Does it still set the encryption flag, so we can't record the HDMI signal?

Fixed my Panasonic HDMI issue too! Woohoo!

I guess if you rooted with razorclaw, you should wait until someone releases a rooted version.

Typically, the ota updates mess up the permissions on the su binary, which breaks root. If you have cwm installed for the recovery, it might not flash, and even if it did, then it might fail because the updater-script expects and check that it's working on a stock system.

Any idea, how long it takes, when we can root the new version?

you will have to wait until new exploit is found and razorclaw is updated until then you will be stuck with non-root. Upside stock asus rom is not that bad compared to other tabs.

Sprint rolling out minor bug fix for the HTC EVO 4G

"androidandmedotcom/2010/09/carriers/sprint/sprint-rolling-out-minor-bug-fix-for-the-htc-evo-4g"
While Samsung Captivate owners are grabbing their GPS fix, HTC EVO 4G owners might want to check their handsets for an update as well. Sprint is pushing out a new update (3.29.651.5) today which should address some issue that EVO users have been complaining about for a while.
The minor update fixes the calendar editing and multiple Gmail account sync problems. I have not been able to download the new firmware update yet, but if you want to manually check for the update, follow the steps below. As usual, Sprint is being pretty quiet about the update, so we have no indication as to how fast it will be rolling out to all HTC EVO 4G users.
Manually check for System Update
From the home screen, press Menu
Select Settings
Scroll down and select System updates
Select Firmware update
Engadget is suggesting possible FPS fix...

Will update potentially eliminate Unrevoked 3.21 Root?
I've not heard a decisive answer on this one. But is it safe to assume that a Sprint update will reverse my EVO's rooting via Unrevoked 3.21 or possibly cause problems with the device?
Not firmware update....HTC software update
Wow, there is an update coming out today. Would have never known if it wasn't for all the other posts about this in the correct section......

It'll probably be in your sdcard download or downloads folder. Then usb it or email it to a pc (generic sense) then post it. I haven't tried to load attachments from the evo to the forum, though that would also be a method. You may even be able to use "share"..

If you care about root and having CWM installed I would not update to stock 3.2 using OTA. Just grab one of the 3.2 updates in the development thread so you can retain root. But if just want plain stock 3.2 and you have CWM installed, you need to revert back to the stock recovery first otherwise it will fail.

What update, do you mean to tell me you just updated your Asus Transformer (TF101, not prime) with an OTA Asus Stock version of ICS? Because you would be the first if this is true.
pretty sure he is talking about the tf201..
There are 3 possibilities here, either:
1. You are mistaking your Asus Transformer Prime TF201, for the Asus Trabnsformer TF101 like the above poster said.
2. You are mistaking the last Honeycomb firmware update from Asus for the ICS firmware update.
3. You really got the update for your TF101 (not likely) But I'm hopeful

Well, unfortunately right now, the only way you could have kept root is if you had done some steps before hand.... You'll have to wait for an ICS exploit, or downgrade, re-root, use OTA rootkeeper, then update to ICS.... If you have ICS though, don't go and try to downgrade... in case you got the OTA by accident.
No one else, inlcuding the devs has the ICS update yet. If you do indeed have it, and the rest of us start getting it, a root exploit should be following within a week or two..
What is your location geographically? (country/city)
Could you post some screenshots to confirm?
If it is indeed true, we should try and pull it from your device so the devs can make a flashable ROM.

A screenshot can be performed by pressing and holding the running applications or multitask button, it looks like 2 rectangles. Otherwise, just take a picture with your phone or other camera and upload it asap, you can understand that people are anxious to see if your claims are legit or not.

I think ICS would still have the same function.
Instructions for Screenshots without any app:
Settings > then go to Asus custom settings > Check box for screenshots.
Once enabled, hold down recent apps tab and it'll take a screenshot.

This is the complete update and not OTA.
You should see this update as formatting your tablet and installing from scratch.
ViperMOD which is found in the Transformer Prime forums should be able to help you restore root.

HELL YEEEEESSSS
How Universal are these Kernels?
My concern, implementing these kernels without cross referencing the serials for applicability within a given SKU group could lead to future problems. I have two US tabs that behave differently after upgrading to ICS, I strongly suggest that device differences be addressed first before doing any dev work on these kernels.

Unlock unlock unlock. Anyone anywhere seen any unlocker for the TF101?
Didn't Asus promise that one "quickly" after the TF201 tool?
With TF201 having ICS, having ICS issues resolved, having ICS sources and bootloader unlocker released, and TF101 having ICS out, issue resolves, source out...
The only thing missing is the bootloader unlocker. Where is Asus on this one? I haven't heard anything in ages.
