they know since they built it. To bad they will probably never let us know

I'm too scared to try it, but I might be tempted if someone with NVFlash that can recover if it doesn't work, but the following link HERE says we can revert to the .30 ICS Bootloader from the .13 JB Bootloader.
Can anyone confirm or willing to test the capability for me?

It is already confirmed by xplowild on his CM10 thread. He was using NVflash to jump back all the time.
Because I am on JB I cant confirm it myself, cause I cant use NVflash

The thread talks about downgrading from .13 to .30 by flashing the .30 firmware update WITHOUT using the nvflash, that's what I was wondering if it was confirmed to be able to downgrade to ICS to the .30 firmware without needing NVflash?

There is no way. I tried all methods. You cant get the old Bootloader to flash, because of the signature missmatch
BTW
You can flash any ICS Rom over JB. It just want boot. So its not in any use to do so.
Just never do the bootloader wipe and you will be fine with fastboot.

Anyone have any of the threads where someone bricked going from JB to ICS? I have searched and searched with no examples!
I actually tried flashing ICS over JB as an attempt to downgrade. This was my process.
I tried flashing a custom ICS rom, and nothing happened, practically. Of course, I wiped the Rom, so when I tried to reboot, I was warned that no Rom existed. I tried flashing the stock rom from Asus, and that did not work either. So I use fastboot to push the ICS recovery to the tablet. When I attempted to reboot, it failed. When I tried to get back into recovery, I received a message under the message "This device is unlocked" in red letters saying, "Signature mismatch." At this point, my stomach was in my throat. I rebooted into flashboot, and sent the jb recovery image back to my tab. This was when I reflashed a custom JB Rom, and gave up. I know that I could've tried using fastboot to push both the bootloader from Asus and an ICS recovery image, but seeing those red letters was enough warning for me.
So I'm now JB for life, and I'm fine with that!
Who need ICS back? I think that Jelly Bean is just great on this tablet (at least with a custom rom). I upgrated and I never looked back lol
NVFlash!
I should have said this is in reply to geldebanho
Sorry for the confusion..

To be honest, I did not necessarily want to go back to ICS, but I didn't like the thought that I couldn't. Rebellious human nature... . I flash between GB and ICS on my phone on a daily basis.
