Can HD2 headphones control a different music app ? - HD2 General

Hi,
Apologies if this has already been raised but I've done the usual searches and can't find an answer to this one.......
I've had it with the standard music player with the HD2 as it won't shuffle songs properly (my main use). I'm now using Kinoma Freeplay - does anyone know of a way that I can change the way that the play/pause function works so that it works with Kinoma rather than the standard music player ?
I know this is a long-shot - was just hoping it was a registry fix........
Ta,
Inclement

+1 ! I had asked the same question some times ago with no answer, maybe we will have more luck this time around

Audio Booster randomly shutting down

I posted about this problem a couple of pages ago. I did some additional observations and it seems that the Audio Booster has a main problem with windows media player (and all the players that use the media player engine, like the HTC Music player, s2p etc.)
However, when I play my music with Conduits Pocket Player I have no problems whatsoever with the Audio Booster. (Fortunately...)
Maybe it's my partical device which is fooling with me, maybe not. I don't know. Are there others users experiencing simular issues with the Audio Booster?
Same issue here... I think it is a massive bug in it.
As I experienced it is stop when the device is go to standby (or I send to there) and happening after the player is jump to the next song. It isn't randomly. I can do it anytime.
Just try it:
Play music - turn on the Audio Booster - go to standby - wait for the next song - go back from standby =>>> The Audio Booster is already OFF
Sad story... I hope they will repair soon.

I experienced that it turns off after each song, I fixed this by pressing the home button rather than the Done softkey, this keeps it running in the background.
Just a quick question. Do you guys have a lot of music files on your MicroSD card? I have 14 gig of music, maybe the music app can't handle that.
Furthermore I have all my album art embedded in the mp3 files. Maybe that causes the booster to quit?
I ask this because I'm really astonished that this problem isn't reported much more on HD2 fora.
I have only 4gig so I don't think so that is the problem.

You mean using for example CorePlayer 1.3.5 is not detected the problem? Maybe as a temporary solution and we could see how to change the CorePlayer and application of music by default (if it works) because even though we're listening to music with another application which not either HTC or Windows by pressing the button on the remote change of composition of the headphones these applications are launched.
Told me I look good, the translation is from google but may not express myself clearly enough.

better Playlist editor????

Hi all,
I have been trying to find a music player in the Market that can help me make playlists more easily.
In particular...
able to pick multiple songs out of different albums and not have to start over at the beginning of ALL THE ALBUMs!
Does anyone.. use a good music player that they can recommend?
Also on wish list but not required at this point:
-have stereo Bluetooth
-can control the music player with my Bluetooth headphone device
-has an equalizer
-have controls on the lock screen (similar to HTC's player)
Thanks for help.
Dan
No music player other than HTC's will be able to have lock screen controls.
The lack of EQ is due to limitations in Android's audio API. There is a player in Market that claims to have it, but it's $30... There's a free version, but I haven't tried it, because my headphones are decent enough that I don't need it.
I use MixZing specifically because it lets me queue up things from different categories. I don't use actual playlists though. No idea how well it deals with Bluetooth.
I just found a program to fix Bluetooth button on headsets.
claims to fix the other players.. so your headset can control the new player.
It must be new... because there were no comments by any user.
it is called: "Headset Button Fix"
but it requires the HTC player be removed.
If I do remove the HTC Player...
How do I get it back if it is not what I want??
thanxs

problem solved with HTC sense music player disorganising tracks

Hi,
Just thought I would put this on here becasue I have seen a few posts with people having this problem, where ITunes purchases were playing in the incorrect order in the sense player. I tried quite a few programs and none of them seemed to work, media monkey seemed to destroy quite a bit. So I got dBpoweramp music converter and it works a treat. It lets you edit the ID3 tags to whatever you like it has an easy to use interface and finaly my tracks are playing in the right order on sense music player. I did have to convert them to mp3 but that's a better choice to have anyway as it is far more universal than m4a.
Cheers

Syncing Music to the Google Nexus

Hello,
I've been viewing the XDA forums for a long time now, with never needing to post a question as I usually find my question asked & answered by someone else.
But in this case, I was unable to find a direct answer to a question(s) i have.
I have a Google Nexus (for 3 weeks now) which I have flashed the ROM to NexDesire 1.2 ROM to make use of the HTC widgets (mainly the music app). Now before and after adding this ROM I have tried numerous of times to sync my playlists and music (using media monkey or WMP) to my device, which have failed to completely sync all my songs due to some of my songs being in WMA format and some songs being DRM protected (i believe).
Now my questions are:
1. Is there a way to apply codecs to my phone\ROM in order to play WMA files? Or would I have to convert all WMA files to either MP3 or MP4 in order to have them played on my device.
2. Each time I sync playlists, they fail to appear on my phone (although the music appears), is there a way to sync playlists properly? My playlists are currently in .M3U form.
3. Can anyone recommed a good DRM removal software in order to play my music on the device, or is there a way to play DRM content on the device? (I was able to on my HD2 phone).
4. Surprisingly the HTC music app doesn't have an equalizer unlike its HD2 counterpart, so can anyone recommend a music app from the market place that will have equalizer functionality?
If these questions have been answered elsewhere then please point me in the correct direction....I did try the search beforehand, but couldn't find the answers to my questions.
Thanks for your help in advance
audacity can do your conversions for you, which should remove DRM
i have yet to find a music player with an equalizer, unfortunatey. i asked the same question a long time ago (hint-use the search function), and was given the same answer i'm giving you. apparently, it isn't so easy to create equalizer functionality using java coding
Hey thanks for your reply, I'll take a look at the software you mentioned.
As with the equalizer functionailty I can only hope this can be resolved, its a shame not to have it on such as great phone.
Thanks again!

Music Player Playback Position

I've had my HD2 from a coupla months now and have only just really started using the built in Music Player.
I've been using it to listen to podcast and to start with I used to like that it remembered the playback position so I could listen to a bit of a podcast and then more of it later on.
I thought that it only forgot the position in between soft-resets or power-cycles. But after using it more, I'm finding that sometimes it remembers and sometimes it doesn't
After a trawl thru the XDA-Dev site and Google, I'm not finding any questions regarding this, nevermind answers.
Has anyone come across this? Found a solution? Or can recommend a music player that reliably works?

Sorry I have no answer to your question, but I have a question of my own. How do you listen to podcasts? Is this streaming or simple mp3s downloaded to your phone?
