[Q] Missing the music widget - what did YOU do ? - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 General

I don't know what Samsung have been thinking about - but the standard media widget is gone.
Anyone found a decent replacemnet ?

Poweramp ofcourse...

not looking for another player . I guess media buttons on BT, madia info over BT and just a simple "press play/pause" to start on BT or cable to start playing will be broken, (or routed to other player).
or - is the player your default player and handles everything right away ?

I would post this in Q&A, where it belongs

audio controls in Media Hub?

Ok, I been searching for a while now and can't find it. Maybe it was at ppc geeks but they seem down for the last day or so.
My Bell Touch had WMPlayer as the default audio player in the media hub. With media player playing a song, I can pull up the media hub screen and see a mini player with my "music", "photos", and "video" icons shrunk. if I change the player default to use audio manager I lose the mini player. In the past someone posted a tweak to utilize the mini audio control using audio manager, but I have since Hard reset my phone and forgotten the tweak.
I know that the HTC Touch Default is to have Audio Manager in the Media Hub and the mini player being utilized. I have done the tweak in the past so I know it works. I just can't find it in the registry.
Any help would be appreciated.

Audio Booster randomly shutting down

I posted about this problem a couple of pages ago. I did some additional observations and it seems that the Audio Booster has a main problem with windows media player (and all the players that use the media player engine, like the HTC Music player, s2p etc.)
However, when I play my music with Conduits Pocket Player I have no problems whatsoever with the Audio Booster. (Fortunately...)
Maybe it's my partical device which is fooling with me, maybe not. I don't know. Are there others users experiencing simular issues with the Audio Booster?
Same issue here... I think it is a massive bug in it.
As I experienced it is stop when the device is go to standby (or I send to there) and happening after the player is jump to the next song. It isn't randomly. I can do it anytime.
Just try it:
Play music - turn on the Audio Booster - go to standby - wait for the next song - go back from standby =>>> The Audio Booster is already OFF
Sad story... I hope they will repair soon.

I experienced that it turns off after each song, I fixed this by pressing the home button rather than the Done softkey, this keeps it running in the background.
Just a quick question. Do you guys have a lot of music files on your MicroSD card? I have 14 gig of music, maybe the music app can't handle that.
Furthermore I have all my album art embedded in the mp3 files. Maybe that causes the booster to quit?
I ask this because I'm really astonished that this problem isn't reported much more on HD2 fora.
I have only 4gig so I don't think so that is the problem.

You mean using for example CorePlayer 1.3.5 is not detected the problem? Maybe as a temporary solution and we could see how to change the CorePlayer and application of music by default (if it works) because even though we're listening to music with another application which not either HTC or Windows by pressing the button on the remote change of composition of the headphones these applications are launched.
Told me I look good, the translation is from google but may not express myself clearly enough.

better Playlist editor????

Hi all,
I have been trying to find a music player in the Market that can help me make playlists more easily.
In particular...
able to pick multiple songs out of different albums and not have to start over at the beginning of ALL THE ALBUMs!
Does anyone.. use a good music player that they can recommend?
Also on wish list but not required at this point:
-have stereo Bluetooth
-can control the music player with my Bluetooth headphone device
-has an equalizer
-have controls on the lock screen (similar to HTC's player)
Thanks for help.
Dan
No music player other than HTC's will be able to have lock screen controls.
The lack of EQ is due to limitations in Android's audio API. There is a player in Market that claims to have it, but it's $30... There's a free version, but I haven't tried it, because my headphones are decent enough that I don't need it.
I use MixZing specifically because it lets me queue up things from different categories. I don't use actual playlists though. No idea how well it deals with Bluetooth.
I just found a program to fix Bluetooth button on headsets.
claims to fix the other players.. so your headset can control the new player.
It must be new... because there were no comments by any user.
it is called: "Headset Button Fix"
but it requires the HTC player be removed.
If I do remove the HTC Player...
How do I get it back if it is not what I want??
thanxs

Can HD2 headphones control a different music app ?

Hi,
Apologies if this has already been raised but I've done the usual searches and can't find an answer to this one.......
I've had it with the standard music player with the HD2 as it won't shuffle songs properly (my main use). I'm now using Kinoma Freeplay - does anyone know of a way that I can change the way that the play/pause function works so that it works with Kinoma rather than the standard music player ?
I know this is a long-shot - was just hoping it was a registry fix........
Ta,
Inclement
+1 ! I had asked the same question some times ago with no answer, maybe we will have more luck this time around

External Music Control

I own a Venturi Mini, which is a in-car FM Transmitter/Bluetooth unit. As well as being a hands-free kit it also connects as a bluetooth stero headset to my HD and transmits the music via FM to my stereo. It's a lovely piece of kit.
On the unit, as well as being able to dial and hangup there are play, pause, stop, fast forward & rewind controls. These used to operate the music player in Manilla.
I have recently flashed to one of the Stonehenge roms, but now the controls on the venturi connect to Media Player. If I am alreasy playing music through the unit from manilla and then press, for example, fast forward, the manilla player stops and media player opens on it's library plage.
This is annoying. The manilla player is nice and finger friendly as well as having simple visuals. This is great for driving.
Does anybody know if there are any windows settings or registry values I can change to determine which music player an external bluetooth headset controls. I don't mind if I ended up with it fixed to the manilla player or to whichever player is in focus.
Thank you in advance.
Once I wrote the above message I saw a couple of approriate keywords in the list at the bottom which helped me make my searches more appropriate.
Below are a few threads relating to this issue. It appears to be between the bluetooth driver and WM6.5
I can't yet post links so look for the following threads:
