Not bad bud, good explanations of the device, the only points I'd like to make is the quality of your video is quite low so moving freely reduces the appearance of a decent looking video. Also I think there is too much music going on in the background.. But these maybe are just personal preference.

I adore the Galaxy Note ... you can probably tell from the review that I have enormous hands so this is just right for me!
Thanks everyone for your kind words and constructive comments. Maybe I'll do some more things in the future.
I did do a video scratch test on the Note but I deleted it by mistake... don't really want to risk it a second time!

Nice vid Dom. I agree with jamieross that the background music is a bit intrusive, also you give the wrong screen resolution; it's 1280x800 not 720. Apart from that,
enjoyed it.
Thanks Raines43!
...So generally I should use less loud music and don't make it 4am so I misquote stupid facts.

Very nice but you quoted the screen res wrong. You said its 1280 x 720 (like Nexus?) but its actually a wider 1280 x 800. This is why it doesn't fit in the hand as easily as the Nexus.
It looked like a tech review on a BBC program. I wish more stuff on youtube was as good as this first attempt. So 4.5 stars. Would be 5 stars if you got the res correct. Well done!

But really - I've never spoken in my other videos apart from a couple of voice recognition ones so I do genuinely appreciate and want feedback. It seems in general that I have a terrible choice in music and audio levels so hopefully the next time I do a review (Galaxy S III?!) it'll be much better!

Hi all, you may have seen me about on these forums before. Basically I'm one of the Samsung Mobilers for the UK.
I've got a chance to go to MWC 2012 in Barcelona (which of course i could report back on all the latest mobile news), but i just need people to watch my video on the galaxy note and maybe give me some feedback? (it's a demo video for samsung really to show i'd be suitable to go to MWC) I'd be very grateful.
I'll also have plenty of other samsung reviews on my channel and are willing to take requests for videos/blogposts of any features on the following samsung gadgets: Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy S2, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Tab 10.1, Samsung 3D bluray player and Samsung Series 7 Chronos laptop.
Heres the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ope5cpwcBg
Many Thanks in advance
Stacey
I've posted a comment on your video to make it look good.
Thank you kind sir
first off, you need to get a better camera.
not criticizing, just giving an advice, people tend to skip a video if the quality is not good!
other then that, u got the skills....
Stop saying "you know..."
Point out that the Super AMOLED screen can be seen in full daylight, even with polarizing sunglasses on (unlike a certain fruit named devices)
Might be worth trawling through this thread for GNote ideas:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1407787
And I'd advise scripting your video so you don't get those pauses when you're thinking about what's next.
Might also be worth recording each "feature" as a separate chunk of video then stitching it together.
That way you can "retake" any bits you don't like without having to re-do the whole video...

A couple of points.
* Lighting is very important, I don't like reviews where I can't see the device clearly.
* It's a big device, show how it would look talking with it, and where would you carry it.
* Edit your videos as recommended before.
Try to answer potential questions from the device.

Friends,
I thought I should share this review video I came across. I have gone through so many galaxy note reviews, but this has been straight up the best. Really feel connected, and I think a lot of the galaxy note current users who love the phone would connect with the review a lot.. and those who are still thinking of buying a Note, definitely check it out.
Excellent review but you should have posted it in the review thread, I can smell the Ganja...
Interesting. I've come to the stage with the SGS2 where I need to gift it to my partner & get a new phone, it being a bit small now it seems to me. I've wondered about the SGS3 but that may not be a lot bigger, 4.65 rumor? So bottom line, the Note is really OK for everyday use?

the Note is supreme, the one to rule them all...The only thing I can see missing is IR port, so it could be used as a TV remote, then it would have been the complete phone..the ultimate..
Ericsson P800 had everything, it was supreme...crappy screen and touch function, but not far from the best.

That is such a cute video. even it you were to take out the note from the equation the elephant and woman communicating is the cutest thing and warms my heart.
I have a parrot and he frequently learns words to communicate with me. He actually repeats the email sound to get my attention and I won't even mention the sound I have set for whatsapp.
Animals are so cool. I love them. And if this lady and elephant bond better and more quickly over the note then I'm happier than ever. Hehe.
Awesome video.

ok... I have the Note already... Now where can I buy an elephant? Any online retailer shipping to US?
I think it's odd how many people say the Note is too big, or you will look funny holding the phone up to your ear. I make at least 40 calls a day, and I do not use a headset, and not once has anyone said I look funny holding the phone to my ear. Maybe I do look funny, but nobody has ever mentioned it, or even looked at me funny. I think the first few days I used the Note, I felt a little weird, but now I don't even think about the phone size.

If someone doesn't want to get the Note because he or she "will look funny with it" and not because it's too big or any other actual reason - there's something wrong with that person, not the phone. Enough said

I agree w. OP. I am a Prof on a 3 campus university. I am always walking around them and the research labs. I have no problems with putting the Note in my front pocket, talking on the phone with it my ear, using it with one hand and of course being able to do email, schedule, find a room number of a meeting - all while on the fly walking w/ or w/o the pen and usually using the dead accurate voice commands and dictation - never get a strange look.
I use the note like a computer and get things done with such less frustration than past phones ( moving between touch, pen and voice and using allot of gesture controls for speed). I am on one campus when a crisis happens on another ( I am a Grad Chair for a Interactive CS school on one campus and Dir of another small program in Cog Sci on another), checking email and voice inputting a reply or room number or person to call - saves me hours of frustration if I had let the problem grow and not made a quick fix or alleviated with a quick email.
The phone is a godsend and the 'it just looks to big for me being on my hip bus in Manhattan with my hipster friends ( hey I grew up in Manhattan) is just stupid press BS which we have to read all the time. Although 5 million of us know better.

Years back, the smallest phone was the trend and if you owns a small expensive phone, you would be the talk of the room! But nowadays, large device/screens are the growing tend. 4.3-4.6 inches screens seems to be the most popular but I think it won't be too long before the majority of people would adopt a 4.8 or 5.5 inches phone!
Thing is we all like to browse websites/check emails/watch photos and videos on the go, and to be able to do this with ease, we need more screen space. The Dell Streak 5 was great but it was built with very outdated hardware/specs. Samsung definitely has won the consumers by making the Note stands out of the market with the S Pen and some top hardware specs.

bwaghahahahhh, that was funny. This guy is pretty good. I'd have to agree with the presentation being very bland and lacking passion. It is kind of sad because for some it will probably take focus away from how awesome this phone actually is. And it's also kind of mind blowing that they don't spend the resources needed to make the presentation perfect. There must be some management issues.
Yes it could be better... a lot more.
